The Dosa here is out of this world! Never had a dosa with so much flavor and spice. I got their spicy dosa, the podi dosa. Was the perfect size too, didn't feel sluggish or too full after eating which sometimes happens when I eat at places that have massive ones. I also tried Andhra Garelu for the first time and it's now my new favorite Indian food. For those who aren't familiar, the best way I can describe it is a savory doughnut without any frosting or toppings (taste a lot like potato/french fries to me, but staff told me it was made with flour not potatoes). It was the perfect thing to dip in the sauces I had leftover from my dosa. The staff here are also incredibly friendly and I enjoy coming here to catch up with them. I have been to a few of their other locations before, but this was my first time at this one. We came for the weekend lunch buffet around 11:30 AM, and within about 20 minutes it got pretty crowded. The food was good overall, with a solid variety: chicken, mutton, and fish curries, biryani, several vegetarian dishes, mango lassi, sweets, curd rice, puri, vada, noodles, and hot tea. My personal favorites were the carrot halwa, mango lassi, and biryani. The only downside was how they handled the naan. Instead of having it at the buffet, they serve it directly to the table. With the rush, it was really hard to get any, we waited almost 20 minutes for our first (and only) basket. It would be much better if naan were available at the buffet or if they circulated it more frequently. On the plus side, they were quick about clearing plates. The food here is phenomenal! We came for lunch buffet on a Sunday and the place was packed. Buffet had great mix of veg and non-veg options. The butter chicken was great, but the tandoori was the star - crispy skin and juicy meat. The goat curry was also excellent. And the yellow daal was packed with flavor. Complex mix of cardamon, cinnamon, chilies, fennel seeds, dried ginger powder. Has slightly intense heat. Cut heat by eating it with garlic naan, white basmati rice. Was able to handle heat. *goat meat very tender, moist, almost falling off bone. Unlike other Indian eateries. Garlic naan (3.49) baked. Size of personal pizza. -fluffier than the usual. Not flat, made with cilantro, garlic, butter. Semi-crunchy/soft. Soaks up sauces. Basmati rice-fluffly, good for cooking hot sauces Sips: Chai (comped) -unsweetened Indian tea with milk. Nice new addition to the Indian food scene in Pleasanton. Visited with former colleagues yesterday. We were the only customers when they opened at 11:30, and the crowds didn't start arriving till 12:15 or so, which meant we had the place all to ourselves! We tried the following: - cut mirchi appetizer. This was very good, and served with chutney and curry. It set the tone for a delicious meal. - goat vindaloo. Excellent. It had the right amount of tanginess from the vinegar, and was made by their Goan cook! - lassouni saag paneer. One of my favorite dishes - the garlic was subtle, but noticeable. - railway egg curry. A staple of railway stations all over India, this brought back childhood memories. - bread basket (garlic naan, butter naan, onion kulcha). This was very good value. Service from Roy was very good. Bill was a little over $75 after tax and tip. Will be back for sure, to try some of their fish dishes now that l know their cook is from Goa! read more

Not impressed with the food. The chilli chicken was saucy without any taste. The malai kofta sauce was good but the kofta itself was dry and tasteless. The chicken biriyani was tasteless. My favorites are the chicken noodles, chicken Tika kabobs, Bhatti ka murgh (similar to tandoori chicken), and dal fry, among other good things. Service is good and staff is friendly. Just visited this amazing restaurant on its grand opening, which took place on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami. I tried the Mysore Bonda, Onion Mirchi Bhaji, and my favourite Ulavacharu Paneer Biryani--all tasted phenomenal. The biryanis(both veg and non veg) quality of rice , spices used has been drastically reduced. Its just taste more like pulao than "BIRYANI". I tried the lunch buffet on Friday 3/6/2026. The selection of vegetarian dishes is mediocre at best. The paneer was cooked in cream. Another issue is the selection of deserts, only halva & fruit in cream and not very tasty. Sorry not worth the price. My two star are for customer service which was excellent. read more

Food is fabulous and amazing quality. Well prepared and yummy. We were so excited this one opened because its near my my mother and we love the one in Sunnyvale. I will say, this one is much much more spicy . We can handle a good amount of spice and we ordered what we usually get in Sunnyvale but these were substantially spicier. I would definitely order one level less spicy. We had leftovers, which we planned on and the next day, the food was even a bit spicier. We loved it, tho, but would order a little less spicy . The staff was very pleasant and welcoming altho they really tried to get us to order different things but we came in knowing what we wanted... They still kept trying to steer us to other foods a little more than we were comfortable but we got what we wanted. I think the quality of food might even be better at the Pleasanton location than Sunnyvale! Both places have halal meat. read more
