Sampling Ukraft's Fall menu additions during the Foodie Fam takeover. What stands out about Ukraft is their commitment to inclusivity when it comes to dietary needs. #stlouispescatarianapproved for sure and very friendly to gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and other dietary preferences. We sampled the entire fall menu, and it was a delightful combination of flavors. The ingredients were clearly crafted with care, and the result was tasty and satisfying. The "why" behind Ukraft is clear - they aim to provide a healthier alternative using fresh ingredients crafted from scratch. It's evident in the taste and quality of the food they serve. The convenience of ordering through dine-in, pick-up, delivery, or even catering, including their Food Truck for private events, is a great offering. Ukraft's presence with three locations in Downtown, Clayton, and Chesterfield makes it accessible to a wide audience. And for coffee lovers, their coffee club is a fantastic addition. It's a place where you can not only enjoy delicious and healthy food but also appreciate the thought and dedication that goes into each dish. read more

Ukraft Cafe was nothing short of a culinary adventure. I had the pleasure of sampling a variety of items on their menu, and each dish left a lasting impression. The chipotle chicken sandwich was a spicy sensation, packing a flavorful punch that I thoroughly enjoyed. Equally impressive was the chicken caprese sandwich, which was a delightful combination of fresh ingredients, leaving me craving for more. For refreshments, I tried both a smoothie and coffee. The smoothie was a refreshing and healthy choice, while the coffee hit the spot, offering a perfect caffeine fix. Ukraft Cafe certainly knows how to deliver on flavor, and I left with a satisfied palate. If you're in search of tasty and diverse options, this is the place to be. read more

The decor and music make you feel like you could have been on the set of a show like Happy Days. The staff does not wear poodle skirts, etc, though! Our server was Deon and she was great! She kept things moving and she had a great personality. We had trouble deciding what to order because a lot of the menu items sounded really good. But we eventually decided and placed our order. Our food was really good for the most part. I had to choose a side and I chose cheesy grits. The grits were not good at all. They were truly awful. First of all, there was nothing cheesy about them. No cheese. And they were thin and runny and had no flavor, but also managed to taste horrible at the same time. And they were lumpy. I have never seen or tasted any grits like these and I hope to never again. My husband drinks black coffee. He took one sip and made a face. I know that face! The coffee wasn't good. He said it was VERY weak. We both thought diners were typically known for good coffee - but apparently not all of them! I went to the restroom before we left. It was clean enough. I washed my hands and went to dry them but there was nothing to dry them with. An employee was in there putting on makeup. She asked if there were paper towels and I said no. She said she would get some "in a little bit". So I left with wet hands. The gal had been working so I don't know if she was on a break or what, but she was not helpful! My husband said the men's restroom was absolutely filthy and that there was toilet paper all over the floor. Deon and (mostly) good food were the best part of our time there. We won't be going

Alas, I couldn't, or more accurately, wouldn't finish my meal. It was obvious that it had sat in the kitchen pass for quite awhile. I'm not sure it would have been much better served piping hot. The nachos came out with three times more chips than toppings. We ordered with chicken, and there couldn't have been more than about 1/8 cup of chicken on the entire tray. The jalapeños were pickled rather than fresh, and the nachos were served cold. The salad was beautifully presented, but again--where was the chicken? There was barely any protein, and despite looking great, the salad itself lacked flavor. The tacos were probably the biggest disappointment. Everything was incredibly greasy, and I'm honestly not sure why. The birria taco was so greasy that it was inedible. Across the board, the food just lacked flavor. The staff wasn't rude, but there was also very little sense of care or attention, and unfortunately that seemed to carry over into the dining space as well. The amount of food wasn't necessarily the issue--it was the lack of protein, flavor, and overall execution. For the price, it felt honestly like a rip off. I really wanted to like this place, especially given the UKraft connection, but based on this experience, I can't recommend it.

Great local diner…read more.. I live less than 5 minutes from JoJo's, and have been there several times. Time for a quick review. I'm under the impression that the chef is also the owner. The menu is breakfast-centric (they open early and close at 2:00). There is also a slight Mediterranean bent... gyro omelet, for instance. The breakfast potatoes are a real favorite, thin, browned, crisp rounds... I always tell myself I'm not going to eat all the potatoes (I could stand to lose a few pounds!), but I always eat them anyway. This guy can cook! The food is fresh, flavors on point, and even though I've usually had breakfast there, I've also had a couple of burgers, which were excellent. The chili is also really great, and they always ask if you want cheese and chopped onions on it. I'm a little surprised by the comments about slow service. After sitting down, I noticed paper menus sitting on the counter, so I walked over to grab them. The lady at the register, who later claimed to be the manager after I asked to speak to one, said, "I will bring them to you." Also fine. I simply went back to our booth and waited. When she came over, instead of saying hello or introducing herself, her first words were, "You need to practice a little patience." That immediately put my service radar on high alert. There was no attitude from us, no complaints, we had simply walked over to grab menus. The comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. She then asked what we wanted to drink. I calmly asked, "Can you wipe the table down?" Her response: "It is." I replied, "It is not there are spots on the table." She then pointed at the table and said, "These are imperfections." I know the difference between imperfections in a surface and spots that can be wiped clean. The table clearly had residue on it. Rather than simply wiping it down, she chose to argue. At that point, I told my husband, "Let's just leave." The entire interaction felt dismissive, defensive, and rude. When I asked to speak to a manager, she claimed she was the manager. I let her know directly that her tone and behavior were inappropriate, and we left. Customer service is about making guests feel welcome. This felt the exact opposite. I should have trusted the 3.7-star rating, but I gave the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake. Do not waste your time or money here.
