We came here a number of times when they first opened this location. We really enjoyed everything about it. And then we went one time and our food was, at best, lukewarm. We were talking to one of the owners and mentioned it. The next time we went it was the same thing. We waited a while before going back. The last time we went, our food was cold. We decided to not go back again. It had been quite a while - maybe a year - since we had been there. We gave it another try today. We literally ordered our biscuits and gravy "extra hot" and hoped for the best! My gravy was hot - not super hot, but hot enough. My husband's was a bit cooler. He had eggs on top of his and the gravy under the eggs was warm, but not the rest of it. The service is great, the staff is friendly and very efficient, and the place is always clean and looks nice. Looks are deceiving - this place looks like a dinky little strip mall store from a distance but up close it has a lot to offer. It's open and with a great deal of natural light inside, there's a big window to the kitchen, and the table setup leaves enough room to maneuver. Seats are pretty uncomfortable which is the one negative about this place but probably the reason they can achieve enough table turnover to meet demand. The menu is surprisingly comprehensive and has a ton of fusion options. The cornbread waffle with chicken is a great brunch option - it's not just smoothies by any means, even though those are advertised as the primary product. The smoothies are great but the bowls are my favorite. Most menu options can be made as a wrap, sandwich, or bowl which is honestly a fantastic idea that I wish more places did. Prices are a little higher than true fast food, but correlate with the quality of what you get well. Service is reasonably efficient. Overall, a great place for a short, quality meal with some variety from usual breakfast/brunch options or to pick up a creative smoothie. Hit this place for an easy lunch today. Ordered the Chipotle Chicken Panini with potato salad. The time to get my food was faster than I expected and it was waiting for me on a shelf upon my arrival. The sandwich was delicious and messy, sitting at about 8" long and 2-3" wide. Honestly, my fear ordering was that it would be a tiny sandwich, but it was a decent size and filled with really good ingredients. The potato salad was flavorful and spicy (not hot spicy), but was a tad on the runnier side. I suspect the consistency is a matter of the particular recipe, but the flavor was really good. Everything from the UKraft breakfast to the Turkey sausage and egg bowl to the club sandwich. Everything has been really good. And fresh!!! The smoothies are also very good. Highly recommend the strawberry banana smoothie. My only recommendation is the service. We have been here literally every weekend for the last few months. The first few times the service was really good. I'm not sure if they are hiring new employees, or what, but the last couple times we have been in here the "kids" working are not very friendly or inviting. You walk in and they literally just stare at you. No smile. No greeting. If it wasn't for us being here before and having great expletives with friendly staff, we probably would not come back. We tried UKraft today for brunch. It was quite busy which was encouraging. The menu is very large and a bit overwhelming. Since this is a fast casual place where you stand in line to order, you may want to check out the menu online ahead of your visit, so you're ready to order when it's your turn. We shared an egg burrito, which was very good, some avocado toast which wasn't good at all, and yogurt with fruit, which was great, plus a coffee and iced tea, which were also quite good. I mentioned to the owner my concern about the avocado toast - the bread, which was sandwich bread, was not very toasted, or tasty, and the avocado was an avocado spread with a sprinkling of seed seasoning which just didn't have the flavors or texture I'm looking for in avocado toast. The restaurant owner offered a substitute and recommended an upgraded BLT avocado toast with an egg, which definitely improved the dish but put it into a heartier category than what I set out to eat. However, the gesture to make our experience better was definitely appreciated. As for the ambiance, it's fairly simple and straightforward. I think we'll give this restaurant another try.
