Don't fix your phone at a UBreakiFix. I fixed mine at one further south and the screen stopped working. It's supposed to have warranty for a year so I went to this location since the other location didn't have my phone's screen (they said the other locations can fix it too). On the phone they were already saying they likely wouldn't be able to honor the warranty but to come in. I went in and they said I couldn't get it fixed under the warranty (I got it fixed like 2-3 weeks ago). I asked so then what does the warranty cover and they couldn't give me an answer and just said they couldn't help. Overall, the screen did work at first, but within a few weeks it can turn black and they won't honor their warranty and fix it. Would not recommend! read more

So far, I'm really disappointed in how the repair of my son's Xbox has been going. I specifically called Microsoft to get the $200 non-warranty claim replaced or repair Xbox service. They referred me to their Asurion to manage it who referred me to uBreakiFix - upon my arrival the guy said I can give you a better deal. I will charge you $100 fix your Xbox and have it done in 2 to 3 hours if you buy this $30 a month all your technology covered under warranty subscription so I did that and it was very painful to wait for hours in South Austin because I'm in Bastrop so I ended up spending $140 out in South Austin on their juice land and getting my nails done and doing whatever to pass the time to get the stupid Xbox fixed and then when I walked back in there four hours later, I'm like hey is it done yet and they smell like oh yeah it is we sent you a text in an email which they did not I did not get a text or an email so then we get home and we plug it in and yeah the HDMI cable is working but not for any games. It doesn't work for games and instead of repairing it. It's now broken still so I called them and they say bring it back and we'll fix it for you. No charge and make sure it works when I bring it back in and drop it off on that same day. It causes me to be late for a hockey game for my only uncle and family here in Austin and stresses me out and stresses him out because we miss picking him up for the game and it's a huge distress and I'm a single mom and my sons and I and it's the holidays and it's just a huge burden and I'm so depressed now and it's all because of the stupid Xbox that I was literally calling and trying to get done do the mail to just send it into Microsoft for 3 to 4 weeks as it is that it has been broken and it takes me literally 30 to 45 minutes just to get to this ridiculous location because there's nothing in Bastrop so anyways I drop it off. They said it should be ready Monday on Monday when I have my guy call in to pick it up. They say bad news or something with the motherboard. We are gonna have to charge you more charge it again or it needs a full replacement instead of like I already paid the hundred dollars which should be the full fee replace a repair fee and I've paid for the subscription and well you should wait another month and pay us another hundred dollars and it doesn't make any fucking sense because then I'm paying $260 if they had just not fucked with everything in my life and they could've just said OK well honor your $200 non-warranty claim with Microsoft sent it into Microsoft and let Microsoft send me a new one or do it themselves like I don't understand why they're trying to destroy my life and make my life so hard and sufferable. My life is already fucking hard. My life is very hard they're supposed to do their job so my life is easier and I don't have as much stress they're supposed to do their job if everyone was competent and did their job. Well everything would work better and everyone's lives would be easier because that's their role and it has a big impact on everybody's life. If you don't do your job well and I just seem to keep running into people at all sorts of companies and everywhere that just like don't understand that I am a whole person with a whole life and a lot of responsibilities and very limited time and very limited resources and and then they just keep screwing me over so I just don't know and I'm really unhappy and I just don't understand why they can't honor the hundred dollars my son saved up that money and like that's in my son's money for him to fix his Xbox and he paid them and they said they would fix it for that hundred dollars and they haven't fixed it so now I have a kid who's crying and is upset and miserable when I'm already have a lot going on and I am so stressed out as it is all because they didn't do their job they said if I gave them $100 and my son gave them $100. They would fix the Xbox and get it to working condition and they didn't and now I have to call Asher on and Microsoft and spend more time on it and complain about these people that are overcharging me and not honoring their warranty. In summary, don't waste your time here and go to another place if the issue is with the mainboard of your laptop. This location is chaotic and disorganized. There're rarely any communication and updates from their end during the whole process. On Sep 13 I brought in my MacBook Pro because it wouldn't turn on. They said they can do a diagnostic and give the results and quote in several hours, so I left my laptop there. They didn't send emails or texts to suggest they received the laptop. On Sep 14 and 15, I called them and they either said the diagnostic guy was incredibly late or hasn't started on my device yet. On Sep 17, four days later since I brought it in, they called and gave their diagnostic, which is liquid damage. The estimated repair time given was 1 to 2 weeks. I said please proceed with the repair. On Sep 26, I sent an email to the email address on their name card inquiring repair status of my laptop, no reply received. On Sep 28, I called them and they told me they didn't get my reply to their calls on Sep 17, which is false based on my call history. They said they have a contractor who does the repair on mainboard and he will be there in 2 days. On Oct 1, I called again and they still claimed they didn't get my reply to their calls on Sep 17, and the 'mainboard guy' hasn't even come in to look at my laptop yet. It has been 14 days since their diagnostic and 18 days since I brought my laptop in, their so called 'mainboard guy' hasn't even looked at it! Since they kept saying they didn't hear from me (which is false), who knows if their mainboard guy actually exists? I brought back my laptop on Oct 2, wasting almost 20 days at their place. They keep trying to irresponsibly blame the customer when it's obviously their mistake. They are good at making promises but horrible at fulfilling them. Unprofessional and disrespectful. Trying to do my repair here is the biggest mistake and regret this year for me. read more

I brought in my iPhone to get a cracked screen replaced. My phone still worked fine. After their "fix" my phone was unusable. I had to take it elsewhere the following day for a genuine screen replacement to actually have a working phone. Don't waste your time or money at this place if you have a cracked screen. I wish I hadn't. I can't comment on any other services they offer but I'm disappointed I was charged $200+ for them to make my phone inoperable. For the cost of this screen replacement and the 2nd genuine screen replacement (duplicated work) I could have bought a new phone. Super bummer that I was taken advantage of like this and I hope you can avoid the same happening to you. read more

Just one of the worst experiences here. I took my phone in for a battery replacement. The owner Andrew worked on it and told me it was finished. When i came to pick it up, I waited an hour in their lobby before they came out to tell me that, in fact, the battery wasn't taking a charge. I brought my phone in again the next day as he insisted they wanted another chance to work on it but instead my poor phone died that day, never to turn on again. RIP. To "resolve" the issue they ordered a used phone of the same model on a Tuesday and said it would arrive by Saturday. Not acceptable. Since I couldn't be without a phone for that long for my work and well... life, I went out and bought a new phone that day. So TLDR, they broke my working phone and i didn't feel like they did enough to make it right. I spent 3 hours in their lobby waiting and could have been without a phone for 6 days if i hadn't gone and bought a new one myself. Even a loaner phone could have gotten me through the week. I understand mistakes happen but it's how you deal with them when they happen that prevents me from actually getting on Yelp to write a two star review. Or not bricking a working phone in the first place would have been nice too. Stay away. read more

I had a case around my phone and have dropped it many times without it breaking the screen. One day, I was holding a drink in my hand, with my phone in my other hand. I thought it would be cool and efficient to grab a snack while I had my hands full. As I started to drop my phone out of my left hand, with velocity I tried to grab it with my right hand, and ended up pushing it at warp speed face down on the tiled floor. Shattered! But these guys fixed it and I had new glass in 1.5 hours for a pretty reasonable price. They're also nice guys, and to top it off, they don't care if you don't wear a mask so + points there as well. Definitely recommend and will return if my clumsiness leads to more broken phone glass in my future. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I requested the screen replacement service for my iPhone 12 pro, which totaled approximately $200. I chose the LCD option, as I was advised by the technician that the quality and durability would be nearly identical to that of the OLEM screen. Upon falling two feet onto a carpet floor, the very same day of the service, the screen cracked. Their parts are cheap, your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

I went in to get my screen fixed and thought everything had gone great. But shortly thereafter the replacement screen started developing display issues. Screen defects are apparently not covered under their warranty and they blamed me for the issues despite the fact that there was absolutely no physical damage to the screen itself. I'm really torn about my experience. I believe Nick helped me here with me PC tower. I had an appointment at the southpark meadows location and they couldn't work on my pc for whatever reason so sent me to s 1st. Nick said that he probably wouldn't be able to get to it till Sunday/Monday. To my surprise the very next day he was calling about the pc to work on it. That same day he said he figured out that my CPU was overheating, took it apart, cleaned it, and applied more thermal paste and said temps were fine! The very next day my temps reached 95 degrees on my cpu and has been turning off automatically again. I paid $100 which even then he said he was hooking me up which I appreciate but this clearly didn't fix the issue and I'm not sure I want to dish out another few hundred dollars to find the root of the cause. Nick was great and provided great customer service, just not sure if I trust the work they do. Would love if they could take a look at it and actually fix whatever the issue is since what I paid for didn't fix the issue. read more

I went to this "Repair" Business for a device because BestBuy doesn't fix my switch and said they were "recommended" I wouldn't agree. They aren't worth it, so don't go there. They wasted 2 weeks of my time and they are sure to waste yours. They said they'd call me when it was done. They NEVER called back at all whatsoever, in fact, I tried to call and it just rang through and I could never get a hold of them. They also literally rendered my switch useless by bricking the game card reader. I now have to buy a console out of pocket because of this issue. They also lost a few screws which contained the flap to keep dust from going into the card reader slot for my games. The only thing I liked about them was that they didn't cost me anything for the mishap. I will never be coming back; I'm very mad at them and you should be too. read more

All I needed was a simple diagnostic for a known Samsung wifi issue. The tech had no idea about the issue and would need the phone for 3 working days. I understand being busy, but it would help to guide customers better when registering for an appointment online. I thought "appointment" meant an appointment time to inspect the phone during that "appointment", otherwise why make an appointment to just drop it off. Probably great if you need a broken screen repaired, but would recommend calling and discussing any other issue first so expectations are not set. read more

Went in on a Sunday afternoon without an appointment with a cracked iPhone XS. 30 minutes later I had a perfectly repaired screen. I was so pleased with the speed and quality of the work done (price wasn't a concern because they serviced the AT&T warranty) that I added a screen protector that they installed in under five minutes. Add that my 14 year old son (whose phone was being repaired) commented as we left how clean the place was and the friendly service.
