When we decided to remodel our Kitchen during Summer 2019, we shopped around many stores and consulted many contractors for our project. Seeing the great reviews, we came to UB Kitchens and right away we decided these are the guys we should hire for our project. Our designer is Andria, who came to our home, took measurements, guided us with the design options creating beautiful design. From start to finish we had a very great experience and never felt rushed. During the design process, we grilled them with many queries, and they answered very patiently making us feel very comfortable with the whole process. When Andria was on vacation, we had urgent queries reached out to another designer Craig, who also spent a lot time patiently with us answering all our questions to our satisfaction. Even the Cabinets delivery guys were super friendly, very professional and clearly cared about the job and quality of the work they do and ensured we are 100% satisfied. Coming to the installers, they are really pros. These guys work very hard and pay extra caution to the micro level details ensuring the installation is done with 100% top quality. They all are were super friendly with us, and showed great professionalism. During and after the installation, Andria visited the job site couple times for inspection ensuring the work is done with great quality. She found minor glitches that we will never notice with our eyes and she got them takencare. I have waited an year to write this review to make sure I have thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful & modern Kitchen without any issues and be 100% satisfied, so I can write a more genuine review about UBK. Now I can speak confidently that we made the best decision to hire these guys to design and rebuild our new Kitchen place. UBK is committed to do things right and not cut corners for short term profits. You wont get this outstanding service from anywhere else in Austin. We recently completed a kitchen remodel with UBK, and from start to finish it couldn't have been better. Our experience was perhaps a little different, as the primary factor was not so much the budget aspect, but time. We had been working with a BigBox designer who, although we believe we made it very clear, unfortunately didn't' seem to get the message the we were under very tight time constraints. So with about 3 weeks to go to our daughters wedding, lots of family and friends coming in, etc., we were informed that although the cabinets could 'probably' be installed, no way for the countertops ("just lay some plywood over the base cabinets.."). Goodbye. We figured that it just wouldn't happen, but more on a lark we went to UBK late one afternoon. Terry was there and just getting ready to close. She worked with us that evening to get a clear idea what we were after, penciled us in to save a spot, and within just a couple of days, she had been to the house to measure, had drawings of the new cabinet layout, verified that it could all be scheduled, and we were off. The end of the story is that they did what they said they would, I sure didn't' think could be done. New cabinets and countertops in a little over 2 weeks and it looks great. The installers were excellent, making sure as they went along that things were fine as far as fit, level, operating smoothly, verifying handle layout, etc. - all the kind of stuff that comes back to bite you after the fact. I should also mention David Shica of DS Surfaces, who works with UBK. He came out to measure and make templates on a Friday, and installed the granite countertops the following Tuesday. First of all, I don't ever leave Yelp reviews. As a matter as a fact, this used to be a fake account that I created to post a negative review of that dentist who shot Cecil the Lion a few years back, and I think that's the only review I've ever left before. But, after my experience with UB Kitchens, I felt I needed to leave another review. I am in the middle of a 14 months remodel project and have been working with Craig and Adam for nearly 10 months now. Of all of the vendors I have worked with (contractors, plumbers, electricians, framers, etc), UB Kitchens have literally been the only ones who have, every time, done what they said, been there when they said they were going to be there, and the customer services has been second to none. The experience has been great from day 1. Craig is my main contact, and he has been an absolute pleasure to work with. There has only been one hiccup in the entire process, which I originally thought was an issue from UB Kitchen, and as soon as I expressed that, Adam reached out immediately and worked with me and the contractor to get it resolved. As it turns out, it was actually my fault that it all happened, and Adam and his team bent over backwards to ensure a solution that would work for everyone to keep the project on-time, including multiple reschedules and visits. On top of that, his crew has been courteous, professional, and a pleasure to be around. While they are at the house for hours doing the installation, I have enjoyed speaking with them and getting to know them. Overall, I cannot recommend these folks enough. UB Kitchens designed, ordered and installed my beautiful kitchen in 5 weeks. After 5 months of with Home Depot's poor design mistakes, incomplete orders and lost cabinets misplaced, I finally called their corporate to cancel and to come get their cabinets that had been sitting on my kitchen floor uninstalled for almost 3 months. God was watching out for me when I saw a quick UB Kitchens commerical on TV. After reading the great reviews, I wanted to see for myself if I might be able to write my own review. Terry (my designer) immediately greeted me as I walked through the door. Terry has 20 plus years as a kitchen designer. Terry listened to my ideas and needs as she designed my kitchen to be functional, practical and beautiful. Terry excused herself for a few minutes, but returned with Adam (owner of UBK) who said he would have kitchen installed BEFORE Thanksgiving. He said you have been without a kitchen since July and you deserve to have it as soon as possible. Needless to say, it was hard to believe I could have it in 5 weeks. The cabinets came a few days early. Cabinets were delivered and handled with white gloves. Immediately the installers were there to begin their part. It was impressive not only to watch, but even more impreressive to hear their comments to one another; a little more to the right, a little more higher, when it's perfect, I'll be happy, please and thanks. I was proud for them as they took so much pride in their craftsmanship. I was in the process of upgrading my kitchen when the frustration of design, cost, product quality, countertops, and appliances became to much to handle. A friend refereed me to Under Budget Cabinets and explained to me that I would be in good hands. After spending my fair share of time at Home Depot and Ikea with no solution in sight I was skeptical. I gave them a call and was invited into their showroom by Anne, one of the designers. It became clear after meeting with the designer (Anne) and the owner (Adam) that I had found the solution I was looking for. They came out to my house to measure my kitchen at my connivence. The prices are substantially lower then the other places and for the price of particle board cabinets at Home Depot I got all wood cabinets with a variety of design and colors to choose from. (Espresso was the color for me). I was also able to finance the kitchen of my dreams. I went even further with the company and bought countertops and talked to the flooring specialist (Connie) who tied my whole kitchen together with the perfect tile. The installer (John) was very experienced and answered all my questions and concerns. If you are looking for quality cabinets at an affordable price with excellent service try Under Budget Cabinets. I am currently using them to upgrade my bathrooms and the process is just as pleasant as the first. read more

After trying to work with two large box stores for months and not getting anywhere, our neighbor suggested UB Kitchens. They had just started a major house renovation. We have a 1950's, 1490 sq. ft. house in central Austin and needed more storage, counterspace as well as an update. The whole project starting with the quote all the way to the final touch ups went so smoothly that we could not have been more pleased. UB kitchens valued our vision and expanded it without breaking our budget. The list of recommended contractors and suppliers were very professional and we ended up using their contractor, granite guy, plumber, and appliance supplier on their approved vendor list. 5 stars for them as well! We have been in our new kitchen for a few months now and absolutely love it. We have no regrets and would not have changed anything about the experience. We had a different designer than our neighbor but suspect they all are very good because we were extremely pleased with our designer Joe H. He coordinated most of our process above and beyond what he needed to but we needed that kind of assistance. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted but Joe helped us fine tune it. The results are beautiful and my husband didn't pull his hair out during the renovation since UB Kitchens and Fine Line Remodeling made it so easy for us. read more

So I made a huge mistake!!! I got a quote and a plan from UB Kitchens but then did not hire them and I should have! Patrice came up with a great plan. Then when I presented it to my contractor he said " don't do it I will make these old cabinets beautiful, and save you money for a better end result". Well, 4 paint jobs later and now a new painter and my home in full disruption mode for such a long time---I can promise you that I made the wrong decision. In the end the price is about the same. But no warranty like UB would have provided. Funny how the savings from the contractor did not come to be, the higher quality doors and fronts and then pullout (things just kept growing with this project) have had issues like green wood that warped and pullouts that don't glide perfectly. Long story short, I would use Patrice and UB Kitchens in a heartbeat. I am a Realtor and I see thousands of kitchens each year, in fact Patrice did one of my clients homes who also reviewed them. The ease of selling Bethany's home came because of the beautiful kitchen. SOOOOO sorry I did not do things with them as I first was inclined to do. OH-now I know why I was talked out-the contractor got 20% of what he ordered not what I ordered. read more

We worked with Terry, but please understand, everyone we interacted with at UB Kitchens was as good as Terry. Terry did the whole design, referred us to contractors and got the ball rolling. We ended up using a contractor not on their list and that was not a problem!. They worked well together and had all the details hammered out without issue. Even a change in dimensions after we were down to the studs was handled by them without issue. With all the contractor work, new windows, new appliances, new granite and new cabinets the costs were rising, my contractor saw the cabinets and compared them to those he uses, he was impressed with the quality and the finish and stated he would use these in the future. The installation went as seamless as the design with UB. The day the install was completed, the installer reviewed all the cabinets and created a punch list of items needed (trim we wanted, drawer sticking, cabinet knot issue). Once the parts were in and the job was completed to our satisfaction, Terry closed out the job with us and we received our final payment billing. I would highly recommend UB Kitchens to anyone wanting quality work and a hassle-free design and installation process. Nothing but 5 starts to give! read more

UB Kitchens was recommended to us by a family member and also a local contractor. We were greeted immediately by Curtis Kishur, who by the way has been in contact with us the entire build time which is extremely important when tackling a remodel. Anyways, we came to Curtis and UB kitchens with just ideas, nothing set in stone, within a day he had an entire custom kitchen layout specifically highlighting our wants and needs. Curtis was patient enough to actually listen and not interject his own ideas unless we asked, which we actually used some of his designs in our now custom kitchen. When it came time to install, Curtis took the time to conduct a meeting with my contractor and myself on site at my home to make sure all was well and spot on by doing an on site inspection/final measure. Being prior military I can appreciate someone has the "attention to detail" attitude and who is diligent in what they do. We could not be happier with our kitchen and Curtis' expertise and professionalism. About a year ago we decided to purchase our kitchen cabinets from UB Kitchens. It was a wonderful experience. UB Kitchens designer Joe Hoffer did a fantastic job listening to us and understanding what we wanted. Also, he is a designer with technical construction knowledge which a lot of designers are weak in. The UB Kitchens installers were equally excellent. The cabinets are well made and durable. The installation workmanship is flawless. I purchased a built in wine cooler which was not part of the new cabinet installation. The installer did a fabulous job finishing the cabinet so my wine cooler looked like it was part of the cabinet purchase. About a year before we purchased a very nice custom made cabinet for our master bath room from a local custom cabinet company. The UB Kitchen Cabinet is superior in quality compared to it. Joe is very busy but always called me back. Ub Kitchens doesn't advertise much maybe because they are is such demand that they have a rather long backlog. UB Kitchens and Joe Hoffer are excellent to do business with. read more

Like most, we originally looked at lower quality and cheaper cost cabinets but just were not satisfied with overall look and construction of those products. Our contractor recommended UB Kitchens. UB Kitchens were absolutely first rate. We worked with Craig who came to our home several times and walked us through all the options available including layout and special options that were important to us. That was followed up with drawings and several more meetings to make sure we were purchasing exactly what we wanted. Horrible experience. Worst pricing on my kitchen remodel. Flat panel stone cabinets were not cut accurately and did not lay flush. Countertop had rugged edges in certain areas. When I had a contractor review the work; he was aghast at the poor quality of the work. I had to have almost half of the work re-done. The Company is clueless. I cannot understand how this guy who has a marketing background and an arrogant attitude is still in this business. When I brought it to his attention, he attacked me verbally with insults and threats to pay or else. Stay as far away from this Company as possible. Adding to my prior post; I did hear that this guy was having financial difficulties from COVID and is selling his businesses. If that is the reason why he is so desperately still asking my for payment; I feel bad for him. This is not meant to be a bad review. Just my experience and I hope it gets better for him. Can't say enough good things about this organization. We looked for a long time and did a lot of competitive shopping for a company to replace our kitchen cabinets before deciding on UB Kitchens. We just underwent an huge kitchen overhaul. Our designer, Patrice Rios, met with us before we purchased our new home where we were doing the renovation. She was able to quickly understand our style and delivered an incredible model resulting in our "dream kitchen". We could not have done it so successfully without her expertise in deisgn and her products. She worked with us on every detail of the remodel easing our worries over the immense amount of decisions that need to be made. I recently remodeled my kitchen and choose UB to do the cabinetry. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I had definite ideas about what I wanted to do and Joe, the UB designer, was very helpful, working with me on the design and pricing, so I got my dream kitchen at the price I could afford. They were right on time with the delivery and install date they gave me and their installer, Rafael, was very professional , took his time and did an excellent job with great attention to detail, both during the initial install and the follow up to install the kick boards. They also pointed out imperfections in the cabinet doors, I would not have noticed and put in the order for replacements right away. I cannot be happier with the final result. UB Kitchens installed new cabinets in my kitchen and I'm super happy! Andrea, my designer, was a delight to work with. She offered great ideas but didn't push me. Her communication was fantastic as I was my own GC and learning as I went. It takes a while for the cabinets to be fabricated but they were delivered exactly when I was told they would be. Our installers, Allen and Brandon, were polite and very enjoyable to have in the house. Allen is a true craftsman, working to blend my wall crown molding with the cabinet crown molding seamlessly. They stopped and asked for my input several times which I really appreciated. I purchased semi-custom cabinets but feel like I got custom ones!! The attention to detail was beyond what I expected. The owner even came by to pick up trash one evening! I would highly recommend UB Kitchens to anyone looking for new cabinets. read more

We finished our kitchen remodel in April and cannot even begin to tell you what a pleasant experience it was to work with Adam and his staff! I've never done a kitchen remodel before and they walked us through the process, step by step. In addition, every single referral he gave us regarding electrician, plumber, counter top install, etc were nothing short of fabulous. What box name companies do you know that the owner will come out on installation day and do a thorough walk-thru to ensure everything is perfect?
