I really wanted to like this spa. It has a great location and a great look. Unfortunately, those were the only positives I experienced at this facility. My one-hour facial with chemical peel was, at best, 40 minutes, at least ten of which Heydi was not in the room. There was no discussion as to the type of peel (there were several that were available), I was just given it and only because I was in the room for ten minutes alone did I deduce it was because the peel was on my skin. The extractions were painful and missed several areas on my face and her 'massage' spent a strangely large amount of time massaging my ear lobes. The last I looked, I'm not a dog. Her smart phone was not turned off and there was too much prep time and clean up time on MY time. I was also disappointed in the lack of knowledge by their salespeople of the cosmetic products in stock. BTW, Joy, it helps to try the product on the customer not on yourself if you actually want the customer to buy the product... I'm just saying.... read more

I would not recommend this spa. Here's why : I went for a facial. 1. The person did not give a complete 50 min facial 2. I had specifically requested unclogging of my pores and the lady, Sarah K., did not do that. 3. Most of the time, the person was just sitting there waiting for the face masque to dry. 4. There was almost no time spent on the face massage or neck and shoulder massage. For a $90 facial, a total of 15-20 minutes were spent by the person in actually working on it. A very poor facial. I will not go there again. I typically go to woodhouse day spa there - it is more expensive but much better. read more

I recently , about 10 days ago , had Xeomin injection by Carol ! After a weak my eyebrow dropped & my eyelids got puffy! Now I have severe puffy and drooping eyelids that hardly can open my eyes ! Today She told me that there is nothin to do but waiting for wear off ... !! The worse part is I still have the wrinkles I wanted gone between brows... What a nightmare ... read more

So I checked for spas in my area with lipomassage and endermologie. Found this one. Called and was told about a special they had for 10 treatments for $500. Arrived at the facility to check it out for myself, was really NOT greeted until the ladies finished their conversation behind the counter. It was more of a, "Yes, can I help you"? I told them I wanted to ask about the services they offered. They stared at one another, but one young lady did get up and offer me pamphlets of the services. I said I'm interested in the lipomassage. One young lady immediately says we don't do massages........ I said yes I called and you do have lipomassage. She says, "oh I thought you wanted a massage". . I hate when people cut you off and don't know what they're talking about. I decided to ignore the sub par customer service so far and proceed with my mission. So I asked about the special someone told me about over the phone a week ago. They immediately said there was no special like that ever. I said, "Hmmm....." And proceeded to the door to leave. No one said Thank You, Sorry, Can we offer you another service?....nothing. I walked out the door and then checked my phone for the website. Found the special! Went back in and said, "Is your website up-to-date? It's on your website." The young girl said, "No, it's not on there". I then tried to show her on my phone and she said, "Oh you're talking about a promotion we'll have in December". I said, "No, it says fall special." She then asked to see. . She said that was October, mind you it's November 4th. So I said, "So last week when I called there was a special. Last week was October. The special is over now." The young girl said, "Yeah". I walked out the door once again. This is not only sad but pissed me off since this is the closest spa offering the service I need, but they certainly didn't seem to want my business while other customers came in and was greeted heartedly. I felt like they thought I was LOST or something.....like I didn't belong in their spa. Too bad. I'll continue to drive to downtown Dallas where I feel like a valued customer. Would NOT recommend. For some odd reason Carol the owner will not work on you if you are not "white". I am mixed race she asked right off the bat. She told me I was not a good candidate for Laser because of my mixed ethnicity and skin color. I lived in Beverly Hills prior to moving here and NEVER had this problem. My best friend sells the Fraxel laser so I immediately called her and she could not believe she said this too me. I left confused and insulted. I left here with severe burns after the SECOND attempt of laser hair removal treatments because the first round did absolutely nothing..I revisited to have treatment redone and let their PA carol do treatment.. she bumped up setting since no hair was removed for previous 6 treatments. She actually needed technician to help her and I was burned and scarred from her negligence. TERRIBLE PLACE.. DON'T LET THEIR "PACKAGE DEALS" LURE YOU. I love going to U Med Spa and receiving treatments. I am of different ethnicity and was also told that because of my background the lasers have a high risk of burning me because the laser picks up the pigment quicker. They thoroughly explained it to me and do not do it bc they are "racist" or don't want to, they are simply safe unlike other places who take the risk. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for honest people who know what they are doing to treat you. read more

I went to Umed Spa for the first time to get dysport injections. I chose UMed Spa after reading positive reviews on Yelp and Google. This is the first time I've ever had this type of procedure done and I was a bit nervous since I'm a newby at this kind of stuff, but the staff was friendly and knowlegeble, and made me feel completely comfortable. I was given clear information on what to expect before and after the procedure. Carol did the injections. She spent plenty of time with me explaining what she was going to do and what to expect during and after the procedure, and she gave me plenty of time to ask questions. The procedure went well and was less painful than I had expected. Before I left, I have to honestly say that I was expecting to have the staff members try to upsell me products, but I was happy to find that this never happened. Instead I got an unexpected friendly hug from Carol. The store looked very clean and the staff was professional and courteous. I have a free follow up appointment in two weeks since this is my first time to have injections and I'm looking forward to being a regular client here. I would definitely recommend UMed Spa for botox/dysport injuctions. read more

I signed up for the laser hair removal for my daughter. When I first made the appointment, I was not told this was only a consultation. I had to cancel the appointment because this is for my daughter who I have to fly in from Austin. The receptionist was uncooperative and would not allow consultation and treatment on the same day. No one was willing to work with me. In fact, she told me to contact Groupon and request a refund. read more

I had previously visited this spa for laser hair removal,so I purchased another groupon for Dysport. I went back for a recommended follow up appointment. I told Carol the owner, who is very sweet, that I didn't see any results. She stated that it takes time for the muscles to relax and for results to appear.. Several months later I am still waiting for the results. Instead of following up with me the consumer...I'm left still waiting for any results....which I believe will not come to appear. Carol and her team are just wonderful. They are so nice, so accomodating and so good! I had received a shoddy lip injection from a spa in OKC that left my lip deformed with a huge and very noticeable bump. Carol examined it and was sure she could fix it without reversing the 'good' part of the injections. It took two trips but she did it! Terrible experience...on th 5th visit of the laser hair removal, the technician changed the tool, I got burned on my arm that looked like cat scrathes, they said it was hyperpigmentation from sun exposure...how can it be? it was bleeding. they told me to wear long sleeves all the time, which I tried to do in 100 degrees weather. When I came for my last appt, Lisa McNear was mad at me for being 4 minutes late, while everytime I came, I waited at least 15 minutes. She was also so rude because I wore a tank top and made me sign that I'm responsible if I got sunburn. The wound was obviously not sunburn....but now they try to blame me...Very disappointed... read more

I just had my underarms waxed for the first time and I have to say, I am TERRIFIED of needles or any type of pain -- and guess what? No pain what so ever. Prior to my appointment, I was pacing their front desk area anticipating an unpleasant experience. Cassey was wonderful! I have had several services here. I have been very happy with the staff and services. I feel their prices to be resonable too. I did have a service that did not "work" and they refunded my money before i even asked (faulty product). My only negative is that all the services can be a foreign language to the normal consumer. In the rare even that i get time to go there i feel like i need a "menu" to describe the service and benefits...they probably have one but i would love to get it in my email so i can refer to it before making an appointment! thanks U med love ya! read more

I've seen Sarah and Alena, both were great. They won't perform services just for kicks, if you sign up for a service that they don't think will work for your skin, they'll tell you and then recommend something else - and it's not an up-sell. They have a membership that's a great deal if you get more than one spa treatment a month on a regular basis. read more

I tried this place after purchasing a groupon. Upon entering the spa, I wasn't really greating warmly, just barely acknowledged. When I told the lady behind the desk that I was there for laser removal, she promptly said "Oh we don't do laser removal on black people." Of course I was dumbfounded at her reply AND at the way she said "black people" like black people are the grossest thing known to man! Not only was she obnoxious, she was VERY loud to the point where other women in the waiting area turned and stared. I was humiliated AND offended. She then went on to explain that their laser won't be able to tell the difference between my skin and my hair. For the record, I'm the color of Halle Berry with dark hair. I have also had laser hair removal at other spas before. So, not only was the lady being rude, obnoxious and racist, she was lying. I will NEVER go back to this place for anything nor would I recommend it to my worst enemy. And I've seen other reviews where the same thing happened to other people of color.
