When I first came here, the spa was in the middle of a remodel and restaffing, which explained why my first impression felt a little rough around the edges. Now that those changes are complete, the difference is incredible, the staff is professional yet warm, and the whole experience feels much more polished. Each treatment session involves about 3 syringes, which translates into 30-45 tiny injections. While that sounds intense, the actual feeling is just light pinches, nothing unbearable. For me, the treated area stayed swollen for around 2 weeks, and I had some numbness that lingered for 6 weeks, but the team explained it clearly and reassured me throughout the process, which helped me stay confident in the treatment. The cost is definitely an investment. My first treatment was advertised around $900 but ended up totaling closer to $2600 with fees. The big improvement is that the spa honored the pricing moving forward and made sure I had a clear understanding of the costs. Given the level of care I've received from every single staff member, the follow through on their promises, and the noticeable improvement in service, I now feel the results are worth it! I'm a very pick person when it comes to beauty services. I was a little nervous when arriving so I arrived an hour early to settle myself and complete the required paper work. Plus I enjoy sitting in waiting areas to hear how the office staff chat and listen to random conversations to get a feel of the environment. I will be honest my impression was they are sales professional first and medical professionals second but after talking with both Kersten Darmo and Brooklin Miller I felt confident these two young ladies were knowledgeable and wanted to recommend the best service. I decide to think things over and follow up if I decide to move forward. There were some challenges when I first got there related to a mixup of the services I wanted however we figure them out and things went pretty smoothly afterwards and for $50 I got a one hour consultation. BUYER BEWARE: Injections MedSpa FAIL This is MY journey (everyone's is different) as a newbie to injections and a 250 lb, 52 year old woman. I asked questions, lots of questions. In the beginning I was constantly reassured I would love my results. My 6 month injection journey has finally come to an end. Bottomline the investment was not worth the SLIGHT changes, for me. BUT I APPRECIATE MY HUSBANDS SUPPORT AS I TRIED THIS NEW FAD. What did I have done: - [ ] Kybella to dissolve the fat in my double chin. KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile. 3 vials for $850 (Regularly $650 per vial.) WHAT I ENDED UP GETTING WAS BEYOND DISCOUNTED and more than DOUBLED IN PRICE. I paid for 3 vials and got a FREE one on my first and second sessions. I wasn't told at the time and didn't know why. So, I got two vials the first session, two the second session... and one vial on the third. But this time I had to purchase two extra for $150 each. Results are permanent. - [ ] FIBROBLAST PLASMA NECK LIFT $800. Final results are at 12 weeks. Results to last 4-5 years. In the photo I am at 6 weeks. Apparently there is another touch up available for my neck. But after posting this, I doubt it will be available. - [ ] Half Syringe Lip Filler, Revanesse Versa, to top lip for $350. Results 12-14 months. I TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH THAT! They have already deflated and I was told the more you buy the better the results. As my journey continued, and I asked more questions, I was told I was being critical as they were very generous with me. I explained questions are not criticism. At this time, I only knew how much I paid and it was A-LOT. I was contacted to take my photos down and to remove statements from my reviews. My anxiety was so high I was scared to go in for my final procedure, but they wouldn't refund my money. So I did the neck FIBROBLAST and said thank you and I won't go back. I found the entire process very convoluted and fluid and expectations were not managed from the beginning. I am a former hair stylist and owned my own business, I knew what I could deliver with each client. I never over promised. This did not happen in the MedSpa environment. Would I do anything again, MY LIPS but results didn't last., so maybe a different filler and a different MedSpa. BTW, I have the receipts for all conversations. I shared my comments with the owner before I posted. I understand she is hurt, I just want others to be aware. If your skinny and under 40, you're probably GOLDEN! **BEWARE** A MUST READ-BAD BUSINESS** I normally don't write reviews but the truth must be told, so no one else goes through this. Below are "facts" that transpired with this horrid experience: -I had a consultation with Isabel in the beginning of the year, for Fibroblast, & expressed my concerns on what I wanted help with: bags/lines around the eyes, a hole on my cheek & dark spots. She promised that Fibroblast would get rid of it ALL & everything. Price:$1,200 for face/eyes & $700 for neck. This included a touch up. I decided to come here because of that & Isabel was a nurse. -1st treatment in April was at her house (did not see a difference) & was instructed that I needed to come back in a month to get Dermaplane, $175 to get all the dead skin off. I did. -2nd touch up treatment was for 8-7-21 (in the shop) & on 10-4-21, informed Isabel that I just finished antibiotics . Asked her if it would be an issue & if I should still come. She stated: Yes! It should be OK!! Nothing to worry about! -It was horrible as it burned so badly (due to the antibiotics) that she could not finish, had to stop & had to reschedule. Came back on 9-3-21 to finish the touch up. Isabel then told me that they are no longer doing touch ups. I expressed my concerns on this being bad business as this was included in my price & was part of my decision to come here. Finally, she reluctantly did it. I was then instructed to come back in a couple of weeks for a HydraFacial w/dermaplaning for $250 to help with the dark patches & asked me if I wanted to leave a $50 deposit, to lock in the price! I have never had to put a down payment on a facial! -10-16-21 had the HydraFacial w/dermaplaning $250 & was informed I needed to pay another $50 to speak to the nurse on the iPad. She was working on another client at the time, with the door open, while telling me this. They said I needed to come back every 1-2 weeks for this same facial to help with the dark spots! I also expressed my concerns at that time that my dark patches on my face are now worse & the lines & hole are still the same. I was told they were getting a new serum that would help & to give it more time. -Next day, texted Isabel, told her that the dark patches got worse after the facial. She had me send a pic. She told me that the serum used would help it. -Waited 2 weeks, in that time, my dentist, a store, an esthetician & friends asked me what had happened to my cheeks, as my spots were darker! I was so upset, texted Isabel, told her what had happened & asked what she was going to do to fix this. After all I just spent $2,345.00 for my skin to look worse! Her response was we have no control on how melasma reacts. But in the beginning she assured me that Fibroblast gets rid of everything! She said to buy a brightening serum for $145 (more money!). I told her I would not pay another penny as she made my skin worse! She offered me some samples & asked what my dermatologist said! So now I am to spend more money on a serum & go to a dermatologist to fix what she made worse! This was the worst, most unprofessional customer service, as she did not even call me or have me come in to see what she could to rectify the issue. I called up 3 Med Spas, consulted with my professional estheticians and all have stated the following: 1. Any esthetician and/or nurse knows that you never do a procedure with heat if a client just had taken antibiotics. 2. An esthetician should never promise that a procedure will get rid of ALL of your issues. They should take their time and explain in detail all the possible outcomes. They should make a plan of what is going to be done. 3. If an esthetician makes your skin worse, they should have the professional courtesy to have the client come back in to see what they can do to rectify the issue. Not just pawn them off to a dermatologist and offer samples.4. A professional esthetician will not compare you to any other client as each client is different. They should focus on that client's issues and concerns. 5. All charges should be discussed in detail up front so the client knows how to plan and is not surprised when unknown charges are thrown at them. -I went to 2 estheticians, different spas, who know my skin & both said: my dark patches on my cheeks were worse & now I have broken capillaries on my cheeks, which I never did before! Isabel would have seen this if she had the courtesy to have me come in & see the damage. But all she did was text & basically blew me off, as she already got her money. I paid a lot of money for my skin to be worse. I have learned to do more homework before doing a procedure. If you keep expressing how unhappy you are, they don't have you come in, blow you off, and if they keep throwing more charges at you, RUN! She ruined my skin & now I have to go somewhere else to pay more money to get it fixed. I hope they learned a lesson here, as I sure did and so have many other people, who asked what happened to my cheeks and where did I go! read more
