I was looking and craving a matcha milk tea. There aren't too many places in Oceanside that have it, at least not that I know of or that make a good one. TZone took the place of another not so good boba place in that area, I can't remember the name of it but it was bad! I ordered the matcha latte with boba. Thank goodness there's now a place in Oceanside that makes GOOD matcha milk teas! In their case, matcha latte! The decor is very nicely done. The manager I believe was working that day (or maybe the owner, I'm not sure) was making drinks alongside the two ladies who were still learning. (Be patient with your orders, they do a great job, they just can't rush it because they're still learning the drinks). Anyway, he's very nice. I told him that my drink was very good, my husband told him that I'm picky with my boba drinks and if I liked it, then it must be good. The manager or owner seemed happy to hear. My hubby and I went to there grand opening on Saturday the line wasn't to bad. We ordered 4 drinks since it was 50 percent off. Everyone was friendly there, they knew they were busy making all the drinks. They only have one size drink still not bad. We came back again before we ate dinner the wait wasn't bad either. We got 4 more drinks. In one day we got 8 drinks two different times. This place is not that bad at all so I give it 4 stars. I came with my family to get a few boba drinks before heading out to our trip and didn't think to check the reviews out first, it's boba, how bad of a experience can one have? These two unprofessional girls were not welcoming at all. As I walk in, I see them without mask on right and they see me so they put it on. They immediately with attitude told me "you need a mask or leave". I had mindlessly forgotten mine in the car but was still shocked at their level of rudeness especially since they were not initially wearing their masks . I paused and asked for a mask since I didn't have one on me. They just kept repeating the same thing over and over. I was taken back by this behavior and didn't want them to spit in my drink, so I walked out and had my girlfriend to go in. She ordered 3 boba drinks, but when handed to her she realized we had no boba in them so she went back in and asked for them to add them in, they flat out told her "we ran out" ..... at 3:30pm... at a BOBA place where they only make...boba. I found it mind boggling that they wouldn't let her know when she placed the order. Overall the quality of the drinks and service here were pretty disappointing. Would not recommend or return. I came in today and it was quite busy. While I was waiting in line I was able to observe the tomfoolery occurring in the corner where there was a small table and chairs situated. A bunch of teens (maybe 6) were drinking their teas there without masks on for 15 minutes INDOORS. This was during a time where indoor operations are not allowed due to covid and everything must be take-out only. I know this business doesn't have much control over what customers do after they get their order but they should have taken those chairs away to help prevent ppl from congregating there. It did not feel safe having that many ppl in that tiny hot sweaty shop (there was around 15 people total). First time customer from Encinitas. The tea was pretty good, I ordered the tiger milk and the T zone house with boba. Not bad. However, the service was terrible. It's a nice shop, but when I walked in yesterday there were three employees all without masks and looking down at their phones. No introductions or anything at first. This is one of my favorite go to spots located in downtown Oceanside, it's also close enough to walk to the beach and the pier. The staff is always very friendly, provides excellence service and can help you with your decision bcuz there menu has a lot to offer. Most of the drinks I have tried been pretty good. My favorites are the yellow tango and secret garden with boba. The only thing preventing this spot from a 5 star is the store randomly closes up shop early. My wife and I frequently go down to the Oceanside Pier either to just meditate near the water or to get some exercise by walking the pier. This particular day I had gotten a Yelp alert about a new boba spot opening. So we decided to check it out. It's very new. Tzone has some really cool options on tap! I was excited to see the use of taps in a boba cafe. Very cool!! I ordered a PMS with boba and my wife got a funky monkey with boba. They were both delicious. Pretty good smoothies, milk tea has been pretty inconsistent flavor wise. Usually get the tiger milk tea sometimes it's super sweet, sometimes it's the right amount, and this time it had no flavor at all. I guess it just depends who makes your drink. read more

I wanted to give this new place a try since I love tea/boba and I work nearby. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with the service. I stood at the counter for a couple minutes before being acknowledged. When someone finally came to take my order, I asked about the "non-dairy creamer" that was present in the description of many items on the menu. I simply asked what type of non dairy creamer it was (almond, soy, coconut, oat, etc) but the employee was unable to answer. He continued to say "its non dairy creamer" and could not provide any more information beyond that. I think it is unacceptable for employees not to know what they are serving their costumers, especially because many people have food allergies or sensitivities. If this business wants to succeed, I recommend they are more transparent with their clientele or at least educate their employees. read more
