Ate at this Resturant last night and had a terrible time with a bad waitress. Waitress spent the whole time talking with another table. It took a long time to come out even though there weren't many people there. Had to interrupt the waitress who was chatting the entire time with another table to ask for a box and check. She got the check and started to walk away again to chat but we told her to wait we were paying her right away. (We needed to leave and were tired of waiting). She took out card and instead of taking it to ring up the meal she took the card with her to chat with the other table again. We waited 15 more min and had to go to her and tell her we wanted the credit card ran. At that point we were standing waiting. Next she ran the card and left to go back and chat while my husband signed the card. Didn't even stay with us until the bill was signed. We walked out of the Resturant after paying to leave and she had the nerve to follow us out into the parking lot yelling at my husband for giving her such a small tip. (In front of other patrons). It's $25, and being me (worked in the industry for 23 years) I toss a five on as a tip. So $30 bucks. I opened up my bag, and what I got was maybe a half cup of mashed potatoes, four asparagus spears, and a 5.8 ounce (yes. I have a digital scale at work and when I saw this tiny portion, I scraped the most excellent brown gravy off, and weighed it. 164.5 grams. 5.8 ounces). Folks: it's friggin' MEATLOAF. It's pretty good meatloaf, not amazing but solid enough (not going to make me forget the meatloaf I had at Capital Grille or anything --which also was $25) but 30 bucks for that? Surely with as many locations as TSP has, someone is doing the price pointing on this. And if you're charging that, for that, I'm thinking the calculator was broken that day. You want really good meatloaf nearby? Metro Diner in Newark. Twice the amount of meat, more potatoes, no asparagus but a mound of perfectly steamed green beans. For $13.49. Because ... it's friggin' meatloaf. Calling your pub restaurant a gastropub is one thing (for items like the foie Gras or truffle fries or the PBnJ burger) but this was some San Francisco prices for merely adequate food in the case of the meatloaf. read more

First time at this restaurant. Nice first impression just walking in. Preferred the high tops and front of the restaurant bc it got darker towards the back of the place. No windows in the back. Four of us stopped in for lunch as most people were finishing up their lunches. Pretty sure only one server for the lunch crowd. Our server was sweet enough but not the best service. First she was slow to take our drink order but figured service would be more attentive once the other tables paid their checks. Then we waited too long for our food. My friend even got up to find our server to see what was taking so long. By this point all the other tables of guests were long gone. She checked on us and offered refills at least. But when it came time for the check we had to flag the bus boy to find our server to bring the check. Glad not to be rushed and we were enjoying our conversation, still, timing was noticeably off. My chicken BLT sandwich was delicious. Good size and prepared nicely on a brioche roll. Everything looked fresh. Kettle chips were included unless you wanted an up charge for fries ($2.95 additional I believe). Sandwich was $14.95...felt fries should have been included in that price but ordered fries anyway. I didn't pay the bill and was curious if I read that correctly. Anyway, burgers looked good and nachos also looked good. I suppose it takes a while to prepare all the food so nicely as it was however...it still took way too long for an empty restaurant at this point. Food was brought out quickly once my friend inquired...maybe it was sitting out waiting to be served? We each ordered a glass of wine and that was a nice pour. Let me start out by saying 10/10 please come here!!! Okay so I visited Lincoln University for Juneteenth weekend and decided to stop here for late lunch when I arrived. The food was literally SO good I ended up coming THREE days in a row!! Obviously I got to try ALOT on the menu. The Brussels were to DIE for!! And the bread pudding omg I'm literally drooling as I type. Everything i ate was amazing!! I didn't get to try too many drinks but the margaritas and mimosas were great. I have Celiac disease. Even a small amount of gluten will cause my immune system to go nuts and start attacking healthy tissue in my digestive system. I ordered a cup of Chili from 2 Stones and nothing else. I thought at least the Chili could not possibly have cross contaminants. I was wrong. Now I'm sick. Just because something doesn't have a slab of bread on it doesn't mean it's gluten free. Read your spice packets you use to make the chili. Guarantee there is some form of wheat in it. You have to look at your ingredients! You're going to kill someone. read more

At the 10 minute mark we were just curious how long they would wait so we decided where we were going to go eat and ended up walking out and no one said a thing. My buddy had the Chicken BLT and chips and he cleared his plate. I had the meatloaf sandwich and fries. The fries were absolutely perfectly cooked but over salted. The meatloaf... I could taste the blended sausage but felt like there was a ton of breading in the meatloaf itself (yes I know meatloaf has bread in it). The bartender was friendly and offered suggestions regarding the beers. UPDATE: A day later... we both got sick. I honestly couldn't find anything wrong to lower to 4 stars. This was our first time there. We sat at the bar, service from both bartenders was friendly and expedient. For dinner my wife had the fish and chips. She loved it although she did have to add some S&P to the accompanying coleslaw ( not enough to move down to 4 stars). The fish was just cooked to perfection, the fries were hot and crisp, she especially liked the house made tart sauce. I had the pork cutlet special which consisted of panko breaded pork cutlet on a brioche bun with garlic aioli, pepperoncini relish and arugula. The pork was cooked perfectly remaining juicy and tender, the flavors of the relish and aioli was wonderful and didn't overwhelm the flavor of the pork. I had the hot fries as a side which consisted of crisp fries topped with hot sauce, bacon, cheese sauce and scallion, a great flavor. I had a few of their draft beers, although the draft menu seemed a little overdone with the amount of porter and stouts, although I'm a fan. Just had a crazy and disappointing experience, stopped at Two Stones in West Grove to have a drink before we headed home to Lincoln University 5 miles down the road. My husband had a few drinks today but me being the DD I only had 1 or 2. We sat at the bar and I asked for a sangria which they don't normally make but I said it was red wine and orange liquor and they made something but it was ok. I guess I made a comment that it wasn't a strong as I had at the previous restaurant and the bar tender said it was plenty strong. Did he taste it? Next thing you know the bar tender said we had too much and cashed us out. Wow, not even close. We have been a patron of Two Stones for many years and had much more to drink than tonight. I'm pretty speechless and I understand safety comes 1st but this was way off base. I hope you prosper but we will no longer be patrons. read more

How disappointing our favorite go-to restaurant was yesterday for Mother's Day brunch. First off I asked for a slight change to a special brunch item and I was told being Mother's Day it was too busy to request a change, so I settled for how the dish was published. About 15 minutes lather I walked back to the restroom and noticed that the restaurant was only about half filled, too busy?! When my entree did arrive, the avacado and shrimp toast it was more bread that anything else, with flavors that were just okay. I have had much better at the Philadelphia airport, that is a sad thing to say but it is true. Our daughter got the petite filet and eggs, petite was an understatement! The filet was about half of a petite filet and the bacon was limp and almost see through. My husband got the eggs Benedict which was cold and the bacon sausage had little to no flavor. I sincerely hope that this is not a trend and just a hiccup. read more
