    Mushroom soup
    Michael H.

Walked in and seated immediately and then when they brought me the menu I was very unhappy. The mushroom soup was gone and the tuna Tatar was missing. The server advised that the soup was an oversight but the tuna was off the new menu. Went with the Salmon which turned out great. The mushroom soup was the bomb as I remember. Awesome news is the pub now has a great beer list on tap. They had a Baby Bob stout which was awesome. Great food and service and now they have a stout so perfect. The pub has a great bar area and lots of seating in the rear. Since I am by myself usually I set at a high top in the bar area.

I had the peebee & jay burger with pork belly and arugula, buffalo wings, and fries, and a chocolate mouse cake. My waiter was very attentive. It's a pub so darker atmosphere.

A fun spot that is conveniently located in a fantastic shopping area! Food was tasty and served very quick to order! Service and hospitality was kind, considerate, and attentive. Ambiance of the restaurant is a fun mix where each section brings its own appeal. Would return!

    Mushroom soup. Amazing!!

Outstanding! We dropped by for an early lunch after doing some holiday shopping and this pub was a fantastic discovery. The wait staff were fantastic and friendly. The food was phenomenal. Might be the best mushroom soup I have had in u r Kennett Square Area. We also had the truffle fries and cheese pierogis and they were fantastic. The food hit all the right notes!

This definitely seems like a locals place but we had a great time. Big menu. My salad was unexpectedly phenomenal. Service was good! And the plate was really cute lol

After a concert at Longwood Gardens, this was one of the few places still open on the area. We took seats in the back on a Thursday night, and it offered the perfect amount of background noise and privacy. Service was attentive, drinks were really good, and many of the food options were too. I have a "Grow a Pear/Pair," which was perfect! Kettle chips were house made s and great. Trifle fries and soft pretzel were decent. Lobster bisque is NOT recommended. Burgers, filet, mashed potatoes were pretty good as well. Everyone was friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Backyard burger (cleaned plate, forgot to take a before pic...was too good)

Came here after visiting WCU for a tour. This place is great!! Backyard burger was fantastic, cooked to perfection, alongside some super crunchy kettle chips. I never finish full burgers, but I cleaned my plate. The service was great, and our waitress Olivia brought us waters without us having to ask after our paloma's were finished. Everyone was super friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for a Friday night!! Definitely a great place to go

Food was out of this world and presented "Chopped" style - so beautiful you don't even wanna eat it! Portions would easily feed 2.

Stopped by again impromptu dinner. Meatloaf a little too salty this time. Brussels appetizer was good. Sweet potato fries also pretty good.

Zappa, C.W.Stoneking, you don't hear this music anywhere around here. Started with an old fashioned which feature a "well bourbon" for happy hour. Don't recommend. Ordered two of the small plates and the highlight was the Thai shrimp. They were huge (12s?) and just fried crispy enough. The chicken wings got the job done. Came with 9, but my GLP drugs only tolerated 6. Overall I would try again, but with Bulleit Rye and just the shrimp. Or the fish and chips.

It's one of my favorite drinks, especially when I need a caffeine boost and at that time I definitely did!!) I wasn't planning on drinking alcohol, but it was so perfect that I ended up having 2 of them!! Lol For food, I ordered the smash burger and got fries instead of the salad. It was pretty yummy! My cousin's wife ordered the Baba Ganoush and it was delicious!! I was pretty impressed because we had no expectations!

We were seated at exactly 4:30, and our server was friendly and fast. RJ and I ordered Downeast Peach Mango Cider which was refreshing and delicious. We started with crab and artichoke dip and beef and weck eggrolls, and our table ordered 2 fish and chips, the "Luxury" seafood pie, shepherd's pie, and the beef on weck sandwich. My weck included onions, mushrooms, swiss, and bacon with a side of au jus and horseradish. Yum, what a salty, savory, spicy combo. The roast beef was very tender and juicy. The fish and chips were all enjoyed, as were both pies. We did not make it to dessert but will try that again another time. We were in and out in about 1 hour without being rushed at all. We will definitely return to the Whip!

*Indoor Dining Review*…read more We came here for brunch and wasn't expecting anything special, but we were all pleasantly surprised with the restaurant overall, food and service. Restaurant: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 ~Restaurant~ Just walking in the first impression is this place has a lot of history, the first floor looks like a typical bar/restaurant type setup, with a ton of wall arts. There's also an option to sit upstairs with semi-open air (Can be close using garage doors..yes garage doors), which we chose since it was a really nice day. Everything's clean apart from the sticky tables. ...Also the check they give you at the end is in a book (Shown in the picture). Love the idea. ~Service~ Our waitress is very friendly, attentive and helpful. No complains here. ~Food~ What we order: -Breakfast Burrito (Delicious) -Crab Skillet (Very Delicious, highly recommended) -Crab Toast Breakfast (Delicious) -Smokehouse Skillet (Delicious) Overall all of the food we ordered are cooked nicely and seasoned, and the portion is just perfect. I was a little worry with the price of crab dishes (being a bit low to me) that we would get either intimidation crab or not enough if it is real crab. The crabs are real and plentiful. I was just telling my girlfriend how good the food is, and that we should go back for brunch again soon. Since there are a lot of other stores we can walk around and visit afterwards. I look forward to going back again.

And in that time we were told by other staff that they'd be there shortly. Once seated, our server came by a few times in the 5 minutes we spent deciding on what to get haha and plenty while we were dining. I say this because it's not often you see such a packed restaurant feel like such an efficiently well oiled machine. We were there to see the band and some friends so we just got the pulled pork truffle fries, which, mind you, were some of the best fried we've had anywhere! What a pleasant surprise, as we were just grabbing a quick bite to share before having to head off. The ambiance was great, which I'd wager to be the case even without the music seeing the elegance of the decor and whatnot. The whole place was clean, not an issue in sight. Props to all the staff and management at the Chadds Ford Tavern!

Perhaps attributable to the holidays or perhaps the happy hour pricing. The half-price items, including Guiness on tap, made it especially affordable. Service was superb. Despite how busy they were, our server, Cathy, gave us excellent attention. Food orders came out quickly from the kitchen. Having sampled Fish & Chips the world over, I can say that this is among the very best. Large serving size (not necessaily a positive), but in this case fried fish done perfectly, no sogginess, but also not too dry. Fries were very good as well. Pasta primavera was excellent. Everyone else seemed completely happy with their orders. They have free valet parking.
