The ambiance is great, especially in the warm weather, outside. The food is ALWAYS delicious, thanks to Dillon. Sarah and Tania are on top of their game behind the bar. Always scanning the bar while waiting for a pint to fill. Sheryl, Sam, Heather B and Lauren not only remember you name, but frequently what you ordered last visit. The manager had reached out to me on OpenTable and offered to send me a gift certificate to encourage me to come back, so we did that last night and our experience was AMAZING and truly one of the best meals we've ever had even with some of the sides, not being our favorite. We happened to have an entire area of the restaurant to ourselves and our waiter was attentive, gave great recommendations and was friendly. Once again, we were blown away by the appetizers. The crab dip is probably one of the best things you can get here. The grilled Caesar had excellent flavor and the shrimp were a good size. They were offering a special Wagyu steak that evening, which I decided to get and my boyfriend had the 12 ounce New York strip. This was my first time having Wagyu and it was cooked perfectly, medium rare to my liking and just melted in my mouth. We also ordered sides of plump crab meat so that we could top our steak with it, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and shredded brussels sprouts with bruschetta. While the mac & cheese and shredded Brussels left more to be desired, it didn't lessen our dining experience in the least. The principle does not sit well with us. The service, unfortunately, was not what I expect. He did get tables all at once, which I understand, but we felt like our table of 'only' two was a burden. It was only when she saw our concerned faces that she explained that it was pepper or something from the appetizer she was holding, but that didn't really make sense for it to be on every plate. Overall I wouldn't come back, I just liked the fried lobster Mac and cheese appetizer, strawberry feta salad, and bourbon toffee cake dessert. The ambiance was also nice I'd say. It was peaceful, elegant, and spacious. It was an alright experience but just extremely overpriced for what we got in my opinion. If it was less expensive I'd maybe give it 3 stars but you can't have such high prices if you don't live up to the expectations that those prices set.
