Got takeout from Two Roads on our first night in town a few days ago. My grilled chicken sandwich was a very thin cut but good. My husband's pickle brined chicken sandwich was top notch. We also got fried pickles and Cajun cheese curd for apps, which were also pretty good. Fast and tasty. Went to Arthur's but wait was 1 hour. This is less than a mile away and we got seated right away and food came quick. I recommend this place if you don't care for a fancy place. Can't recommend this place enough. On two consecutive days our golf group (8) rolled in during the middle of the afternoon, and the staff accommodated our group size and provided excellent service on both days. The food was also excellent. My fried oysters and shrimp were perfect both days, the guys that ate burgers loved their meals, and a Buffalo shrimp appetizer on day 1 was exceptional. This is a hidden gem in the Outer Banks! My husband and I visited on a relatively quiet Saturday evening. Friendly staff greeted us with a warm hello and smile....Being from the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, we asked if they could put on the ODU game being televised that evening! So good! Our waitress was sweet and incredibly thoughtful. She made some helpful suggestions, and even let me try a sample of a dressing before buying an appetizer. Omg the best lunch I've had in a while! Big juicy burger topped with cheese, bacon, egg, jalepeno, bbq, onion rings on a brioche. So good. Also ate half of my husbands pickle juice marinated fried chicken sandwich. I don't know which was better! Homemade French fries too. read more

Found this restaurant on Yelp and based on the reviews decided to check it out. I was not disappointed. JP, our waiter, was professional, efficient, and did an amazing job taking care of our group of four. He was very busy, but took care of us and the other four tables in a timely fashion. The food was amazing. The Hangover, Bison, and Mac'n Jap burger were awesome. The pulled pork BBQ sandwich was also amazing. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Kitty Hawk area. We stay in Duck but were down in Kitty Hawk picking a few things up at Wallyworld and got hungry. Two Roads was another 5 minutes further but was so worth the detour. I had the shrimp po boy, my wife had the caprese burger. Both were absolutely delicious. We also shared the fried pickled green beans and onion rings - highly recommend both. Came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Try the Chipotle Shrimp Dip and Cajun Cheese Curds! Excellent appetizers. If you're in the mood for a burger, this is the place to be. The three of us had 2 Mac n Jap burgers (macaroni+cheese and jalapeños), and a bison burger. Full of flavor (try the two roads sauce on the side). The fries were fresh cut and delicious. Out of the many places that we have eaten at in the Outer Banks area, this is a hidden little treasure. The food is outstanding, you could literally be happy just eating appetizers but their burgers and sandwich selections are just as amazing. The shrimp Chipotle dip was to die for, the fried pickles were perfectly crispy. The oysters outer Banks gives you a perfect chance to try all three of their great cooked oysters selections, everybody at the table had a different favorite. Very reasonably priced, great atmosphere, and a wonderful server who is actually considerate enough to point out the length of time it might take for something to cook and asked if we wanted other stuff brought out while we waited for it as a oysters do take a little bit longer to cook. By the looks of this place from the outside you wouldn't think it's a 5, but totally check this place out! We arrived to a fairly slow restaurant (right around 5:30-5:45). I was a bit skeptical that they weren't as busy but we didn't regret staying. Host and server were both very friendly and accommodating (my wife and kids were chilly due to the speed of the fans and they quickly reacted and turned them off). Food was AWESOME! We had the sampler platter of the oysters and they were EXCELLENT!! Entrees were great too! I had the shrimp, kids had chicken and burgers and my son had teriyaki wings. No complaints from anyone! The fries here are not your typical pre-cut fries, these are real fresh cut potatoes. Layer them with cheese, gravy, bacon, scallions and you have the best fries next to poutine fries.
