A decent airport bar near Gate 1 at Bradley International airport. It's not a full service restaurant, you have to go up to the bar to order. I stopped in for a quick bite before hoping on my plane and I am so glad I did! The menu I saw in other Yelp pics were not current, but I found a sandwich that intrigued me and I altered to straight perfection. I got the chipotle roast beef and added bacon and cheddar, boy was it delicious. The woman working was super friendly and knowledgeable. Great drinks, great prices, and the perfect place to grab a drink between layovers. It helps that this is one of the first places you hit as you exit the planes lol. My server was excellent, and very attentive. The people that frequent this place are very nice, and during my unexpected layover, I met two groups of people who stop here frequently. Atmosphere: What can I say, it's the airport. Diversity matches the area and who comes here. They have sports on the televisions but no sound. Small dining area, bar with beer and wine. You can get mostly fruity beers, IPA's and stouts. Food: Great food! I got the BLTA and my wife got a grilled cheese with tomato bisque. My sandwich was great, excellent pepper bacon and very flavorful bread. The grilled cheese had multiple cheeses and awesome soup for dipping. Service: Good service, nothing to note. Bradley game changer! How jazzed was I to see this new tap room at BDL with just enough time to kill? This spot is a great showcase of CT beer. I was very impressed with the number of local breweries represented, including one of my favorites, Fat Orange Cat. If you are from the area and care about beer, you'll notice nothing brand new here, but it's still a nice selection. Draft pours are only for 2 Roads itself, but that ain't bad, either. You can get 2 Roads flights for $15. Overall, the beer and drink menu are still the expected airport prices. I might actually get to the airport earlier now! read more

We grabbed a quick bite to eat prior to boarding. Split the grilled cheese (delicious) and chose chips instead of soup. The grilled cheese has an extra slice of bread in the middle which I'll ask to be removed in the future. Half a sandwich was just a lot of bread. The cheeses melted with it were really tasty. Local chips are rippled and come in a variety of flavors. Salt and pepper were very good and peppery. Spicy. Wine was about $10 a glass which isn't bad for an airport. Decent pour too. I will be back when my travels take me through Hartford. Recommend. read more

This bar is almost always popping - situated in the Delta/Air Canada concourse of Bradley Airport. However, that is not because they have amazing food (it is fine but far from impressive), or great prices (drafts run city/airport normal prices $9+) but simply because it is the best option available for a decent drink before a flight. Having been here a few times, I will give it to the taproom that they do keep a fantastic selection of beer in stock - both cans and drafts. Rarely have I seen such a good selection at any airport. Not everything is from Two Roads but typically the drafts all are averaging 8-10 different beers available with another dozen+ canned from both Two Roads and other brewers and ciderteers (what is the name of someone who makes cider?) One of my recurring issues with this spot is the utter lack of space inside. Especially at the bar and standing counters there is no good place to tuck luggage. The trade off for them is more seats but for the patrons it can make for a mess of bags and legs and chairs and tables. Overall, this is a fine spot for flight before your flight (yes I went there). Nothing spectacular but check it out! read more

I am glad that Bradley has allowed a taste of local flavor in this spot instead of a generic chain or one-off bar occupy this space. Two Roads has the best tasting beer in the state in my opinion, and it of course shows with the selection at this Tap Room. Every time I fly out of BDL and stop by, the servers have all been incredibly kind and attentive. Most of the food is of good or even great quality, notably the breakfast foods that are decently priced overall let alone airport prices. I will say that the one time I ordered a Cuban sandwich it was not quite what I was expecting. Instead of the thin meats and cheese pressed panini style, I got a whopping pile of meat with a thin albeit delicious mustard. I can't complain too much about a mountain full of meat, but the "quantity over quality" surprise kept me from almost giving TR-X2 a perfect score. If you want to talk about how nit-picky that is, I would be happy to discuss it over a pint at this fine establishment next time you're flying through Hartford. read more

I was so happy to see this place at BDL which isn't known for having a place to grab a good lunch or dinner, other than one spot and a bunch of fast food. If you're from the area of Stratford you may be familiar with Two Roads. If you're traveling thru BDL or on your way out of CT absolutely give it a try waiting on your flight. I'm a fan of Two Roads and try to get there when I'm back in CT - no pressure next time because I'll just get to the airport early before I return home. If you're flying Jet Blue or Southwest you'll walk by it. If you have some time and are in the other terminal BDL is small enough that you can take a quick walk through the mini-food court and head to Two Roads. Yes, you're there to enjoy one of their concoctions but they alway have pretty good sandwiches too. read more

I stopped by here earlier today looking for lunch. My wife and I had come here the month previous and I was excited to try the food as we had both thought that it looked pretty good. Whenever I arrived at Two roads the bar was pretty full and any attempt to sit at it would have caused a lot of crowding. So I ended up taking a seat at a table instead and waited for a bartender/server to come out. At that point the bartender was filling some growlers and it took her awhile to get back over to the main area of the restaurant. In the meantime another single person and a group of 3 sat at other empty tables with the single person sitting at the table directly behind me. The bartender proceeded to get menus and give them to the last group first and then the single lady whose table was directly behind mine. I got nothing even though there was no way she didn't see me as I was directly in her line of sight. She then proceeded back to the bar where I continued to try to make eye contact. After trying this for a minute where she clearly had an opportunity to see me I decided to leave. At this point I had been sitting there for about 10 minutes without so much as getting a menu and I was hungry and had a flight to catch. The bottom line for me is that I will probably give two roads another chance at some point in the future. However it may take awhile to get there as I felt purposefully ignored today. read more

Considering this place is in an airport it might actually be worth five stars. So far, this is the best airport bar I have ever been in. But in my opinion, airport restaurants and bars should be the same as outside and I have only visited here once so I will stick with four stars. Let's just start with beer since this is a tap room for a local to Connecticut brewery. The beer was awesome! On tap they only have their own beers but they carry guest beers in bottles and cans. I started with a Two Roads Two Juicy which is a New England style double IPA and it was fantastic. Juicy, citrusy, hazy, with a little bit of a dry finish. Next, I tried a Stubborn Beauty Happy Treez IPA and was also quite pleased. This was a dark orange hazy IPA with a nice malt balance and some mild bitterness and juiciness. I wasn't super hungry but wanted a little something to eat. A bowl of New England Clam Chowder sounded like the perfect thing and it was. It was creamy and chunky and delicious. A well made clam chowder that satisfied and was a perfect lunch or snack. The bartenders were all friendly and attentive as I sat at the bar. They made sure I was taken care of throughout my time there. If I am ever at BDL airport again I will definitely stop at Two Roads Tap Room. I wish every airport had a bar this good. read more

I've been wanting to check this out since I saw the "Coming Soon" signs. I was actually at the gate across from Two Roads when it officially opened earlier this year but was about to board my plane so I couldn't be their first customer, sadly. Last week I finally had time pre-flight to check it out. I ordered the BLT at the advice of the departing customer whose seat I took and got the Plum Gose to go with it. For $9.99 I got a gourmet Grilled Cheese they called "Not Your Mom's Grilled Cheese" that had 3 pieces of bread (Like a club sandwich). Lots of cheese and a great Sourdough bread. There are also a few tv's so you can catch the game. Can't say much for the food or service as there was one server working for the whole place and absolutely no food available at 11ish AM. So, when I first saw that Two Roads was opening a tap room at the airport, I thought it would be better to offer more than one Connecticut brewery's beer. Don't get me wrong-I LOVE Two Roads. But, wouldn't it be nice for travelers to experience some of the other terrific beers we have to offer? Well, there are 10 Two Roads beers on tap as well as over 20 other beers in cans/bottles to choose from-happy day! Unfortunately, I had an early flight and Connecticut law does not permit alcohol to be served before 9 am-bummer! I really didn't need a beer at 7:30am, but I would have liked to be able to make that choice. Anyway, I settled for a glass of water with my breakfast sandwich, which, by the way, was delicious. Ham, egg and cheese on an English muffin. $5.49. Not bad for an airport restaurant. They also offer sandwiches and hot dogs. And soups and snacks. Perfect! The breakfast sandwiches are reasonably priced and an OK size. They are much tastier than Dunkin Donuts which has been my typical go to in the mornings at BDL. This waitress was alone out front. Although pressured to wait on the growing crowd, she kept her cool. She continued to smile, move like a tornado and not get the least bit flustered. Great new addition to Bradley International Airport. Very fast and friendly staff. Many of the Two Roads craft drafts on tap. Very nice ambiance. Not a foodie stop. Just a quick test drive. I just had the worst ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich- what's worse it was $5.00. It looked and tasted like it was over cooked in the microwave. When I ordered, I asked the woman taking my order if I could sit in the restaurant to eat and her reply was something along the lines of " ummmm I mean I guess so" to which I replied, "ok that's fine, I'll sit at my gate then" and she goes "ok". This review is strictly for the growler filling station. As I was walking down the terminal hallway, I noticed the Two Roads Tap Room, and while I wish I had time to grab a beer before my flight - I saw a sign that mentioned growler fills. I of course swung right up to the counter and asked if I was reading the sign correctly - and thank goodness - I was! I should clarify that the Tap Room is PAST security, and actually in the terminal by the gates. The growlers are 32 ounces, and are plastic. There were three options of beers to choose from (though there are a bunch more on tap to drink if you choose to stop and have a beer there). I asked if I was allowed to drink it on the plane, and was told that I was allowed to unless I was asked by the flight crew to put it away! I chose the Road to Ruin for my growler, and was even given a paper cup to use while I was on my flight. This is a really great new concept, and am already looking forward to my next flight through Bradley! read more
