When flying out of BDL recently I stopped in this Escape Lounge, which is like a "Centurion Lite" lounge. All the folks working here, especially the lovely young girl with the piercings at the bar were great! They were all so friendly and helpful, especially her. The lounge itself it actually a decent size, but was packed for the 3 hours I was in there. Thewy have lots of decent looking food on the buffet to try, but I didn't have any (wasn't hungry)... I also really needed to get work done and so I worked the entire time. I liked that there was plenty of seating that had outlets accessible to them so I could plug in. Overall, definitely one of the better Escape Lounges I've been to. I'll be back!

This was a much needed upgrade! They have one of those fancy machines that makes different kinds of coffee drinks and also dispenses hot water and milk. They also have a regular coffee machine with several types of milk- including almond milk. Food options for breakfast included scrambled eggs, pork sausage, scrambled eggs with cheese and vegetarian sausage, country potatoes, fruit and pastries. The staff here seem pretty friendly and used dishes were picked up quickly. It was very quiet when I arrived at 7:30am but it got quite crowded in here around 9am. They have two single gender neutral bathrooms which were very clean. I'm thrilled to have this new lounge at Bradley!!

"Her heart is nearly breaking, the earth is nearly quaking…read moreThe Tokyo's taxi's braking, it's screaming to a halt Discovering Japan" (Graham Parker and the Rumor) Cruising down Route 75 by Bradley Airport, you can't miss it--a bold brick landmark shouting in oversized red, blue, and green letters: LOUNGE... IZUMI JAPANESE CUISINE... SUSHI BAR. It practically demands your attention. Four of us had lunch here yesterday, and we had an excellent experience. The service and food were top notch. Our friends had driven from the Albany area on business, so we didn't want to compromise their ride back with alcohol and we all had a nice cup of green tea ($2) for starters. Izumi's menu may take you a while to get through, because it is quite comprehensive, with soups, salads, hot and cold appetizers. Sushi rolls and sushi entrees, Special sushi rolls, Teriyaki/Katsu/Tempura/Shogayaki and Chef Specials, Hibachi plates, Noodle dishes and soups, and plenty of Bento Box or sushi lunch specials. My wife and I both ordered from their Lunch Specials menu. She had a Tempura Shrimp and Vegetable Bento Box ($14.50). It included a soup (or salad), 4 slices of California roll, two Shumai dumplings, three small vegetables, a big scoop of rice, and the tempuras - two shrimps, an onion ring, a broccoli floret and a sweet potato wedge. My order was a decent sized bowl of vegetable tofu soup ($4.50) and a Two Roll Maki Sushi Special (Salmon and Tuna Avocado) for $12.50. The rolls were appropriately "lunch sized" and were very good. We were treated very well and all of us enjoyed our food. I'd like to go back and dig a little deeper into their menu next time.

Johnson and Suki both waited on me and they were quick and very antintative. I went here two nights in a row as I was staying in one of the hotels near by. I will definitely be back to this place on my next trip.

The 35 guests at our backyard celebration loved tasting all the custom cocktails, which were not only delicious, but beautifully presented in elegant (plastic) stemware garnished with fresh fruits and herbs. It was so fun to add a new element to our regular family gathering, especially after all this Covid-required time apart. Can't wait to have another excuse to bring Queenie's Cocktail Bar back!

They showed up in a fantastic vehicle--stylish, clean and ideal for our driveway. The people who worked the bar, including one of the owners, handled our crowd with tremendous professionalism. They offered terrific drinks--especially loved the Cuke and Vodka--at a reasonable price per guest. We couldn't have been happier. We looked at a lot of traveling bars online but we started looking late and many were booked for the popular summer Saturday weekend date, so we kept pushing and found Queenies, which, I believe, has only been up for the year. GREAT FIND! Definitely check them out.

The food (taste and value) and service was solid. It's an interesting name (like others, knew a 'Jimmy Chen' while growing up...Chen being a very popular surname in China and in the Chinese community in the U.S.). They have a good website, so was able to scout the menu before arriving and knew that we had missed their lunch specials. It wasn't too busy inside, and there was plenty of parking in the small strip mall (Sophia's Plaza). We were greeted immediately, led to a booth, and offered a free appetizer of deep fried wonton skins with sweet/sour sauce (appreciated since not a common practice on the West Coast). Chen's is marketed as Asian Cuisine which in this part of the country means Chinese (Chinese-American classics) and Japanese (sushi and bento) with a little bit of Thai (Pad Thai and Pineapple fried rice). We were too late to take advantage of the lunch menu special ($9.25 or $10.25 during 11:00 - 3:00), but Jimmy's offers the same as combo specials (anytime but priced higher at $13.25). Our server stated that the lunch option does have (slightly) smaller portions, and doesn't include the egg roll. We ordered two plates, shared between the two of us: C4 Beef Broccoli and C19 Garlic Shrimp, each coming with a big, fat egg roll well deep fried and a rich (greasy with chinese bbq pork) fried rice. The garlic sauce was really good, not too garlicky (noticing how a 'garlic' Chinese dish has quite a bit less garlic than a 'garlic' Italian dish). I loved that they used 5 really jumbo shrimps, each big enough to be split into 4 bites. The vegetables (broccoli, peppers, water chestnuts, and celery) were sliced thin and cooked well (though didn't have the distinctive wok-fried smokiness that i love). The beef dish wasn't as good...decent sauce and plenty of broccoli, but the sliced beef wasn't good...very mushy, almost parboiled, similar to the versions at buffets or a Panda Express. There is a full service bar inside, along with a sushi bar manned by a chef. For us, service was very good, with our waters being constantly refilled. Payment was done via clover (though done away from the table). It was a good last meal during our trip.
