Had a wonderful day in Easton on Saturday. It all started with some lunch at Two RiversBrewing. What a quaint place. We had a flight and asked for suggestions on food. We took her advice and had a specialty salad with Brussels sprouts, bourbon infused raisin Granny Smith apples and bacon. Flavortown! It was amazing . As for the Peanut butter and jelly burger. Who would ever put those combinations together but wow....delicious and they know how to cook a burger perfectly. Very happy and will be returning. I was kind of surprised by this place. Not what I expected but cooler in some ways. The items on the menu had a unique twist to each dish. Whether it be different ingredients or different preparations, each dish has something out of the ordinary and they're good. I don't think most people notice but the back of the bar is a pretty incredible piece of mid century modern design, I can't recall ever seeing such a bar anywhere else. I can never remember the name of the peanut butter burger they serve here, but it is awesome. It sounds like it should be horrible, but it is amazing. You're far from home. You're in the middle of a blizzard. You've only had some not-that-hot-chocolate and a chocolate cookie (from the Polar Express train ride across the river in NJ). The family is getting cranky and needing food. You tap on your Yelp app to find 'nearby' and see 5 stars and it's less than a mile away and you trudge through the snow and happy that one of the few establishments still open is the restaurant you're trying to find. Thank you Yelp. This is why you rule. You guided me and the family to this fine restaurant and although it's a long hike from my home - I'm already thinking about going back. Peanut butter bacon cheese burger you say?! (Years ago after watching Top Chef I attempted peanut butter mashed potatoes but let's not relive that nightmare.) It was killer. My better half isn't even a fan of steak but was tempted by their steak special and the 2+ hour ride back home she couldn't stop reliving how good it was and wondering why other places just can't make a steak like them. Crazy delicious French fries with all sorts of seasonings. And really good "kids menu" items as well. A really amazing bread (that crust could make a Mormon untuck their white button-down shirt) and spread. And top-notch beers that were tempting me to drink a few more and hand my car keys over to my kids (their combined age would only be 10 but I think that's the legal driving age in PA, right?). This place was phenomenal. Staff gave recommendations, the food was incredibly inventive and the flavors were incredible. Great beer selection with multiple smooth IPAs. We had the pig & fig flatbread which was the favorite (to DIE for), pot stickers as recommended by our server with a great slaw and the smoked guacamole grilled cheese. All were fantastic. If the food was good we would have given 5 stars. The beer was great, but the food was barely edible. My boyfriend never complains so I was shocked when he said he didn't like the food. We looked at the menu before deciding to have lunch here and it sounded very promising. We love when places offer homemade hush puppies. We ended up each having two pints of beer, hush puppies, the ale braised short rib sandwich, the vegan black bean and chickpea burger and we chose regular fries with both entrees. Our server Nichole was very nice and attentive. The hush puppies looked awesome when the arrived. Then we each bit into one and began to chew and chew and chew. They tasted like nothing and the gummy texture was so off-putting. There has never a time when we don't finish hush puppies.... except for this time. My boyfriend's short rib sandwich arrived with a hair on it. I told him he needed to say something, but he didn't want to because at this point he was just so disappointed. He said he's never had such tasteless food before. And I agree. The building is super interesting and they had a nice lunch crowd for a Friday afternoon. Our total came to $70.65 before tip. There was an older man walking around, but he never acknowledged us. He really only kept going to one table with two guys sitting at it. Over and over again, which was right next to us. This was a great find. With the pandemic, make sure to call for reservations. There is some inside eating, a ten that seats a good number of tables and then individual tables on the sidewalk. The food was great pub fare. I had a burger while my wife had the salad and pizza. The burger was cooked perfectly and the hand cut fries were tasty. My wife's salad was big and the pizza was also very good and she found herself with leftovers for lunch the next day. They've been brewing for a number of years and you can tell. I had the standard IPA which was nice and crisp with that hoppy finish. The NE style IPA also hit the mark. read more

It pains me to leave this review because I've supported this business for years. Yesterday I showed up with my girlfriend for lunch around 2:30. I was not aware reservations are required; despite my ignorance, a very professional, polite waiter greeted us and advised someone will be assisting us. Another gentleman meets us at the door and his tone, demeanor, and attitude was not only unacceptable, but flat out embarrassing. I asked for a table for 2, he advised me only outside dining is available--ok I get that. Then I ask well how long do you expect a table to be ready for indoor dining?(that is a standard question). He scoffs at my question and replied, "well we are booked until 7" with a condescending attitude, unprofessional tone, AND WALKED AWAY FROM US. The waiter standing beside him--HE IS AN ABSOLUTE GENTLEMAN. This man apologized for the inconvenience, thanked us for coming in, and stated he hopes to see us again. I looked at my girlfriend as we were leaving and she agreed with my assessment of the rude man, and agreed the second man exhibited excellent customer service despite us not getting a table. Hands down the crappiest service we've had in a long time. We visit lots of places all over the valley- My husband and I tried this place last year and service was crappy then, but figured maybe they were having a bad day, and wanted to give it a try again while we were in the area with our teens. We waited over an hour for food to get to our table. My burger wasn't even fully cooked by the time I got it - but we weren't waiting another hr so I just sucked it up. The staff are all around pretty miserable, one punched a wall as we were walking in the door so maybe that should've been an indicator to walk straight back out. Waitress shamed me last time we were in for wanting sauce on a burger on the side instead of on top because I should "just have it as is" . This time waitress shamed our teens for wanting a grilled cheese and not something off of their more exotic menu. We didn't care if they charged for a higher price than a kids menu either and made that clear. Vibe just sucked- we won't be back. Let me start by saying the food and the service were good. We ordered the cheddar bacon burgers and they were juicy and tasty and the fries were good. No problem with the food. What was the problem? Well, when we walked in we noticed a faint, funky odor but we ignored it. The place wasn't busy but they seated us at a small two top table by the window. We appreciated the window light as the place is rather dark and dingy and didn't look the cleanest. As we were sitting there we noticed a swarm of rather large flies. We tried killing a couple as they were quite intrusive, but more kept coming. When we noticed the small roaches walking up the window we moved our seats away from the window. There were several of them, and as you can imagine it didn't make for an appetizing dining experience. At this point I wanted the check, and a path to the nearest exit. Interestingly, the bathrooms were very clean, so I can't imagine what went wrong in the dining room.
