The pizza is good as I had the cheese pizza. However, I had the black garlic knot special and they did not hit the mark. I did not like the black sauce that was put on top of the garlic knots. Nonetheless, the somewhat unique drinks on tap made this place shine for me. The drinks were good and the pizza was good. I would recommend this place if you want pizza and some beer (you might be lucky and have lice music playing).

Great pizza! I got the pizza special, which came with garlic confit, fontina cheese, potatoes, pea shoots, artichoke, bacon (which I omitted), black garlic, and microgreens and split the black garlic knots with a friend. The dough was thin and tasted pretty good, although a few parts of my pizza were a bit too charred. It was a very filling pizza and tasted great but got a little salty over time, probably because of the cheese. The garlic knots were nice and doughy, which two types of garlic sauces on top. I do wish they came with some sort of dipping sauce/marinara sauce. You get 5 for $5. Plenty of seating. They give boxes for leftover pizza. They give cups for water if you ask but don't have a tap (they recommended filling water up at a water fountain nearby).

Really good, thin crust, wood fired pizza. I had tomato pie. Theirs is a homemade tomato sauce with fresh herbs and thinly sliced garlic. The high heat of the oven roasts the garlic leaving only the best flavor from it. The sauce has that fresh tomato flavor. The crust had awesome char from the oven, but still had a good chew. The margherita had fresh baby mozz, fresh basil with that same fresh tomato sauce. 2 pizzas. 2 bottles of water. $25. A bargain. I'll be back.

Cook had a cigarette behind his ear and was on his phone Didn't see him wash his hands once. GROSS

The pizza cook was on phone while cooking pizzas. Cigarette behind ear. Didn't see him wash his hands once.pretty gross. Very sloppy to look at when entering the market. The girl taking orders was down right rude to us. No customer service skills whatsoever . Grabbing fresh breads to go with bare hands .. touching money. And repeating. Not very sanitary. The beer was good. Service needs to be trained with serve safe

Good beer, brick oven pizza, imaginative menu variety and flavor combinations, beautiful countertops. I don't know what more you need to hear. This might be the best place in easton to have lunch or dinner after visiting the easton farmers market on Saturday.

Actually just finished lunch. We sat at the bar and were explained the many offerings by a nice girl. She seemed to know all about what was offered, and the local ingredients. It's nice to know where everything comes from. That being said, there was most likely the DIMMEST girl working with her...so bad that when another patron asked for red pepper flakes, the patron had to tell her what those were. Then, this poor girl proceeded to make the patron wait while she asked permission to have the patron USE the red pepper flakes...um...This girl legitimately wandered around the kitchen holding a pizza cutter and looking lost..which is a dangerous combination. That being said. The pizza was delicious! Having been to multiple fresh pizza restaurants in the area, we had high hopes, and were so impressed. The ingredients are all fresh, and the sauce was awesome. Best crust I've had in a while. I have to take away a star for the water. I don't drink, so I asked for water and was given a 3/4 filled pint glass with lukewarm water from the tap. And something was up because I took a few sips and had to stop. The chlorine taste of the water started to worry me and take away from the pizza. This place has some serious potential to be a staple in this area...there's just a few refinements that could be made, and possibly some additional training for one lost puppy...

White pizza with blue cheese, chorizo, and sunny side up eggs. Just a slice of happiness in every bite.

All baking is done on the premises and most importantly it's woman owned! The service was spectacular. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and we chatted about everything under the sun. She was very personable and polite. Her bakery items was tasty and moist. Just the way I like it. She also allowed me to try her new ricotta cookie, which was a wildcard for me. Went to my surprise. I enjoyed it. I also appreciate it. The Biscoff biscuit cookie. The crunch was amazing. She ships nationwide so I will be sending my family out out of town a few boxes in the near future overall, I give my experience a 10/10 and I will absolutely make this might go to bakery.

I called in advance to make sure they reserved 2 for me to take back to Brooklyn. Great find although I wanted to say hello to the owner Eileen, who was very gracious on my last visit. I was sad she had already left for the day. We came later in the evening so I understand. The best ingredients and everything is made with love. We also brought back the lemon lavender blueberry scones and the Fruit Filled Coffee Cake. They do custom orders and everything we have tried has been awesome. If I lived out here I'd probably come by no less than once a week. I highly recommend them, and if you a fan of chocolate and peanut butter you MUST try the decadent chocolate brownies!

I knew they weren't open on Monday & Tuesday so I didn't expect a response. On Wednesday 4/20/22 I received the response. We exchanged a couple of emails. Discussed flavors, that the order is for my sons 16th birthday so it doesn't have to be really fancy, more masculine of that was even possible and "Happy 16th Birthday" and my sons name. I was told I needed to come in and pay a 50 % deposit. I explained that I work until 4, they close at 4 that I would be in Friday 4/22/22 to pay the deposit. Great, no problem the paperwork would be started. I go in I tell the lady behind the counter that I'm here to pay a deposit. We go over everything, again. I paid $83.00 for the deposit. I also bought a pocket cake. She said what time would you like to pick up the cake? I said you close at 4 on Saturdays so how does 3 pm sound? I said thats perfect. And out the door I went. So super excited, one that I found my child's favorite flavor in cake, and two to try the pocket cake. i went in yesterday 4/30/2022 at 2:50 pm. I said I'm here to pick up an order. Gave my last name. I was asked what it was and I said 50 cupcakes and a 9 in cake. The guy behind the counter looked in the fridge by where I was standing, walked in the back, looked in all of the doors and binder for my paperwork and nothing. He said I don't have your paperwork , so I don't have your order. Did I pay a deposit? Who did I order it with? I told him I traded emails, came in on this date paid $83.00, confirmed every thing with her. I pointed to the worker. He said since I can't find your paperwork, I don't know that you had an order. I asked if they'd like me to pull up the charge on my bank app and the emails? By this time panic set in because I knew in 2 hours I had 16th birthday with over 40 friends & family. I was offered to have them make a 9 in cake but I would have to come back. I said but I'm in this area now, I strategically mapped out my stops so this would be last and I could get back up North and get ready for the party. There was zero remorse. Not one ounce. As a matter of fact, I was the that was made to feel like I did something wrong, & incorrect. They got to close their bakery and go home at 4:00 pm while I was left scrambling to pick up the pieces. I asked for my money to be refunded and I walked out the door. Could you imagine if this was someone's Wedding?! if you're going to be in this business this is a mistake on your part that just CANNOT happen and the poor customer service to boot! It just cannot happen!

Good start terrible ending on the day of my daughter's Quinceañera. I don't like leaving negative…read morereviews, but I tried by very best at speaking to Julie and she did not return any of my calls. I just got an unacceptable email apology stating in short that she gave me what was on the contract and she was sorry I was not pleased. She certainly avoided my calls, till this day two months later not one call in return. If anyone knows how much goes into planning a Quinceañera they would understand my disappointment and extreme frustration. The cake IS a big deal! And a main highlight of the party. The problems: 1. Sad cupcakes. The cupcakes were a shock! They were small! !and looked like plain home baked cupcakes with a regular plain white liner. Now, I ordered a white cupcake as the cake was blue, but I expected a simple yet elegant white cupcake with white frosting. I had seen their work, talked to Julie, been to their bakery, what in the world happened here?! A nice elegant white paper would have made them pop and look great. Cupcakes looked ordinary and sad contrasted with an elegant and sparkling setting and backdrop of the decorated hall. I told Julie that was unacceptable. She added some silver candy balls to it and that was it. The remaining cupcakes on the dessert table did not have all the decoration the cake table had so they looked extra plain and not fitting for the type of event this was. 2. We did not have enough cupcakes. Thankfully someone got one for my daughter and me because they were gone in no time. Many guests did not get cake. I checked quantities with Julie and she assured me that was plenty. 3. Not the display I asked for. I did not request a stand alone cake on a table (I ordered a small cake), I asked for a cake on top and cupcakes around using a cupcake tower. The cupcake tower I provided was not used, reason being the cake was lopsided because Julie admitted she did not fully test the cupcake tower when she received it months prior to the event. Thankfully my event decorator came and got me to show me the cake table did not look right, otherwise we would have walked into a small cake on a table. 4. Lopsided cake. I was very displeased as this all happening 30 minutes prior to the event starting. I told Julie that did not look right and it needed to be fixed. She did end up using the cupcake tower, but the cake was lopsided. We had to be careful cutting it so it wouldn't topple over. Our event decorator came to the rescue and spiced things up on the table because the cake display was very plain. 5. Wrong color. The cake color was turquoise not "Cinderella blue", I showed Julie a picture of the actual dress when we met in person because I know there are different shades f blue. 6. The design we asked for was not what we got. Our inspiration cake picture shows raised waves not dented waves. It was poorly designed. Julie was great to work with and very courteous, sweet, and professional when we met at the shop and leading up to the vent as we communicated via phone and mainly email since I was out of state. The day of the event came and I was so disappointed with end result, but more so with the lack of customer service and the staff flat out ignoring my call and emails. I called at different times of the day and on different days in hopes someone would answer. It was very obvious what was happening. We are a military family and we had to relocate cross country one week after the event. It was a very busy time and I asked Julie in my messages to please call me back because I wanted to sort things out before I moved. Nothing... On a positive note, I can say their cakes are delicious, that's one of the reasons I picked this bakery for such a special event. Moist and not too sweet, just like I like my cake. Julie was very pleasant to work with until the day of the event. I hope this is a learning experience for the ladies at Virella's. You are a Latina women owned business, you can do better with the end product/design and customer service when you have displeased customers. Please don't just ignore them. Yes, you met the contract and gave me what I asked for on paper, but the end result was poor and not we talked about at the shop. Please recognize your error and give your customer the courtesy of being heard, validated, and out of respect return their calls. Wishing you ladies success in your business.
