Grabbed a seat at their bar last night and was not disappointed. Not only were the beer and pizza excellent, so was the atmosphere. I have to give a shout out to the young blonde (partially shaved head) bartender/ server. She had a difficult customer who was telling her that the coffee was too pricey and that he could find a better cup at McDonalds (gross). Instead of blowing him off, she patiently listened and graciously explained how coffee comes from different regions and everyone's tastes are different, etc. etc. I was really impressed with how she handled it. She's a keeper. Will definitely be back! read more

Exceptional pizza and home made ginger ale. I was there Friday 16/Dec, approx. 6:30, Scratch is located next to area for Open Mike Night, this tended to be quite loud and had to go to front of Public Market to eat, but no big issue, Scratch and Public Market quite enjoyable read more

Not much to review based on my visit but a solid 5. Black garlic knots... a little sweet, a great roast garlic flavor, plenty to eat. $2.50 at happy hour. Altough I've made many visits to Easton Public Market, yesterday was my first stop at Scratch. We pulled up to the bar after ordering a margherita pizza and a couple of pints of ShawneeCraft beer. The pizza was great! Delivered hot, crispy, and with great flavor. Wonderful service as well. If you are a pizza fan, do yourself a favor and stop there during your next visit to the public market. read more

I've been waiting to go to this place for quite a while but sadly their hours are horrible. I don't think a place like this should be closing at the same time other places are just ending their happy hours. I really want to try this place and their beer but it's near impossible and I personally feel like with a place with a bar/food scene like downtown Easton has they're harming themselves by having such limited hours. The owners and people who work there must be writing the good reviews. This is up there in the Worst Pizza Ever category. The dough is probably frozen, bought from a wholesaler like Sysco or something similar. Thin crust should have a "crunch" to it, this was...well doughy. The sauce was sour, again probably out of a giant can and not cooked down. If it was homemade they are waaaaaaay off on their recipe. The value for $10 is just not there. Save your money! read more

The gentleman that's mid-age (No Offense) usually here is PIZZA GOD, he usually works the afternoons but I haven't seen him lately (MAKES THE BEST!) I came here at 8:30pm on Sep 15th 2017 this time, theirs a chick that made our Pizza, Taste NOTHING like the PIZZA GODs. The pizza was SOGGY wet and the shiitake Pizza WAS TERRIBLE. a solid three stars is all they have earned from me ! granted we went on a pretty busy PA bacon fest weekend 2017. there actually no line at all for this place so we walked right up and we ordered three pizzas..45 dollars later for 11 inch pizzas we were told it was going to be about 25 minutes !! wowza. for little tiny pizzas ? ok. we got them to go and live about 7 minutes away by the time we got home we were drooling from the smell in the car the pizzas were giving off, and then we tasted them. The pizza was okay. not bad at all. but not 45 dollars worth of good either. i will be going back on a week day to give them another shot to wow me. read more

My friends and I went here for a quick dinner before a show at the State Theatre. First I have to say fifteen dollars for an 11 inch pizza is ridiculous! I cannot say over priced loud enough. I got the pepperoni and they each had the goat cheese one. When mine came to the table, which we had to get up and get, it was burnt. The crust was like cardboard. I tasted the others, and the same issue for me that the crust was hard and dry and burnt. They do not know how to make pizza at all. Mine was also very peppery. It had hot sauce or something on it that killed the taste of the pepperoni. I ate it because I was desperately hungry, and we only had an hour to grab something to eat. I don't mind spending a little extra if the food it good. THIS WAS NOT! I suggest that the pizza maker go to school and learn how to make pizza. This was like eating frozen pizza from the frig. Hard to decide on a number for this place. They make a perfectly adequate crispy thin crust wood fired pizza. Service is friendly. Toppings on the Chèvre and Shiitake (and confit garlic) are delicious. So what's my dilemma? They claim their pizza is Neapolitan. Sorry, but Neapolitan pizza has a tender, soft, even chewy texture, not crispy. It is characterized by abundant air pockets and bubbles in the prominent edge of the crust. Cooking takes place above 700 F and generally in less than 2 minutes. Scratch pizza has a thin, crispy crust with zero bubbles and toppings right out almost to the edge. It takes a few minutes to cook, and at a lower temperature, which is how they get the water out of the dough to get it crisp. In other words, this is much closer to a Roman style pizza. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with that - but please don't call it Neapolitan (or Sicilian style or any other style that it isn't) read more

I've been there a couple times and the service is terrible. I sat in front of the beer taps for at least 5 or more minutes with the staff pouring beer and wiping the counter 2 feet in front of me and they never looked at me. I finally had to ask them if they were going to serve me. This happened the previous visit as well. I told them I would not be back. They were not busy either. read more

We've been to Scratch twice now, once on a Friday and once on a Saturday, both during the extended evening hours. The pizza is cooked at high temperature in a wood-fired brick oven, resulting in a beautifully crisp, thin crust in just a few minutes. Probably the best pizza crust I've had in the Lehigh Valley. The toppings are carefully sourced and are of excellent quality. We've had the Margherita, the pepperoni, and two speciality pizzas: one with arugula, balsamic vinegar, and diced tomatoes added just after the pizza emerged from the oven, and the other with garlic juniper coppa (dry-cured, thin-sliced pork). All were delicious. The pairing with Shawneecraft Brewing works very well. We've had the Bier Blanche and the Birra della Sol, both of which complemented the pizza very well. They had excellent full flavors, good balance between hops and malt, and reasonable alcohol contents (4-5%). The staff were very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed both visits to Scratch and will be returning soon. read more
