    Veggie pizza with ricotta cheese

You can drive by and not even realize you're passing by this place because sign is so small. Called in veggie pizza with ricotta cheese take out. Pizza was good.

We decided to take a road trip here after seeing they had cider and wood fired pizza. While the ambiance isn't anything fancy, it was fun to see the owner making the pizzas and although he was buys he took the time to talk to us about the pizza and ciders. I appreciated the local ingredients and all of the fun ciders. It's also hard to find an authentic pizza place and this hit the spot! We will be back!

This is a place that cares about their pizza and the ingredients they use to create them. Locally sourced(and that goes for their beers and ciders too!).

We decided to give this place a go for a casual birthday dinner for two. The place is incredibly small, but we were lucky enough to get a seat at the counter by the window. The server (I believe her name is Adrianna) was phenomenal. Extremely bubbly and welcoming. We got the fresh ciabatta roll, Happy Pig, and Margarita Pizza. Everything was out. of. this. world. The food was so amazing, we had to get an extra ciabatta roll to go. The cider was fantastic. I cannot wait to go back!

The pizza is good. It is go out of your way to get it good. Take a trip to Emmaus, go to the local bookstore, grab a beer at a local brewery and get this pizza. Seriously though, wood fire pizza oven gives it such a nice crust. The sauce is slightly sweet and it works. I had the margarita pizza which was everything it should be, sauce, chunks of fresh mozzarella and fresh basil. My kids had the pepperoni and they loved it. I did not get any beer or cider but it was nice to see it offered. I also got the ciabatta. It was a little salty on the outside but it worked well. It was tasty. This is a small place, it was cozy. They have frozen pizza to go which is nice. Service was good and prompt. I did not have to wait for anything. My son spilled his drink and I did not even have to ask for napkins or anything, they saw it and were on top of it. I will be back here for sure.

Tucked away in a humble building, this place is the perfect place if you're looking for local, quality, stone oven-baked pizza. The ciabatta roll has the potential of being enjoyed during every meal of the day. You could not ask for a better meal or better service! Greeted as soon as you walk in, this place knows you're ready to eat. It's also nice sitting at the bar area where you can watch the food get prepared and baked. Overall great experience, love the food, love the people, Switchback is a hidden gem of Emmaus!

Ugh, just delightful. The vegan pizza is my go-to, and I happily eat the whole thing with no shame. I love that you can see them cutting the kale and preparing everything, from the veggies to the dough to the stoking.... I'm in love. Best pizza in The Valley, hands down.

Special: bourbon glazed apple, Italian sausage, gorgonzola

Great pizza and great selection of home made ciders. Their pizza oven is legit and cranks out pizzas in just a couple of minutes under it's 900 degree wood fired splendor. Tried the daily special and looking forward to sampling their other offerings soon. Cider was delicious, they have over a dozen varieties to enjoy.

No beer. But the ciders and meads are phenomenal. My girlfriend and I stopped in yesterday on a Saturday afternoon, which was our first time there. We each tried a cider flight and a mead flight and loved everything. Definite standouts for me were the Mother Muse and Tulsi (both had a nice mix of sweet fruit taste with a hint of herbs like rosemary and basil) and the Ayamarcay with its decadent peanut/chocolate flavor. The story of how this place came to be is just as incredible. Founding member Christian Annese was misdiagnosed many years ago with Celiac, which led him to the world of ciders and meads. At the time, NJ laws made it incredibly difficult to brew quality cider, and mead was effectively illegal. So Christian and his partners worked tirelessly with NJ legislators to change the law, and in 2020 Armageddon opened for business. Highly recommend a visit. We will definitely be back!

I have tried almost all of their ciders and love tasting all the seasonal varieties on tap. Some of my favorites include the General George, Cider Donut, and Strawberry Lemonade. There's a bar inside and during peak months, a second bar is opened right outside the tasting room. There are two indoor bathrooms and a few porta-potties outside in the parking lot. They do not offer food on-site except for food trucks which are usually parked outside the tap room on weekends. You are allowed to bring your own food and I have even seen people set up for parties with a whole spread of snacks and treats. There is limited seating both inside and outside, so I strongly advise bringing lawn chairs. There's some picnic seating spread throughout the lawn, but it fills up quickly on a nice day. I love that they allow dogs as many of the wineries in the area do not. There's a bunch of lawn games available for kids and adults alike. They offer some 4 packs of cans and refillable growlers to take home. You can also find some of their ciders in local liquor stores. The parking lot fills up very quickly. The lot is a mix of dirt/gravel and can be a bit of a bumpy ride. Overall, a great day trip for families looking to relax outside on a nice day!

Burnt Mills offers a range of sweet and dry fruit-forward ciders in 4 oz., 8 oz., and 16 oz. servings with 12 options on tap, including seasonal specialties available only for a limited time. Thankfully, you can sample several of them at a time by ordering a flight of four 4 oz. servings. On my most recent visit, I really enjoyed the General George (5.5% ABV), a balanced cider featuring tart black cherry rounded out by vanilla that's smooth and dangerously easy to drink, and the Friendsgiving 2025 (5.5% ABV), a holiday in a glass that is a complex blend of cranberries, orange peel, rosemary, honey, and cinnamon. YUM! I'm definitely excited to go back and try the other varieties on-tap, then grab a growler or cans to go. PRO TIP #1: Drive slowly in the parking lot. There's a large dip midway up the driveway from US Route 206 that could bottom out your vehicle. PRO TIP #2: Pack a picnic basket. While recent changes to New Jersey's previously draconian liquor laws have eased many restrictions on microbreweries and cideries, they still can't have full-service kitchens. Burnt Mills often hosts food trucks on the weekends (check their calendar!), but you'll want to pack your own snacks if you visit during the week. You can also bring your own food or order from local Bedminster/Far Hills restaurants via a delivery app!
