Pizza is pretty good... but stay away from the sandwiche... ordered a chicken parm and a meatball parm... $30 later we had rolls with sauce and chees... the ends of the rolls were even empty. Not worth the money!! read more

I ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce tomato onion and Mayo California cheeseburger thought it was coming like a cheeseburger on a kaiser roll it came on a hoagie roll with a whole bunch of crap in it sauteed onions which I didn't order this is absolutely the worst freaking cheeseburger I've ever had in my life cut in half shoved in his large roll with all kinds of crap there's not even any Burger to it... NEVER AGAIN... There was "NO MEAT" on the sandwich. It's like they literally just cut a small meatball in half and threw it in with this sloppy mess. "NOT A CHEESEBURGER". There should be MEAT and cheese in the cheeseburger? Shouldn't there be? read more

Salvatore's Pizza - Worst cheeseburger ever - Pizza Near Me - Macungie, Pennsylvania

First and last time here. I have my own pizza bag and have had hot to warm pizza out of this bag after an hour. It took me 20 minutes to get home from here and the pizza was cold and the crust was stale. I understand places like this get busy but it seems like the pizzas are mass produced, there had to be a dozen or more pizzas on top of the oven and you get what you get. read more

The pizza is hit or miss, they sometimes give a collect 10 cards coupon get a pizza but seem to only give it half the time . They don't seem to be able to move a lot of food when busy either. And lastly the steak meat is probably the lowest grade meat you can buy, it's not real steak it's like an institutional grade mix. We really use to like Sals but it just has been a let down over the last year or 2. Kids ask where and if we say Sals they don't want it. read more

This place is really hit or miss I really do like this place but I just recently had the worst buffalo chicken pizza of my life the last time I went zero buffalo and the chicken was not appetizing at all. Their calzones are pretty consistent though from what I've had in the past. Also, very friendly people running the place. I really do hate to leave a bad review. read more

I love this place! I only get here every couple of years, but it's always consistently very good. The pizza is very good. The service is very friendly. It definitely is a pizza shop, it feels like a pizza shop, and watching the people behind the counter is free entertainment. It's definitely worth the drive. read more

Simple: The food is delicious! Love both the cold and hot sandwiches, and we find that the service is always spot on. We tend to order Pick-Up because it's super convenient, and the staff is always so nice and efficient. read more

The pizza here is some of the best [if not the best pizza]; however, they are absolutely TERRIBLE at estimating how long it will take [or when to pick up] your pizza. Sure, they'll give you a time....30 mins....45 mins....1 hour.....but they are NEVER NEVER EVER on-time. I can't ever remember showing up to pick up the pie and it's ready. Never.....and they're off by a lot sometimes. I've already waited an additional 25-30 mins in the shop after arriving after the original estimate of 45-50 mins they gave me when I placed the order. Just saying.....very annoying. One off....every once in a while.....OK - totally get it. This is par for the course. read more

This is a response to a previous review.... The response you gave just shows how unprofessional this business is. I just answered the questions that Yelp asked. I wasn't trying to bash you personally, my dear but it is a business and your actions have consequences. That's why Customer Service matters and unfortunately your answer is showing everyone how true the statements that I made are because your behavior right now is showing that you have no regard for your customers. Like I said it's a family business your brother, your father, all family.... Maybe you all should take a course in Customer Service. I did not come in pissed. I simply said I cannot wait and if you had let me finish instead of cutting me off. I was trying to tell you I had to be somewhere for 7:30 and did not have time to wait, but before I could finish you guys already had your opinion of me you automatically thought I had an attitude, IDK. I'm sorry to say but it's not my business that you guys are running late or you guys are running behind. I can either wait or not wait. All you had to do was say 'your order is not ready, would you like to wait or not?' I know how it is because my parents also owned a restaurant. It comes with the territory. There are times it gets crazy hectic and stressful, but you have to know how to talk to people when you're busy as well as when everything is slow. Your brother or cousin watched me stand there waiting for the pizza and then when you asked for it he acted like he didn't know I was waiting for it. And by the way he still had the pizza in a box on top of the pizza oven. I saw when he put it there. And at that point he still didn't say oh well it's still on top of the oven, you can still take it, he just continued to say oh I thought she wasn't waiting. Meanwhile I stood at the register for the 10 minutes extra. You can bash me all you want on here, but I am not a business people are reviewing. I also have many people who can vouch for my character my dear. As for the ambiance, there were boxes and a lot of stuff around, no offence my dear. read more

Being from the NYC area, I'm surrounded by a good pizzeria nearly everywhere I go so I'm always a bit judgmental when it comes to trying pizza in another state. I have to say that the pizza here exceeded all my expectations. It was better than most pizza places in the NY. So much so that it prompted me to write a review about it. Can't go wrong having pizza here! Will return when in the area. read more

Salvatore's Pizza - Large cheese steak, always the best in the Lehigh valley. - Pizza Near Me - Macungie, Pennsylvania

They forgot to make my pizza. So they rushed it and it was not cooked enough. My Stromboli is raw on the bottom. Both are a floppy mess. Had to wait over an hour they said 25/30 minutes. This is the forth time in four years they messed up. I won't be going a fifth time. Only thing they have going for them is Macungie is a small town and they sell alcohol as well. I don't get how they are still in business when I hear from so many people how shitty the food is. What a waste of $40 read more

Absolutely love this place , the people , and food . Service is on par . Even came in during a snow storm and they were still rocking !

The service here is amazing. Great for locals and/or visitors. Me 5 of my friends came here for a lunch after a long morning and we were trying to get two pizzas and two 2 liters and we were short like 5 bucks but the guy taking our order just said meh it's the holidays, and proceeded to get our order in. The pizza is amazing and always made fresh and the place looks amazing.another time it was pointing out and me and 6 friends came in to eat and we were soaking wet. They continued to take our orders and even gave us a bag of towels to dry off with. They then continued to clean the floor for us after we soaked it. Amazing service, food, and ambience. 5 stars easy read more

We ordered a half Hawaiian/half cheese pizza one night from Sals. When my husband went to go pick it up he came here...thinking we ordered from here. Well it turns out we accidentally ordered from a Sals in Allentown by accident. This Sals graciously offered to make us the pizza. The pizza was awesome! This may be our new go-to place. The price was right too! Significantly cheaper than other places around town! The only reason I knocked off 1 star is because it was supposed to be half-Hawaiian...it was more like 1/4th Hawaiian. read more

Not sure why their reviews are so so. The best quality pizza I've had in the Lehigh Valley, hands down!

Ordered a square thin crust pizza with onions a few evenings ago . Was told 30-35 minutes which is their usual wait. I arrived before the pizza came out of the oven so it wasn't sitting on top of the ovens. Needless to say , the only parts of the pizza that were edible were the pieces on the outer edges. Pieces other than that couldn't be eaten. Total waste of $19.00 and if they want to sell thin crust pizza they should learn how to bake it so the ENTIRE pizza is edible! read more

Everything is great; just like you remember from earlier times. Possibly the best lasagna outside of Nonna's!

Great local pizzeria, baked fresh and hot. Make sure to order ahead on weekends. This place gets pretty busy on weekends, but worth the wait. read more

A few months ago, I had their pizza, a medium with sausage. It was ok... Just recently, I had their cheesesteak. The quality was not very good. The service is friendly when you enter the shop, but it seems they don't cook with passion. I gotta say, the restaurant is very clean. I REALLY wanna support little shops like this, but when there is no passion, the food is what suffers most. read more

Honestly, can't believe how poor the food was compared to just a few years ago. Cheesesteak was not good... meat was not flavored and roll was soggy. Pizza was badly burnt. Only thing that was edible was the Buffalo chicken cheesesteak. Probably won't go back until I hear or read better reviews. read more

The food is solid. A few inconsistent nights with the pizza, not being quite up to what we expect over 5 years of ordering. CON: They ALWAYS tell you 20-25 minutes to pick up. It is almost always 40 minutes until it is ready. Our last 8-10 visits, this has been the case. Tonight it was 50 mins, after they told us 20-25, which would be fine if they tell you over the phone but they don't, and they leave you standing there in the parlor staring at them for 15-20 minutes(or more). Sicilian pizza is very good, most nights. Sandwiches are a good size for the pricing. Overall - we'll still order from them, we just don't show up until 10 minutes after they tell us the food will be ready. read more

Old school. I've been going since I was very young. I can't find a better tasting pizza anywhere. Love this spot.

I could give 0 stars I would! Cold soggy pizza, super slow delivery, Very rude, nasty customer service!

The dining room may need a refresh, but don't let that scare you away. If you are going here looking for a fine dining experience, you are going to the wrong place, however, if you are looking for great New York Style pizza, steak and sub sandwiches on rolls delivered fresh daily and tasty calzones, this is the best place in Macungie. This is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that if you've never been to, you are likely to overlook, or walk away. It seems like some of the other reviewers went in with expectations other than what Salvatore's is. Salvatore's isn't and will never be a fine dining establishment, but their food has never disappointed me and the price is right. P.S. No I don't work here and am not related to any of the owners, but I eat here at least 3 times a week. read more

I honestly don't understand why Sal's is rated so low. It seems like 2 years ago there was a counter girl that gave some crappy service and a couple other people had to wait longer than they wanted. I personally have never had to wait longer than they told me and I have ordered 10+ times. I have been to a lot of the top pizza places in the Northeast: Frank Pepe in New Haven, Joe's in NYC, DeLorenzo's in Robbinsville NJ, Lorenzo's in Philly, Umberto's on Long Island, etc and Sal's is a quality pie. I can tell you this, I have lived in Baltimore the last five years and Sal's is better than anything I found there and I probably tried 20+ pizza places there. My wife's family lives in Macungie and I would get Sal's every time I visited. We just moved to the area and I am excited Sal's is a short walk down the street now. The pizza is a very good NY style pie at an affordable price. They run a special on Thursday's for two 16 inch cheese pizzas for like $17.99. Even without the special you can get a 16 inch pie with two toppings for around $14-$15. The hoagies are huge with a decent amount of meat and Amoroso's rolls. If I could give decimal ratings, I'd rank Sal's as like a 4.2 or 4.3 but I gave a 5 to help offset some of the undeserved hate. Give it a try. It's much better than the 3 star rating it currently has. Oh and this is my first review ever despite using Yelp for years. So if I took the time to write this as my first review, you know it is well deserved. read more

Pizza is good. I was in to get a pie I ordered a couple weeks ago. One of 7 employees I could count was wearing a mask. The others used them as face decorations. The guys who prepared the pizza included. Then a young girl and I assume her father were too good to wear masks or social distance. Sorry. I won't go back. But the pizza was good. read more
