(Okay, now you know a little more about me...) All of the ingredients are clearly high end, and that comes through immediately in the taste. Unfortunately, you pay dearly for the privilege. A plain cheese pie (the Gabby) or a regular margherita will set you back $9, which could buy an entire large pie elsewhere. Pepperoni is $2, again the price of a much larger pie. Sodas are gourmet Maine Root but at $3 a bottle, go to your local Trader Joe's, Wegman's, etc. and pick up your own 4-pack instead. So I have to knock off a star for that. The service was very good considering there was only one man staffing the truck. I might go back again but I will bring my fattest wallet.

I went in tonight to pick up two pies I had ordered online. They weren't quite ready yet, so I sat down to wait and was immediately greeted by the young man working the register. He then proceeded to do something that feels like a lost art these days: he actually talked to me. A few minutes later, the guy making the pizza joined the conversation too. In the span of a 10-minute wait, we talked about college, sports, music, and pizza. It was such a nice change from the usual "face in the phone" experience you get in so many places now, where customer interaction feels like an afterthought. Then, when one of the pies didn't look up to their standard, they made me a new one and gave me the original pie for free. So basically: go for the pizza, which is excellent, but stay for the great customer service. Solid spot.

The food was magnificent--my guests could not stop raving! She also made a stunning and delicious birthday cake, and an assortment of mini cupcakes that were also scrumptious. Her team of servers and bartender were all seasoned, excellent professionals and the entire evening was perfect. This company treats each client as if they were family and makes sure that your food experience will leave your guests raving for days to come. After we had signed the initial contract, we wanted to adjust to add in a Mashed Potato Bar. Not only was this able to be accommodated, we were also given more than expected the day of! The staff that came to set up was an amazing couple, I think the son of the owner, and made sure that our day was everything we dreamt of for food. All of our guests loved the food, and as all the reviews indicate, the pulled pork is out of this world. Even the gluten free mac and cheese was to die for, and that is a hard dish to make perfect! Stick with me. There's a lesson here…read more Any Kitchen Nightmare fans? There's a couple of old old old episodes of that remind me of this place. Stay with me. There's one where the restaurant is jn an old church and they serve an early bird buffet that attracts a much older crowd. There's another episode where the restaurant is set up as fine dining - with prices to match - and the executive chef is cooking a bunch of old school dishes with cream sauces and odd ingredient combinations that call to mind the highfalutin recipes of yesteryear. One look at the lunch crowd and the menu of chicken dishes with strawberries in sauce (???) and I just knew Zaddy Gordon had to be in the kitchen calling someone a donkey. Still there? This was a work holiday lunch with folks who'd been here before - I let them lead the way and got to try some things I'd probably pass on. We had some shrimp and avocado thing as an app - I wouldn't order it because I'm tired of getting pushed around by Big Avocado - but it was really good. The veggie spring rolls were good too. Some of my colleagues were all in on chicken and shellfish dishes (and the people who got the chicken and creamy strawberries cleaned their plates so what do I know). I went with one of my faves - chicken Caesar wrap with fries, side salad, Diet Coke, and a glass of sangria. We had one server for our party of 18 and she was fantastic. Another person kept our glasses full. Good to know: -The place is huge. Multiple dining rooms, bright, open, and airy. Did not expect that from outward appearances. You tell me chalet and I'm expecting a mountain cabin and Switzerland on the other side. -Great seating. We were there a couple hours and I felt comfortable the whole time -a bit pricey on the dishes but work was paying so I noted it and kept it moving So what did we learn today kids? ::cue sitcom learning a lesson music:: Don't make ageist assumptions - I really enjoyed the intergenerational vibe of the dining room and was secretly envious of the leisurely lunching monied crowd and want that for myself in a few years.
