Bartenders were assholes. Ordered 10 beers and said they couldn't serve 10 unless we stand in the rain. And so I ordered 4 and they said don't serve this guy. They said they were doing me a favor. Bye bye a-hole. Lots of other great breweries and wineries close by. Even if we had 6 or 8 people max, the staff were incredibly rude. We are all working professionals and maintain our politeness regardless of the situation. We hope you can replace your inadequate, incompetent employees or teach them much much better people skills. read more

Due to COVID, no indoor seating was available. They have a very small, but nice deck for seating. Yes, the view of the lake is beautiful, but when visiting Seneca Lake, there are MANY beautiful views. This place was unfortunately very underwhelming for us. The Beef on a Weck sandwich was decent, but nothing I feel I NEED to have on every trip to Seneca. read more

Go because you love the name; Stay because the beverages and food are great! Craft beer, local wines and beef on weck...that's all they do and they do it well! Order at the bar; the music has a dead-head vibe; Very chill. My husband had a bitter IPA and I had a sparking wine. Service was quick & friendly and the drinks were cold and delish. The sandwiches are made with fresh, organic beef and a creamy sauce, served with pickle & fries and a smidge of horseradish on the side. It was yummy and satisfying! Of course, one of the best parts of this place is the hippie charm inside and the spectacular view of Seneca Lake. But I also loved the tee-shirt selections, so fun...and the chickens on the grounds are really cute too Family friendly and nearby to several other wineries and hiking trails. Lots of outdoor seating with and without rooftop. Parking was easy. I hope to visit again with friends and family this summer at this finger lakes gem! read more

This is such a great spot with beautiful views. The beers were pretty good- nothing mind blowing, but all solid. My favorite was the Quadiemoto Belgian quad. The snacks were pretty good too. We went for the hummus plate and it was great for sharing amongst us. I'd imagine this is probably a better experience without COVID, but it worked just fine for us a spot to hang out for the afternoon. read more

I was told Two Goats brewery had one of the best views of the Seneca Lake and great beer. Stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon, which also was Food truck Tuesday (Sabores de Oaxaca). The tamales are apparently the guy's grandmother's recipe and they're delicious. Since flights are not offered here, we ordered the Dirty Butt (Cream and Brown) and the Danger Goat! (Blonde Doppelbock). The brewpub is eclectic with a self serve movie theater popcorn machine, and random dollar bills pinned throughout the ceiling. The back deck has gorgeous views of the Seneca Lake and of the surrounding vineyards. The vibe is laidback, local and love all the pooches that come by to visit. read more

Nice selection of beer. Only serve beef on weck but it was good and I live in Buffalo where beef on weck is a serious thing. It was juicy but not sloppy and had fresh horseradish on the side. Roll could have had a little more salt and caraway seeds but was still good. read more

An absolutely fun and offbeat place to visit! During our meandering throughout wine country, we passed Two Goats and had to stop in - beer in wine country? Sign us up! Actually, full disclosure - I don't like beer, and didn't drink any, butttt my husband and our friends loved the beers here. There are other offerings too, hard seltzers, cider beers, etc, for any other non-beer drinkers out there. I LOVED the atmosphere, views, and tunes. Bonus - there's a popcorn machine constantly churning fresh delicious popcorn - covered in garlic salt, I believe. It is the perfect salty snack to pair with beer - or anything else for that matter! It was crowded when we were visiting, but still plenty of space for our four-some to cozy up in a corner and chat over beers and popcorn. There are some tables and chairs around the perimeter of the room, and we even managed to snag some seats at one point. The ceiling is decorated with hundreds of bills - mostly dollar bills, but we spotted some larger tender, Euros, Canadian dollars, and other foreign paper currency. Not too sure the rules, but evidently there's a bar game involved with throwing thumb tacks and your bill, in attempts to get it to stick? I imagine this happens when the establishment is somewhat less crowded (hopefully!!), but to me, it looks like a lovely retirement fund for the owner of this place! There's a wraparound deck, with uninterrupted views of Seneca Lake. It's a bit windy out there, but when the sun was up it's toasty warm! It really was a picture perfect afternoon! Have gone here three different times for music. They have a wide variety of bands (one week bluegrass, next time rock, next time acoustic ) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. And the view is beautiful, However, if you pay by credit card, BE SURE TO LOOK AT THE SCREEN WITH THE BILL ON IT BEFORE YOU SIGN! Two of the three times we have been there we have been : 1. double charged for glasses of wine, 2. Ordered a $24 dollar bottle of wine and when I looked at the bill we were charged us $36. THEY ARE TRYING TO RIP PEOPLE OFF, thinking that you won't look at your bill and will just scribble your name. If it had only happened once I could believe it was an honest mistake. But 2 out of 3 times, is just ripping people off. Just beware. read more

Awesome place! Anybody in the area should definitely check this place out. It's very small and right of the edge of a hill, so it's pretty scenic. I came here to listen to my brother's band play. They have live music frequently. The people here truly are what make the place great. The people are all super nice and fun, it's honestly a little strange how right my parents were about this place. It's just a fun environment and they ALWAYS have a good time whether you be local or an outsider. The decor is interesting too and they enjoy shooting dollar bills up to the ceiling throughout the night. By the end of the night, you feel like you know everyone personally! They serve beer and wine, no liquor. I had a cider that was local and it was delicious. They definitely have unique brews here. When it comes to food, they are very simple. They only serve roast beef sandwiches and they have free popcorn. While I love variety, there is no going wrong with this sandwich. It truly was amazing. This is one of the best breweries I've ever been to. I wish it was closer! Two Goats has a spectacular patio overlooking Seneca Lake, and the interior is very charming with kitschy decor and a friendly atmosphere. I tried several of their beers as we visited twice during a long weekend trip, and the ESB was my favorite. Although all were good. As far as food, there was a short menu of delicious looking sandwiches and they serve fresh popcorn for free to guests. The next time I'm in the Finger Lakes, I will absolutely be stopping here. read more

It's a special place with great vibes and even better views of the lake. One of the best spots to get a drink on the lake in my opinion.

Although charming on the exterior, the staff at the bar was exceedingly rude. When asked what I'd like I said "Coke please." The bartender said "Nope" and threw a menu AT me and walked away. I would never again visit a business that treats women like that. I'm a 50 year old professional career woman. Hard pass. Ladies you need to demand the respect you deserve. Speak with your dollars. What's not to love about 2 goats?!?! The place is rustic, funky, american pickers style, Adirondack meets old farmhouse loft! I loved it! The beers are great! I loved the oatmeal goat stout, dark, tasty everything I love about a dark beer! They also offer many other options, as well as guest beers and even a hard cider. The view! Wow it doesn't get much better! A nice big deck over looking Seneca lake, this is the perfect back drop to enjoy the view while sipping on your favorite brew of choice from here! Two Goats is a little difficult to review. I agree with the other Yelpers. The beer (or at least the one I tried) is good. The view at Two Goats is fantastic (may be one of the best on the lake). I was a little disappointed that Two Goats does not offer flights and/or more food options. I stopped into Two Goats with the plan of tasting their beers and moving on. Their set up makes this difficult to do. The set up at Two Goats is set up more for you to grab a pint with some friends for a couple of hours not a pop in and out experience. In a nutshell not a bad place to spend an afternoon but does not necessarily fit with the other breweries on the "beer trail". read more

On the wine trail, just by walking in you can tell Two Goats is for the locals. Outsiders are definitely welcome, but this is where the locals come to avoid the tourists. Couldn't tell too much from the website. I had intentions of stopping here for lunch but the Stonecat came up first. Two Goats is located in an old barn, and has huge ceilings and a loft area above the bar. I heard the loft is where the live bands play from on weekend nights, which I thought was really cool. Two Goats has about 4 beers that they brew there and a few other great mirco brews as well. I sampled two beers, and ended up getting my usual, a darker ale. It didn't blow my socks off, but by no means was it bad. I loved the free popcorn in the corner, always a plus to any bar! There is an outside deck that wraps around the back, and it gives swell views of the lake, as you can see in the other Yelpers pix. I enjoyed my time here off the beaten wine trail path, and would visit again. I can easily see myself giving this place 5 stars if I came during a live music set! read more

Come for the beer. Stay for the view. Note: this is a park it and sip it kind of place. They do not offer flights and tastings, so bring good company with you, get cozy and stay awhile. If you ask the brew master what's good: he will tell you all of them. Go with your gut and get what suits you. If you like easy drinking beer go for their cream ale of Hefeweizen. If you like getting hopped up, opt for their XIPA. Make it in before sunset: the view of Seneca Lake from the back deck is unforgettable and made our evening. read more

This story about beer starts with a few good hearted jabs about wine. My wife, dog and myself took a trip to Ithica for a camping trip. To start off I was stoked not only for camping, but for some really good beer. We camped on Cayuga Lake. We got there pretty early in the day, set up camp and my wife wanted to hit some wineries close by. Me not a huge fan of wine, I drank more or less unenthused. We hit the third winery and the gentleman serving us some sweet alcoholic beverages, noticed my less than enthused reactions to the drinks he so excitedly told us about Two Goats. I believe his exact words were "That's where the locals go when they want good beer." So we carried on with our camping, hiking, swimming and cooking out for another day or so. Then it was time to move on. We set our sights on Seneca Lake with a few wineries and Two Goats in mind. Down side.... we arrived pretty early in the morning and Watkins Glen was not happy we pulled in with our dog. So we said.... OK and mulled around bit, it was blazing on anyway. Then we set out for food, wine and for me.. BEER! This took us on a nice drive around the lake. A few stops later, we arrived. The place was small an unassuming down a steep driveway, and we thought we were driving into a winery. NOPE! Just the parking lot. So now we have arrived, but a dilemma was posed to us. Could we in fact bring out travel companion inside. I mean he did offer to put on pants and a hat, but we figured we would send in my wife to do some recon first. As it turns out, they are dog friendly! So do not worry being your best four legged friend with you, no disguise needed. So now we are inside. The beer selection was great, though as I type this I cannot remember the beer that was recommended to me, only that they did not have it at that time. I did have the Hefeweizen, the Hector Logger and the Ultra Pale Ale. All great beers! We took to the deck to start off and have some roast beef sandwiches. Which I might add were also very good. Now this place is pretty small and if I remember correctly, they only had roast beef and a popcorn machine. But this is not a food destination, this is a tasty beer destination. After we ate and the dog said, enough with this heat, we retreated indoors for some much needed AC and a few more cold brews. The decor was great. All great wood and good beer signs. There is a loft, but it appeared to be for storage. The bartender was a very nice man who gave me his recommendations, and managed to serve all the patrons both with a smile and very efficiently. I defiantly recommend if you are on Seneca lake and want a nice, delicious, cold beer. You should stop in Two Goats. You will not be disappointed. On a final note, there is not someone shooting at you with a shotgun. We were told that is a propane cannon used to scare the birds away form the grape vines in the vineyard that surrounds the brewery. So no need to duck and cover. Instead get another pint and enjoy yourself. read more

WARNING: this is a bar, not a craft brewery sort of setup. Feels like a bar in here. They don't do flights! *** Not what you'd expect from a place trying to make their name as a winery alternative for beer-tasting people. They have PBR signs up on display. This speaks volumes to the character of the place. You'd be better-served at other places if you're looking for a true brewery experience. As a bar, you'll have a blast. They're divey and fun and have great beer to drink as pints- plus, great views. But I wanted to try flights. Because I love beer. *** For samples, they don't have small tasting glasses. *** Customer service was okay but definitely not overly friendly. They aren't at all expensive. *** Decor is interesting and visually stimulating, but not unlike any other bar. *** My favorite was the cream ale, which I would possibly consider a growler of. The roast beef sandwich was recommended to my boyfriend and I at a vineyard down the road. The owner, Jon is personable and loves what he does. It shows in the beer and the space. It was awesome getting to briefly talk to him. PBR is always in tap. Cheap beer- good for the live shows that happens on weekends. Wine is available and over 15 different bottled beers (Sea Dog, Ommegang, Sierra Nevada, Southern Tier and etc) BUT, you should try one of their beers-It's the only place you can get it. And, it's great. I had two Hefeweizen's. I tried the Cream Ale- good. My boyfriend had the Goat Master Ultra Pale Ale which he loved. One beer can easily turn into 2 or 3. On a recent Saturday afternoon, this place was happening. Crowded with people, getting out of the rain and having a few good beers in an old barn, with dollar bills thumb tacked to the ceiling. The brew house also has an excellent view of Seneca Lake. I asked the barkeep what should I try first. A "Dirty Butt". I did. She was right, the name was catchy, but the beer was exceptional.
