Fantastic beers! My wife and I each got a flight of four so that's eight different beers to sample and I really enjoyed all of them.

This is one of my favorite brewery on Keuka Lake. I have a hard time finding craft beer that I like and they have one that is perfect. The service is wonderful I always feel welcomed. This is my favorite because of how they make you feel like family. read more

We stopped in at 4pm on a gorgeous Sunday and it appeared pretty dead. The entrance was difficult to navigate, decline and stone, not paved. There were two bartenders taking orders when we approached the bar. We got in line behind a family of 4 with 2 small children sitting at bar stools, yes children at the bar. And another couple of two was also waiting in line ahead of us. The family of four took about 15 minutes to order two flights. Zero urgency for the building line behind them. The second bartender was absent while we waited to order. We finally got to the bar to order one beer the bartender said, we're trying to close in 30 minutes. Gheesh we waited 25 for a pint of beer. At least the liquid was great, a guava gose. read more

We stopped here only because we found this cool place to eat near by in Hammondsport, NY. They had a Kolsh beer from this brewery, so I decided to find the brewery and stop. We pulled up and it was a small brewery out of a garage. I think it may have been the first brewery in the area or on the lake. Anyhow we tried several different beers. They were decent, but my favorite was the kolsh. They had somewhat social distancing going. You did have to purchase a food item in which was popcorn for us and it was fine. We stayed for a couple of drinks. They had entertainment outside and people sitting outside mainly, compared to the traffic in the bar. read more

As another reviewer previously mentioned, "don't be afraid" ... and, I have to agree. The first time I pulled up to this place I thought.... ugh... this is kinds gross and frat-like with its Porta-potty outside and kegs piled high in back. Doesn't make for a nice greeting. But, again, "don't be afraid", you'll be pleasantly surprised by the beer! Out front, (weather permitting) are some lawn games and a nice patio with seating. We headed in. The air is notable heavy and stuffy. I thought it might have been a fluke on my first experience, but after going a second time I can say for sure, this is normal. The bar reminds me of someone's basement. It's not too flashy, or expensive, but people don't mind hanging here. *******MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP FOR THE REWARDS CARD********* This entitles you to I sample flight valued at $6 (5 samples). The beer choices change regularly. You can also purchase growlers, howlers, and 4 packs of cans. If you ask nicely they will let you mix and match the cans. I recommend the "murder" beer. Pretty great. My husband loves their "polymorphic ipa". We both found the "habanero" beer to be interesting. I tried to buy a few cans on my second trip, but it was all sold out. I'd really like to throw that into some chili, darn! If you decide to purchase a growler, don't forget that rewards card. I believe you save a few bucks when you present it at time of payment. Follow the signs to the Brewery... into a large parking lot that leads you to a small grassy section with an outside tented patio and picnic tables. There's a few outside games perfect for enjoying a beer. Once inside, there's a good sized room with a long tasting counter with lot's of beer decor on the walls. Check out all the different beer growlers from all over! I went with the pick four for $6 tasting, started off with the Polymorphic IPA. Super tasty wheat IPA, with fruit flavors.. yum! Second I tried the Hoppy Laker IPA, I love thes India Pale ales... citrus flavor! Next up I had the Alpha Predator, great punch at 8.0% but yet seems like a light brew. The last one in my sampling was the Imperial Local Mocha Stout... just ok, not my favorite. Our server told us we had to try the Habanero Ale, ( I was debating on trying it) I was really surprised at how good it was. The hotness doesn't sit on your tongue... it hits you in the back of the throat. With each sip growing stronger... bam! It was so good I ended up buying a 4 pack to go. I ended up getting a pint of the Hoppy Laker IPA to enjoy. As well as a growler and a few 4 packs to share! By far the highlight of our make shift brewery tour! I can't wait to go back! read more

We drove past this going to another brewery, and decided to stop back to check it out, and I'm so glad we did, because it was good! It is pretty nondescript from the outside, like a house/shed with a couple tables outside, a stone parking area, but no matter, because the beer inside was great. I like the simple and humble setting and the tasting room reminded me of a garage (not in a bad way at all) as it was open to the outside. There were so many beers to try, and you basically create your own flight by paying per pour (I think it was $2 per sample). I tried the Keuka Hoppy Laker IPA (american ipa, 7.6%, 65 IBU), the Keuka Polymorphic IPA #14 (new england IPA, 7.7%), the Keuka Imperial Local Mocha Stout, and the Rooster Fish Tripel Witch Ale (a belgian tripel). All four of these distinct styles were executed very well, a testament to the brewer. The Belgian was a highlight, as for some reason I did not expect that here, but it was great. The stout was excellent. Of note was the Keuka New Triks which I tasted as well. It is described as a "Tart blonde ale with lactose sugar aged on lime, orange, strawberry, blackberry and heaps of Trix cereal." I'm not into alternative flavors, but I appreciate the effort and brewers trying new things, and this one worked well. Not something I would drink everyday, but nice to try. read more

Great stop-highly recommend. Great beer and they have some fun games inside like Mario Cart and other fun games from the past. A nice place to just unwind and relax. Don't be afraid. The place only looks scary. You need not arrive on a four-wheeler to enjoy the rustic look of Keuka Brewing. The plastic Porta-John outside and kegs piled high in back show that they're more concerned with making beer than making pretty scenery. You can see more woods than lake up here, but head inside and test out a flight of brews. I don't drink beer, but our party reported that it was OK. Staff welcomed us and got us beers. What else do you need? They make the beer, it's up to you to make the atmosphere. read more

Whooooooh! This place is great. Some really good brews. Games, art, and cornhole. Really comfortable spot to hang out and have some beers. They had a nice mix of standard selections and some really good boundary pushers. EVERY person there was super friendly, Rich gave us a quick tour that was super cool. read more

Went here for the first time with my husband and his brother and fiancé, was excited to try their pumpkin beer that I heard great things about! Unfortunately they ran out by the time we got there. So my husband and I split a flight. Great prices as it was only 1$ per tasting in the flight, so we decided to try them all. I am more of a wheat/stout/fruit beer person, so the beers here weren't for me but my husband liked a few of them. I also loved their cute outdoor area so you can bring your dog, but not inside as your dog has to be a service dog to go inside. I also really loved that they used the shape of the lake for their flight holders. Overall, we had a good time here. read more

So everyone knows the Finger Lakes as WINE country, so what is this little brewery doing all the way out here? Making great beer! I was excited to see the Keuka Brewing Company on the local tourism map and decided to incorporate a beer tasting into our group's wine tour for the day. I've got to say I almost didn't think this place existed it was so far off the beaten trail, but with the help of our trusty (mostly) GPS and a few random road signs we did find the place. It. is. SMALL ! ! I mean even after you pull into the drive it seems like the place could be someone's personal practical joke. That being said, this brand new brewery is comfortable and welcoming once inside. They didn't yet have bottled beer for sale when we were there, but they do sell beer by the growler and offer cheap samples of all their varieties. I really enjoyed the Hoppy Laker IPA and everyone in my party loved the White Cap Wheat. The folks inside were extremely helpful and needless to say we left with quite a few growlers of KBC beer. You can tell these guys are still getting their flagship beers established and are open to trying new styles. I think they'll do great, I just hope they can start to ramp up production so I don't have to make a special trip all the way up to Keuka Lake to get a second sampling! read more

Keuka brewing company is a decent place to enjoy some brews like many others in the region. I was happy when I heard they released a peanut butter chocolate porter but after actually tasting this, I found it lackluster in taste (no peanut butter taste and very little chocolate taste) I was hoping for a full flavor brew! They did make up with it for the chocolate mocha stout with was great and I did take a growler back! They offer a $5 sampler to try the brews they have on the list and this a terrific option when trying to figure out what you feel like drinking. Also there's an outdoor area to take your drinks outside and relax under the trees. It seems the only thing this place lacks is some great scenic views, but good brews compensate for that! Yep, I'll be back on in for a refill! Minus a star for the weak PB porter. read more

Nice stop after some wineries, my husband and I shared a flight. I enjoyed the Bluff Point Brown Ale and the Local Mocha stout the best. It was a nice day, so we took our flight outside and sat at a picnic table while we enjoyed our beer. The girl pouring the beer was friendly (I did not get her name). This place was a (kind of) hidden gem! We stopped by here because we had a Groupon. It included two tasting flights and a $20 gift certificate for their store. Their IPA's are good, solid beers, but their stouts are where KBC shines. The Mocha Stout, in particular, was delicious. I even got my mom to drink some of it and she usually hates beer. Our server was really nice and took the time to actually have a real conversation with us. She helped us find a place where my parents could rent kayaks and was generally nice. We'll visit again next time we're in the area! read more

We drove to the brewery expecting a hustle and bustle being that it is in the Finger Lakes region and received the opposite. The atmosphere was lovely and enjoyable with people that were awesome. The owner was so courteous and the bar keep, she was amazing as well. We drove from Ft Drum met great people , exchanged information and enjoyed ourselves. Our party was not a fan of the Cucumber Ale, we all thought it was just took strange. They also had the Pumpkin Ale in the tasting even though it was August.... We were disappointed that they were out of the Imperial Local Mocha Stout, their local award winner. We were Fans of be Pumpkin and BlueCap. As far as service goes, the girl who helped us in the beginning could not have been more bored or unhelpful. She didn't explain the beers AT ALL, just dropped them off and mumbled the name. The second girl who helped us was much better, she at least gave some context to each taste. I think this is a place more for locals then tourists. We walked in and sat down at the bar, we were greeted by a girl who didn't seem to be interested in serving us. We only wanted one sampling. My +1 was excited for the last 3 beers, the coffee, habanero, and one other I can't remember. Again, mediocre at best for the beers. The staff wasn't super friendly (I am seeing a trend at Keuka) and no one explained the beers at all. We were asked what beer was next and handed the next one without any explanation. I get it, there's a sign to read it but really? No excitement on beer, no back story from servers who are supposed to make customers come back? For this to be the first brewery on Keuka, I can't understand why they serve their samplers in plastic sample cups (as one reviewer referenced 'dentist cups'). This was a downgrade. Plus the empty bags hanging from the ceiling, not too appealing for us. We walked out without a growler. Again, another Keuka brewery that fell short of expectations. read more

I've visited Keuka brewing twice in over a few separate years. I only returned hoping that the time between would've given the brewmaster time to perfect his art. I've been to many breweries, from some of the biggest in the world to some of the smallest. I've always been a supporter of small local businesses. However when a product is so not appealing, I really can't give it my stamp of approval. Yes, it's in wine country so it gives the guys a chance to revive their taste buds. With much less quality stuff here at Keuka Brewing than at the wineries, I'd say to stick with the wine. There are a lot of breweries popping up in the Finger Lakes region so this gives a chance to try some other ones. Both groups I went to Keuka with(some beer drinkers, and some weren't) just weren't impressed, a lot of the beers didn't have a lot of differentiating flavors. They had a winter seasonal that was ok, but honestly none of the beers really peak our palates or interests. Last time we went we finished our tasting($3) in under 10 minutes for there's no point to linger if the product is bad, and the employee is making forced, awkward small talk. read more

My husband and I travel to all different kinds of breweries and Keuka never disappoints. I find them top notch! Beers- all the beers are solid beers, all made well. Even if there's a kind I don't particularly like an IPA, I still appreciate from Keuka and think that it's made well and tastes decent. We had the tasting which I believe were 6 beers for $5. They were all very good and a nice variety which you don't get from a lot of places (kolsh, habenero, porter, gose, ale, and something else?). Atmosphere- The place itself is nothing special. There is a little outdoor patio and inside is just a plain tasting room with a bar to taste at but what I'm finding is, many breweries that sink all their money into these extravagant buildings tend to have crappy beer, so cheers to Keuka on keeping what's important in mind. Customer Service- The two men who were serving were very nice and gave us a list describing the beers. Once our server got busy and tied up doing something else, the other picked up his slack and completed our tasting for us. read more

A great brewery that has very eclectic and great beers. You select 5 different tastings for $6. They are served in a tall shot glass that they fill to the top. You can also skip the tastings and purchase a glass of beer. The people working there are knowledgeable and very nice. Half of the beers sampled were good. All were served cold, which was a relief to see that Keuka understands the value of keeping beer cold. Samples by a plastic dentist cup, by the inidividual tap, seems like a huge draw on an employee who seemed not happy to be there. Facility is NOT HANDICAP accessible, single un-marked restroom is very small and NOT CLEAN, no fan. Am wondering how they made NYS Inspection. read more
