Today was my daughters meet and greet for all wedding guests because many are from all parts of the country. I thought that was a great idea and she had booked a private event at this brewery. First, I want to say is what an absolute beautiful place this is. It was high on a hill overlooking the country side filled with beautiful scenery in this fall. It was an exceptionally sunny day with a breeze that came off the lake that could match no other. The drinks were delicious and had really cool specialties as well. There was a kitchen with hot foods as well. Let me tell you something about the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful and when it came to serving food, it was just perfect. The bartenders and barmaids were a joy to talk with and learn the history of the place. There were some shirts, sweatshirts and many other items that you can purchase. This is a place to really enjoy friends and family. It's very roomy inside, outside on the porch and the yard and the pavilion- JUST EVERYWHERE!!! You can tell it was a local favorite because when our event was pretty much over, many people started coming in. Just loved this brewery.

Let's start with their beautiful setting. It's on a hilltop overlooking Keuka Lake. Beautiful place for the wedding I attended there this past weekend. The owner was super friendly (and has the cutest little dog) as was everyone else working there. Lots of seating on the deck outside of the old barn along with plenty of picnic tables scattered about. For the wedding we also used the covered pavilion and smaller private bar located behind it. There were plenty of lawn games for everyone to enjoy. The beers. Well personally I only tried their IPA and a pale ale. Not sure what they were called but both tasted really good. Would love to go back and maybe get a flight to try some more. I'd definitely recommend stopping here to try some of their beers while enjoying the beautiful view. 2021-140

This is always a must stop when we take the trip to Keuka! Great views, great beer & super friendly staff. A lot of outdoor seating! Also have some good options for their merch. Highly recommend.

We visited a three breweries on our short trip to the Finger Lakes, and Abandon Brewing was the favorite. Beautiful views and location aside, the beer was spectacular. We tasted the Abbey Ale, the Peppercorn Saison, the Coffee Blonde, the Brown Porter, and the Barrel Aged Barleywine, and there's not a single one I wouldn't recommend. The Coffee Blonde rivals my favorite local coffee beer, and the Peppercorn Saison was incredible - one of the best saisons I've had in a while. The beers exceeded my expectations, and they paired well with their pepperoni pizza. Add in sunshine, a breeze, and beautiful view of Keuka...what more could you want? They do seem to host private events, so just check before you show up.

Love this place and everything about it!! Location is beautiful, absolutely stunning views. Beers and wine available, we always end up buying a 4pack and bottle of wine for home! Old restored barn where the bar is, looks like you can have a small wedding there too. Can't go wrong visiting this place!

Not only did Abandon Brewing have great brews, amazing views, and delicious wood fired pizza, but the customer service is exceptional. I left my water bottle (that had stickers from all of my travels) on the back deck. I was thinking I would just forget it, but I thought they *might* still have it. When I called the next day, they had not only saved the bottle but they mailed it back to me. The person who answered the phone was so polite and helpful. I hope you all go to support decent and honest people!!

Dropped by in a whim on a gorgeous fall day. We lucked out being able to watch a gorgeous wedding reception that had been beautifully decorated with rustic touches. Service was friendly and efficient.

Beautiful scenic place with great charcuterie and of course great beer and they have other drinks that are amazing. Plenty of room to play cornhole or other games they have set out for you.People

Dude this place is awesome. The view can't be beat. The beers are delicioso and they have quite the variety (IPA, DIPA, darks, sour, etc.). They do flights for $2 per sample, and they fill growlers and mini growlers. They also sell crowlers. Why aren't you here drinking beer right now??

Every year when we visit the Finger Lakes we Stop at Abandon. Beer selections are always amazing, and the scene can not be beat.

Favorite brewery partner.

A very nice view of Keuka Lake from their deck. Food was very good. Could use a bartender or two more, but aside from that a very nice spot.

The brewery has a large open lawn with plenty of tables, benches, and a variety of games to keep things lively--cornhole, dice games, a safe plastic axe-throwing game, giant connect four outside and various table games inside. It's a perfect spot to relax and hang out, whether with friends, family, or pets. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially to our dogs (they even brought out free biscuits, which was such a nice touch). We sampled a flight of their beers and tried the chicken & waffle bites were delicious! The food menu is more "munchies style" but everything we had was fresh and tasty, a great complement to the drinks. Stag Brewing combines a fun, laid-back vibe with good beer, good food, and great hospitality. Highly recommend stopping here if you're exploring Seneca Lake or just looking for a relaxed, pet-friendly brewery experience.

Skip to the end to see my rating scale…read more Climbing Bines was one of seven breweries we visited on our recent trip to the FLX region, specifically Seneca Lake. To be consistent with my rating scale I really had to think hard about this one because there are quite a few good breweries right around Watkins Glen. When I asked myself if I'd be willing to drive 30 minutes to bypass a couple of other breweries to get there the answer was yes - depending on the weather. The tap room has the earthy feel that I find comfortable, it has a really nice outdoor seating areas, and its super dog friendly. Although there are some better beers close by, Climbing Bines gets bonus points from me for the ambiance and scenery. It really is a relaxing and aesthetically pleasing place. Don't get me wrong, the beers are OK, but I'd mostly drive a bit to hang out there for an evening if it's sunny and if there's a food truck. My rating scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

It is big with lots of outdoor space. It has two event spaces (one enclosed) and often has food trucks. The website recommends bringing chairs on the weekend, because they have more space than seating. One thing to note about the beers is that some are made with ingredients from other farms. On the menu, those are marked as "Pando" (I don't remember what that stands for). Wineries in the Finger Lakes region have wine trail markers. I hope the breweries will advocate for something similar. Those markers could help more people discover the growing number of breweries in the Finger Lakes.

We had the chance to try some great beers, and one unique experience stood out: mixing two beers together, a concept similar to a blend in the wine world. As the bartender put it, "It's a game we like to play." On tap, they had a solid lineup: 1. Hector Logger - A traditional lager (4.9% ABV) 2. Goatmaster Kölsch - A crisp Kölsch (5.1% ABV), which I tried and really enjoyed 3. RedBeard - A Red Ale (5% ABV), a reliable go-to beer 4. Cream Ale - A bit different at 6.7% ABV, more robust than the typical lower-ABV versions 5. Golden Crush - A hazy IPA (5.1% ABV) that had nice fruit-forward notes, but not overpowering 6. X IPA - An Imperial IPA (7.8% ABV) Mosaic! Mosaic! - A Pale Ale (5.2% ABV) that followed the traditional pale ale profile and was very enjoyable 7. Goatmeal Stout - An Oatmeal Stout (8.1% ABV) Then came the blends--something I hadn't seen much of before. The only one I tried was 1. Goat Juice, a 50/50 mix of Hazy IPA and Kölsch (5.1% ABV). It was bursting with amazing flavors, the best of both worlds. Some of their other blends included: 2. Red X - A mix of Red Ale and Imperial IPA 3. Goatgasm - A Kölsch and IPA blend 4. Headbutt - A Stout and Cream Ale combo I tend to gravitate toward Hazies, Kölsches, and Pale Ales, so this place hit all the right notes for me. I can't wait to come back and see what new creations they have on tap next time!
