Came in to celebrate my daughter passing her drivers license test with some rolled ice cream. It was our first time trying rolled ice cream so we were super excited and I have to say we were not disappointed with the flavors and texture of the rolled ice cream. We got chocolate brownie crunch, apple pie and no tell banana. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the location and they offer indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are a little high but portions are big enough to share, I would also recommend maybe getting some to go lids. Recommend and definitely will be back. read more

This place is a touristy coffee shop. Trying to be hip, and cool. A social place for high school and college kids hanging out "doing hw" or just catching up. Also a place for anyone in general to enjoy. What I appreciate about this place is that the woody atmosphere is nice. With the dark wooden paneling and black espresso machines, it works. It has a nice feeling to it. But I feel this is a novelty place. Well, it is. It's in downtown Clovis. So I have to expect that. The staff was ok. Now the coffee. I ordered the black cold brew coffee. No added anything, just coffee and ice. And it was $4.32. The coffee, to be honest, wasn't smooth or crisp or anything. It was kinda watery. I am kinda disappointed on how it tastes. Especially for $4. You'd expect something more special for that price. And to me, it was subpar. I got no aftertones or anything from the coffee. The more I drink, the more I taste water from it. I don't feel any caffeine or anything. I guess my gripe is being over priced for it, but then again I'm at a touristy district. So it makes sense. Maybe I got the wrong thing? They do rolled ice cream here, but going to a coffee shop, you'd expect that coffee would be ok, but I guess not. Or they make fancy drinks better? I've been looking for a solid alternative to chain coffee places that dominate Fresno. This is definitely one option I have. The owners seem knowledgeable about coffee & its preparation & will take the time to answer customer's questions about coffee preparation & the difference in taste. Customer service: 5/5, I really couldn't ask for better service the 2 times I've been. They really listen to what the customer wants & they moved a patio chair inside for me. They have a beautiful back patio that is dog-friendly when the weather is nice. The only suggestion would be to change out the bar stool indoor table for a table with normal seats at a normal height. I know the space is very tight inside but this would make it more accessible for customers with disabilities to sit inside. Again the owners did change out a seat when requested but otherwise, bar stools are the only option here. Do go here to try the coffee (they make a yummy strong flavored latte) & the rolled ice cream. You won't be disappointed but you'll be sorry that you didn't try it earlier. read more

Two Cities is a little hidden gem in Old Town Clovis. The shop is very small. They also have a small seating outside. Currently with Covid-19, this is a walk up and order coffee shop only. I come here 90% for their coffee beans only. Two Cities roast their own coffee beans in small batches. When you purchase their coffee bean bags, the date roasted is on written on the bag. At the time of this review, each coffee bean bag costs $15 a bag. If you look at the size, then it very expensive compared to the supermarket or Costco/Sams Club coffee bean bags. However, I enjoy knowing that it's freshly roasted within a couple days of me purchasing it. This makes a huge difference for me when I make my pour over coffees at home. When you make a pour over, you can see the oils coming off of the grounded beans along with the gases from the grounds bubbling up. Most of all, the aroma smells different from a supermarket purchased beans. Overall, if you want the most for your money, this is not the place. But if you want freshly grounded coffee in small batches, and quality, then come here. I love it. read more

Whenever I am downtown, I come here to get my cappuccino fix now. It is consistently made properly, and tastes fantastic. I highly recommend. I love ice cream! I did not know this place existed until last night and it's delicious. It's mostly a fun experience if you've never had rolled ice cream before because it's mesmerizing just to watch people make your ice cream. Flavors looked great. I got the blackberry and my friend got the horchata. Blackberry was fresh and real blackberries, topped with whipped cream, and drizzled with honey. The Horchata was slightly nutty in taste and just the right amount of sweetness. Good amount for 1-2 people in each serving. For 6.50, I think it's pretty reasonably priced. They have four stations to make your ice cream so the wait isn't too bad. The employees there work hard to make your ice cream presentable for instagram. I also like that this place serves coffee. The location attracts an older crowd which is nice because sometimes I feel awkward at places where it's all teens. There's a lot of seating available and a few games available to play while eating. The aesthetic of this is very SF hipster if that makes any sense with wood furniture and succulents. Cute place and I'm looking forward to coming back! read more

Dropped by at 8pm for some spontaneous rolled ice cream and wow best rolled ice cream ever. According to the very friendly staff, it was unusual for a Monday to have such a long wait. We waited maybe 45 min for our ice cream, but was definitely worth it. My friend and I ordered the penguin latte - amazing. They put in one whole shot of espresso and then drizzle some chocolate inside while they roll it up x.x yummmm. This joint is way better than Bay area rolled ice cream (icicles). The cafe was much smaller than I'd expected, there were maybe only 1 large table inside, a large table outside, and then a row of seats. We took the ice cream and ate it in our car instead. Their coffee is amazing. The first time I went it was closed inside but they had adorable window service and was delicious! I went today and the interior is beautiful. This is THE spot to get coffee in the area. The staff is amazing and very friendly. They have some unique coffee drinks and have so many different options that will make any coffee snob rejoice. They also roast their own beans. In the summertime they have some amazing iced teas for those of you that don't drink coffee. They also have some breakfast food options which are really good. A lot of their pastries are made by Nutmeg & Thyme, which offer a lot of gluten free and vegan options. The selection is always unique and tasty. If you're lucky, you'll find the magical apple fritter that appears from time to time. Coffee was A+. Got a latte and it was hot and delicious. Also, a hot vanilla drink was on the menu and my daughter was so happy to see that. She's not big on chocolate and rarely do we go somewhere where she has a hot drink option. Rolled ice cream was a cool experience. My daughter was so psyched that she got to see them put it all together right in front of her. She got the apple pie flavor and she LOVED it. I tried some, completely delicious. Tastes just like apple pie. My husband and I shared the cookies and cream style flavor. It was pretty great. My only complaint is that there are no sizing options. My husband and I forced ourselves to finish the one we shared and my daughter brought hers home and ate it periodically over a couple of days. There's no chance I could have eaten a whole order by myself. This is really unfortunate because when it comes to sweets my husband and I have very different preferences, so we wouldn't be able to try a variety of flavors. I'm sure for most people this won't be too much of an issue though. They were super friendly, and took the time to explain their menu, and help my friend &I choose our drinks(first timers, but we'll definitely be back). Not only that, but they were genuinely attentive throughout our time there. Drinks... I got the 16oz Penguin latte (hot), and it was really good! It had sweet hints of white chocolate, but also a rich chocolaty kick. It might be my go-to there from now on. Stumbled on this place when I was in the area for business. It's cute and the people were very friendly. I had the chili mocha. It was delicious. Not overly sweet. Perfectly balanced. They had other flavors that were interesting that I might want to try but I really liked what I had so not sure I'll try others. Although I am not a coffee connoisseur per say I do have a strong preference to local businesses and this is definitely my go to. I've tried a variety of their lattes(white choco, mocha, amber, 608, and tres leches lattes) but my favorite has been their iced caramel. It has just the right amount of sweetness for me. They seemed inviting at first, but upon ordering the girl at the register gave me attitude when i asked if one of the drinks had coffee, making sure it did. We then received our iced coffee and my mom and I came to the conclusion that there coffee is nothing special! I got a penguin and I don't even taste the chocolate or white chocolate, it tastes like a vanilla. Then my mom got a mocha iced coffee and there was no chocolate taste, so when she went back and asked for more, the woman rolled her eyes and yelled to the other girl with some attitude that this person wants more chocolate, all while rolling their eyes. I adore this little shop. The decor is so welcoming and warm. They have additional seating in the back and some word games scattered on some table tops. The Oreo rolled ice cream will run you about $6 but it was good and I didn't even end up finishing it. The apple fritter wasn't dry and was good. I didn't like the Nutella latte, it didn't taste like Nutella at all! But it was pretty. Probably will get the penguin iced latte my sister got next time. The staff was helpful & the shop was clean. I'll admit I haven't tried any of their drinks, BUT their rolled ice cream is the best!!! I have tried the Cookies and cream, matcha, and the thin mint ice cream. The matcha is by far the best of the three on my opinion, and worth the extra $1.50 Btw rolled ice creams are usually $6.50, but some other ones are a little more. Though I'm sure their lease is astronomical, this coffee place got into about each one of my pet peeves. Three to four dollar coffees, check. Farm team service, check. 'I'm going to bring your stuff to you' says server who takes our order. Then not communicating it to the rest of the staff, I get to pick it up. Getting to hear the baristas top jams at can't-hold-a-cell-phone-call volume; and the barista, who though their team is already accountable for two medium flubs, manages to wear lemon face for an hour and a half. Now I'm not auditing people's faces expressions but I regretted leaving your team two and a half bucks tip so you get to hear this [ If future self saw you pulling espresso and foaming milk, you would then realize contrary to what you now think, this is the last easy job you will ever have] Bonus points for wheelchair accessibility maze and the front door that rejects wheelchairs-presumably strollers too. I tried this little gem of a coffee shop yesterday. I love that they have a service window as I was walking my dogs. The cashier was very patient and knowledgeable for all of my questions. Recent started coming here with my fiancee. Big fans of the vanilla cardamom latte. Also enjoy the chili mocha quite a bit. Haven't tried any of the sweets, but I do enjoy the coffee, the decor, and the comfort here. Staff has always been friendly and quick. The owner brought my coffee in a mug and explained to me why the one side of the mug was higher than the other was to be able to smell the coffee while you drink it, which I thought was really interesting. The staff are friendly and the service is good. The place is cozy and warm, a great ambience for a good conversation with family and friends.
