I had a great experience using Two Brothers Roofing. They were responsive, transparent, and seemed fairly priced. They appear to have done a great job on a small to moderate roof repair from a leaking easement on my home. They were very responsive from the Yelp inquiry and sent out someone a day or two later who seemed experienced and forthright (Dario). He was able to immediately diagnose the source of my water entry (something another company had missed or tried to upsell on diagnosing it a different way). He was willing to walk me through what he was seeing on the roof and also took photos clearly showing the issue. While he was up there, I brought two other minor issues I'd been meaning to take care of and he was happy to take photos and add them to the quote (cracked vent seal and small area of entry into the attic). They put together a formal quote and proposal within a few days and I was able to talk with one of the owners (Jason) on the phone to discuss the questions I had. He was willing to work with me on alternative (less expensive) options on one of the repairs I was requesting and walked me through the pros/cons. Felt like he really understood what I was looking for and took the time with me, even though I know it was a small repair for them. They completed the work in one day, within a week of deciding to move forward. Payment was easy and online with an immediate receipt. Price seemed fair --- bay area expensive, but worth not doing the work myself for this situation. I'd look to them first for any future work. read more

Initially Two brothers roofing seemed very promising. I contacted them about getting a quote for a roof replacement. They reached out within 48hrs and we scheduled an appt. A very nice and seemingly knowledgable gentleman came out and looked at our roof, we talked about what we wanted done, he told me he contacted the office with his assessment and they would contact me with a quote the next day. That was Nov 11th. Today is Nov 30th. I've left 3 voicemails over the course of 20 days, and 2 emails. Nov 16th and Nov 26th. It's ok if they didn't want to do our roof, but at the very least they could have at least responded. We stayed home all day waiting for the roofer - met with him and discussed what we wanted to do. To be honest, I didn't expect to be ghosted by them. I wanted to spend the money and get a new roof, but clearly they have more business then they need. 1 Star because of the lack of professionalism. read more

We worked with Two Brothers last year to get a new roof. They did a great job. We had a lot of tricky things going on (a funky electrical job to do at the same time on the roof, preparation for solar, adding a structural diaphragm, and a tricky insulation job). Keith worked hard to understand what we wanted, and to loop us in when surprises popped up. He took the time to talk to our structural contractor to make sure they were going to do the right thing. I highly recommend Two Brothers Roofing for all aspects of roofing demands. I originally hired them a couple of decades ago to inspect and replace some deteriorating shingles another contractor had re-roofed my East Bay home with in ~1990. The diagnosis was the shingles were failing prematurely and Two Brothers offered to help claim the prorated refund from the shingle manufacturer. In 2024, after soliciting bids from multiple roofing contractors (~10) from all over the SF Bay Area, I chose Two Brothers to replace my roof prior to having solar panels installed. They were very willing to coordinate with my solar contractor in whatever way I wanted or felt was needed to insure a well-integrated energy-efficiency project. I believe that their long-term, established business in the East Bay allowed for lower overhead costs that produced the most economical bid. And finally, when I observed my solar contractor's work had damaged some of my new shingles, Two Brothers came back for a reinspection, documented the problem areas with photos, and negotiated and billed the solar contractor directly for the repairs. All in all, I've only had great experiences with Ken and Keith and the entire Two Brothers' crew. read more

This is my first time using this company to perform work on a roof. Most of the work was completed and they followed through with a clear report. For the work that was done, they seemed thorough. However, the overall experience was a little mixed. The pictures that were originally sent were okay, but wasn't labelled so it was hard to tell what picture was what given I am not a roof contractor. However, after requesting for a report, they did prepare one that included labelled pictures. I was disappointed after I found out from a different contractor (whom I had to hire to clean my roof after) that they did not clean out the gutters as I had requested. Also, during the process, I did need to follow-up multiple times to receive certain information. I am giving them a four star rating, because I do think they tried to deliver where they could. However, I did wish it was a little easier to communicate and I didn't need to keep asking the same questions again. read more

I have been using Two Brothers Roofing for a few years now to perform an annual inspection of my roof. This year, I also had a repair required, and some work to extend my downspouts. My request to extend the downspouts was a bit quirky on my part, as I was worried about the aesthetics of the downspouts across my roof, but I wanted function over form. Well they did a really nice clean job, and the end result turned out great. I ended up with both function and form! I have always been happy with their work; the various technicians that I have met are good dudes, very polite and professional. The office staff is very good, and they always communicate very well and timely. I have even received calls from the owner when I have requested, in order to discuss my questions. We needed some roof repairs and maintenance. One vendor (listed on Yelp but with no verified reviews) said we needed a new roof for the damaged part that would cost $5000. Yikes! Then we called Two Brothers. They said our roof just needed some cleaning and have the flashing screwed down and their quote was MUCH less and included checking the gutters too. We consulted with a third vendor who said the much same as TB but since their quote was a few hundred dollars higher, we went with Two Brothers. After we signed the contract they came out immediately and did the work in one afternoon. How many times does that happen where contractors do great work, everything goes smoothly and is on time and budget? Wow! Everything went great. They were fast and we beat the upcoming rains that weekend. The only note I would make is Keith initially said the workers come on a Friday but they showed up Thursday. While we were thrilled and delighted to have the work done a day sooner (BEFORE the rains came!) but I would say that if timing is important to you and you want to be there when they actually do the work then you might want to be sure that Keith knows that. I was VERY HAPPY with Two Brothers work and would use them again in a minute. read more

I had a leaking skylight, prompting me to call Two Brothers Roofing. Now when I made the appointment, I set the expectation that I would attempt to fix the issue myself and call back in the morning to confirm the appointment or cancel. The person I spoke with agreed to this approach. Because I was able to resolve the issue myself, I promptly called and canceled the appointment as promised (with plenty of time to spare before the appointment, mind you). Now, I had been working from home on the day of the (would be) appointment, attending to meetings like I normally do. When I walked outside for some air, I saw a truck in my driveway. I immediately felt bad because someone obviously had not relayed the cancelation. Being caught up with meetings, I also most likely didn't hear him at the door. That feeling all went away, however, after the rep laid his frustration into me, which was backed by his condescending attitude and questioning. After wishing me a sarcastic "Good day" with a phony smile, he literally sped out of my driveway and down my street in pedal-to-the-metal fashion. Despite my need to replace my skylight quickly, I can say that I would not give this company my business based on this interaction. If this is how they treat potential customers, I want no part of it. read more

Professional and kind! Very fair pricing! We had our new roof done a little over a year ago. They were understanding when we had to push back service. Workers are kind and professional. The guy who installed our gutters was also very nice. We were just moving in and he even offered a hand carrying something when he saw I was struggling (pre-covid). They also did repairs for us when a tree fell on our home! They were quick to get on site and assess and address any damages. Over a year has gone by and whenever we run into any issues I send a quick email and Keith/Kenneth are fast to respond and send someone out to check things out. They did a wonderful job with our roof. Our realtor recommenced them and their bid was competitive. They were even open to exploring different insulation materials that were hard to obtain. There was a small issue with one of the new spouts that the inspectors made them put in. They quickly fixed them at no extra charge and even repaired a pre-existing leak in a downspout that they did not have. In the end, the roof is doing really well 1 year in and we love the insulation. We had a great experience with Two Brothers, whom we hired to replace our composite roof. Their price was very fair, and the crew worked quickly and safely. The crew also left our yard and our neighbor's yard very clean after removing our old roof. An added bonus was that Two Brothers repaired the dry rot we had for less than what the pest company wanted to charge us. In terms of logistics, working with Keith was efficient, as he returns emails promptly and gave us some good resources to help us decide what color roof to select. I called 4 roofing companies to replace some shingles that had blown off during our last big storm. Two Brothers were the only ones to call me back. Well, one company did a week later. Keith set up an appointment for Wednesday, but said he would try to get someone out on Monday. I went out and someone came by an assessed the damage. Keith sent me an email with his bid. I called him and accepted and he had a guy come out on Tuesday to do the work. They were very professional and friendly and did a great job. He even billed me. I saw these guys working on a roof across the street. I need a new roof so I asked them to give me a bid. Glad I did. They were $4000.00 less then the bid I got from Home Depot. And I liked the work they did across the street so I gave them the job. WOW. 2 days and they were done. Removed the old roof, repaired the slight damage from dry rot,and installed a new roof in 2 days. It looks great. Keith always kept me informed on what was going on. The roofers were great, professional and answered all my questions. Did a great cleanup job and even took some extra cardboard that I needed to get rid of. These guys are professional, curteous and HONEST!!!. Not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive. I think their ability to stay competitive is because they know construction. I received about 5 bids on my house, and they were all very expensive based on the fact that the bidding roofers wanted to replace my redwood sheething with plywood - a lot of extra work and money. Two Brothers were like "Are you kidding me?" This sheathing is in great shape, use it! Day one: a swarm shows up and withing a couple of hours my roof was gone (sheathing still there, and it did look good!). A little later, a truck load a "roof" stuff was placed on my roof. A couple of days later, the tig welder was at my place with the rolls of gutter material and they were done/gone. The only glitch was a beam that was not supporting the roof as well as they would like, so they re-enforced the roof so it did not sag (a problem with old bungalows). I love these guys.
