While the first issue was a complex issue and could not find resolution with the assigned technician, I did not have a good experience with Jeff Grogan. At the end of their diagnosis, I received a call saying they were not able to replicate my issue and they had neglected to assess my brakes at all. As for the labor value of replacing my handbrake assembly, I was quoted $500 for the part and labor cost: a price that is much higher than what the prices returned by Internet searches.

I turned around put my window down didn't see anything, headed back home got out went around to look at the tire to find out tire was fine had a big dent now and back light was hanging out and wouldn't go back in because of the dent. Called around places to try to get in to get quotes in Fredericksburg and they were booked out for like 2 weeks or more. Some places didn't even call back. Found this business and Derek said bring it in and I can provide a Qoute. Got it in he was looking at it and his Qoute was $1,500 to get it fixed with a new light. I discussed fixing some other scratches and damages around the truck and we walked around with him looking. He said ok, He can throw in the back door hitch too. For that Qoute I said he's got a deal. He even showed me a vehicle he was fixing at that moment too with the hitch door damage like mine, showing me the process he was doing to fix that other truck hitch door. I said i can leave it with him today. He had me pay a down payment of $500 and the rest when I pick up, took him maybe around 2weeks. A week and a half maybe. Can't remember to well. But as soon as it was done I came in to look at his masterpiece and it was terrific so clean so nice so smooth with new paint too. Derek is the man! We dropped the car off Sunday night, left the key in a secure lock box. No fuss no muss. The lady called before 8.30 the next day to tell us what needed doing and the price. It was so reasonable. Have them the okay to proceed with the work and it was all finished by 10.30! So efficient were they that we missed their call and didn't actually pick the car up until the next day! I just so happened to catch one of the chain parts stores just prior to closing; they verified my alternator was bad; and (thank the Lord) had one in stock. The young man at the counter suggested a decent hotel in town, and advised: "Now in the morning, you be at Altman's Tire when they open at 8; they'll take care of you." Sure enough, Altman's owner opened the doors just before 8 a.m. the next morning and had me on the road by 10 a.m. The price charged was cheaper than what I would have been charged back home and I've had zero issues with the work they performed.
