Have to give them negative rating due to bait and switch on price I was given for a basic…read moremaintenance service. Ed increased the price after my bike was in the shop after we agreed on price. I came in for a valve check or possible adjustment after getting multiple price costs from other shops. Other shops told me about the same prices Ed told me at around 3 hours of labor for check and extra hour added for adjustment. Me and Ed agreed to 3 hours labor. I took my motorcycle all the way down about 40 miles to his shop. Two days later he called me and told me it was 6 hours of labor instead of the 3 hours labor we agreed on. He said because they guy took a longer time to get to the valves. (Ummm ok, Everyone quotes this at about 3 hours labor, it is not my fault the guy took twice as long to do it). After coming down to pick up my bike, i told him i was unhappy that he doubled the cost after we agreed on price , and also he never called to tell me it would be more and ask. He said he will work with me and take off ONLY ONE HOUR LABOR LOL. So he added on 2 hours labor for no reason and didn't ask me and told me he's "working with me" to reduce costs lol. I should have gone to the other bike shops. I will never return. On top of that, i made an appointment 3 weeks in advance to drop it off on a certain day so that i had transportation to pick it up the next day. The next day i was in route to pick it up and they said it wouldn't be ready that day. (So what was the point of me scheduling 3 weeks in advance?! LOL). It was a big burden on my and my schedule to pick up the following day. ON TOP OF THAT, after i got my bike home and parked it i noticed a screw jammed completely into my rear tire. It wasn't there before taking to his shop, i know because i worked on it a few days prior and haven't driven except to she shop since. Its highly unlikely i got a screw in the tire from the highway driving there and back, more likely it was a screw laying on the floor of his shop. OFCOURSE he didn't take responsibility and instead blamed it on the highway home. Save yourself the headache. He will bait you in with one price, then change it without telling you to put more of your hard earned cash into his pocket. It is unjust. Turned 3 hours of labor into 6 lol.

They replaced the starter as soon as it arrived and let me know immediately. Total time was less than a week. Price was reasonable and email invoice matched the original quote. Highly recommend and I will be using them now for all my UTV service.

I also wanted a second set of eyes to check all my work and inspect everything once in a while, so I dropped my bike off at Fairfax Cycles. The main service I requested was to replace the front fork and exchange the fork and brake oils. I bought the Ohlins fork from Partszilla and dropped it off at the shop. I was missing some other small parts needed, and they were able to order it for me. I had a budget I wanted to stick to, and they were able to work with me to meet my budget and the services I needed. They were very flexible. For the amount of work done on my bike, I'd say the price was fair. The place is very busy all year round, though. Please set your expectations. You'll likely have to wait to get serviced. You'll also need to pick up ASAP. I felt good about all the services performed on the bike. The installed Ohlins fork makes the bike so much better. Will I come back, a definite yes.

I was a bit intimidated to walk in as I dont look like a stereotypical motorcyclist but the gentlemen was super friendly and fast with helping me. I brought in a broken clutch lever that I didnt have the right tools to fix it myself. He was super quick to fix it for me and didnt even charge me for the quick fix! Would def come back if I need anything to fix for my bike!

It's been a few years since I had my own bike, but when I heard about the new Honda Rebel 1100, I…read moredecided it was time to get back on two wheels. I contacted a couple local dealerships to ask about the availability in mid-February, since I knew the supply would be limited once the bike was released. John emailed me right away when one hit the showroom floor, so I traveled down to check it out. I immediately turned around as soon as I stepped foot in the building, as so many of the staff members and customers were not wearing any masks or had them tucked under their chins. (Again, this was in mid-February 2021, before the majority of people had access to a vaccine.) However, we had our N95s, so we decided to try to keep away from other customers and ask any employees who would be working with us to mask up. Thankfully, John put on his mask when we reentered, so we met with him. Originally, I thought I wanted the black Rebel, but the one they had in their showroom was already sold, so I took a look at the available red one. The deep merlot color really started to grow on me the longer I looked at it, so I checked out all the aspects of the bike. Since it was such a new model, everyone was learning about its features together, including the phone charging port under the seat. As I had not planned to buy the bike that day, I had to go home to get my checkbook after putting down a deposit. (They don't have options for credit or digital transactions if you aren't financing your purchase. It's cash or check.) However, they did a great job of getting the bike prepped in the meantime so we could take it home. I was also able to pre-order accessories, like heated grips and a front fairing. (The fairing is still on back order, but I know there are supply issues throughout the country right now.) I'm really thankful to John for letting me know about the bike as soon as it was available and being respectful about wearing his mask around us. It would be great if additional payment forms were available when paying outright, but I know many people typically finance. It's a nice showroom floor and they seemed to be very knowledgeable about all the items they sell.

A lot of local dealers employ this scam which is why more experienced buyers end up at West Virginia dealerships where they don't pile on the extra charges and are happy to have your business.
