Food shows up after 15 minutes, and the bill is just over $28. They forgot the brat, the burger was only as thick as the slice of unmelted cheese on it, and was drenched in ketchup...slid apart as soon as I picked it up. Fries were okay, shakes were pretty good. All said and done, nothing to get excited about. We'll probably never be back. Overpriced, not great food. Save your money and go someplace else.

Then we waited... and waited... and waited some more. It took quite a while to get the drinks and the croissant sandwich. Then it took another long while to get the grilled cheese. At one point I asked if they were still working on it (it had been so long that I thought they might have forgotten). They apologized again and explained that the griddle they were using (a panini press) just takes forever. We weren't in a hurry, but I noticed some other customers who were visibly upset. The Chai Latte was excellent, as was the Harvest Chai (an ice cream drink). The Chicken Salad Croissant was also very good -- fresh, with a good amount of chicken and not too much mayonnaise. Nice, crispy textures. The Grilled Cheese was good, but the bread wasn't very "grilled" (maybe a limitation of the panini press?). We didn't get dessert, but they offered a few small samples of the Chocolate Shoppe ice cream -- very tasty. Lots to like about this place, but the wait times were way too long. :(

There's no indoor dining here, but you can take your order to-go and enjoy it at one of the tables overlooking Lake Fowler (though I do wonder what happens in winter or bad weather!). There were two of us, and we each ordered a special Hot Fudge Sundae -- one Swiss and the other Turtle. We were served by a friendly young woman who was helpful and efficient. Our sundaes arrived quickly and were just as delicious (maybe even more so) than what we remembered. The hot fudge was luxurious, the caramel rich, the pecans nicely roasted and salted, and the ice cream creamy and smooth -- just the perfect combination. To top it all off, there was whipped cream and a cherry. Can't beat that! So glad we stopped in -- it was a great reminder of how good a small, local ice cream shop can be.

I would say they were efficient, but not especially chatty or friendly. Atmosphere: The place is well designed. It's easy to figure out the process for making your own dessert, and there are lots of different areas for sitting. Big windows let in plenty of natural light and make the space feel open and inviting. One thing that really stood out was the number of signs mentioning that the premises are being monitored by cameras. Even in the bathroom, there was a sign saying that if teenagers are suspected of vandalism, the cameras may be used to identify them. It made me wonder if this location has been dealing with issues involving younger customers. There wasn't any trouble while we were there, but all of the signs definitely made an impression. I love how the machines have pre mixed flavor or you can mix whatever flavors of your choice. They also frequently have a dole pineapple flavor very similar (better in my opinion) to the famous dole whip sold at Disney. It's self serve and there's a number of toppings from cereal, gummies, cookie doughs, and sauces like peanut butter, marshmallow, caramel and hot fudge. Pricing is based on the weight, at the register you weigh your fro yo(s) and pay based on the weight. Not sure what the prices is per ounce but I paid $4.98 for a medium sized cup (the green cup shown in the picture). I also love how portions of their proceeds (or all I'm not sure) on Tuesdays are donated to selected local schools. Give it a visit if you're in the area, you surely won't regret it.
