Not sure what all the low reviews on this place are all about, but Twin Dragon Carry-Out was pretty tasty! Their menu is extensive, offering apps, soup, fried rice, lo mein, chow mein, chop suey, chow mei fun, egg foo young, curry dishes, garlic sauce dishes, broccoli dishes, Szechuan/Hunan dishes, sweet & sour dishes, house specialties, and lunch specials that are available everyday besides Sunday. I had heard that this place is the go-to for egg rolls, so we decided to check them out on a weekend; we ordered: +a Pork Roll - rather than the use of ground pork, there were actually char siu-like chunks of pork throughout; there could have been more meat, as it was more cabbage heavy +a Shrimp Roll - had whole deveined shrimp throughout the egg roll (about 2 or so?) +a Steak Cheese Roll - definitely tasted like a steak and cheese sub, but in an egg roll form, with an addition of shredded cabbage +Shrimp Fried Rice - there is a small and a large size available, in which I opted for the small; the fried rice slightly has a sweet taste to it; it had generous amounts of deveined shrimp, which was great! Definitely more on the greasier side, it tasted much better with an addition of extra soy sauce and chili oil +Chicken Fried Rice - there is a small and a large size available, in which we opted for the small The egg rolls were definitely the star - everything was made-to-order, so the rolls were piping hot. I definitely liked that it had contained a higher ratio of the cabbage, and adding the duck sauce and/or the hot mustard jazzed it up a bit. The egg rolls were crispy and on the larger size, and we wished we had gone for the double order rather than the single order! Definitely returning for those egg rolls! Staff were friendly and efficient. They have a minimum for CC, so try to bring cash as well. Note that this place is only a carry-out, so you can call for a to-go order and/or place an order in person. There are a few chairs inside for waiting. Limited street parking available in the area. +tasty egg rolls! +friendly service +limited street parking available in the area

One of my favorite places for giant egg rolls. We ordered shrimp and chicken egg rolls which as you can see are larger than my hand.

Most recent menu as of 1/5/22. Notice price difference compared to other menus posted.

Normally get Pork Rice but ordered the Chicken Fry Rice for the first time for our daughter. It was very tasty. Much better than I expected. We both enjoyed it lots and will definitely have again soon. Yum

Cooked to order. No steam table. I like that! Typical, but likable neighborhood carryout!

I only order wings or shrimp and broccoli. Always prepared the same no complaints. Not a sit down restaurant. Service is direct and quick.

One of DC's best carry outs! Make sure you get a egg roll one of each unless you're allergic to shrimp. Been going since I was a teenager.

Came here for lunch with a friend on a weekend. We ate family style and ordered the scallion…read morepancakes, the spicy sesame paste tofu, the spicy oil wonton pork, the chive and pork dumplings and the sesame balls (filled with red bean paste). Total (not including tip) came out to approximately $49. What's Hot - Menu. Excellent. It's also written in Chinese in addition to English. For those of us familiar with traditional ethnic Chinese food, a menu written in Chinese is a good sign. They have traditional Taiwanese and Chinese food like scallion pancakes, sesame balls, beef noodle soup, soup dumplings, etc... Very good variety and there appears to be something for everyone, possibly with the exception of vegan dishes.. - Quality. Pretty good. Their scallion pancake was soft, not too oily, and not too salty. I prefer the scallion pancake to have been a bit more thick and flaky, but that's my personal preference. To be fair, still delicious. Their chive and pork dumplings definitely had a delicious chive flavor. Substantial and the wrapper was not too thick. Their spicy sesame paste tofu had a good flavor and substantive. The chili oil wontons were not too spicy and had a good flavor. Again, my personal preference would have been for the dumplings to have been more substantive, but still pretty decent. - Service. Pretty good. It appears most, if not all their staffers, speak Chinese (Mandarin), which was also helpful, because I specifically ordered in Chinese. I asked them about the spice level, because I wanted to ensure it would not be too spicy for my friend. - Price. Pretty good value for menu and portions. - Location. It's pretty easy to find. Also within convenient walking distance to the Silver Spring metro. The inside space is pretty good. Tables can seat a minimum of 2, all the way up to 8. What's Not - Quality. The sesame balls are smaller than I expected. They're the rough approximation of a ping pong ball, maybe smaller. I was disappointed, because I like sesame balls that are substantial. - Service. I specifically asked for soup spoons, because we were eating dumplings. Instead, they gave me regular spoons. Not all the dishes come out in the order you hope. For example, main dishes may come out before the appetizers. This is going to be dependent on your personal preference. - Parking. There is parking near the restaurant, but it's going to be dependent on the day and time. Final Answer Worth coming back.

I think this place delivers on fast service, good food and reasonable prices. Their food comes out…read moreshortly after you order and their cuisine I actually find to be unique. I also feel like it's rare to be able to out these days and get a $12 entree where you feel like you had a good meal. Their wings, yibin spicy noodles, soup dumplings, beef noodle soup and scallion pancakes are good. There's easy parking in the garage across the street. You can also order online ahead and pick it up. Super easy. Just go directly to their website. I feel like they do takeout pretty well.

I called and placed a order for delivery at 7:45pm and a female answered, told me it should be about 70 minutes (a bit over an hour) I said that was fine and received a tracking text for my delivery driver, ETA and time frame. Almost two and a half hours go by, so I call to check the status of my order. A man picks up and tells me "oh,yeah, I don't know let me transfer you over the manager" it was the same woman who originally took my order, she must have new what I was calling for because she repeated my address without me reminding her and said "oh sorry I don't know where the driver is at." So I then asked her "should I cancel and look somewhere else to pay if you don't know where staff is,especially since our neighborhood shops close early?" And she tells me " no,no we didn't forget about you our driver is just slow getting to you" (im only 12-14mins away by car) so I say ok,I'll wait. Then i received a new order text to my phone of my order being cancelled and restarting at a new time...at this point it's very unprofessional to me as a guest as well as their business. All they had to do was be transparent and honest that they couldn't take to go orders if they're short staff or bad at communicating with driving staff. I order from them alot and this was the worst they've ever been. Usually the woman has a bad tone on the phone and i ignore it but combined with that and the lack of hospitality and care for a paying costumer, flabbergasted. so I ordered from Johnny's carry out not to far from them and it was promt and organized.

Han Palace is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in DC, and there are two main reasons why:…read morethe portions and the drinks. First, the food portions here are astronomical. I ordered the Singapore noodles, which were packed with flavor and loaded with beef, chicken, and shrimp. The portion was so big that it honestly could be split between two people. I barely put a dent in it while I was there and ended up taking most of it home and eating off it for a while afterward. But the real showstopper is the bottomless drinks. For $18, you get bottomless Mai Tais, lemon drops, and mimosas, and the best part is they do it all day, not just during brunch hours. You can pull up at 7 p.m., get dinner, and still do bottomless drinks, which is something you don't see very often. Between the massive portions, the flavor, and the all-day bottomless option, Han Palace is an easy five out of five for me. If you're in DC and haven't been here yet, this is a must-go spot.

This is a much needed addition to the Connecticut Ave corridor which lacks authentic Chinese restaurants and especially Dim Sum (brunch small plates). I hope that there are more choices like this in the near future for this surrounding area which lacks good traditional Chinese restaurants. The parking can be daunting since it still is in DC, might have a bit of a walk but that is everywhere in DC. The food was fast and had some unique choices that are not on a standard menu.
