We had never had our gutters cleaned before after moving into our house last summer. Twice as Brite came out and had a hard time because of how our downspout was altered during a renovation done by the previous owners. Word to the wise, your downspout should not have an S shape in it! Sean had to come back another day and take apart the downspout to get what must have been rotting in there for years. I'm so glad we had them come because it was horrifically clogged and leaking icky drops of nastiness onto our really nice patio and grill. It was also putting our roof at risk because nothing could drain properly. This company was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

Yes. YES. YAAAAAS. Above and beyond from moment one. Sean, the owner, got back to me freaky quick (which I later appreciated even more finding out that he was out of the country the whole time we were communicating)! He gave me an estimate but let me know honestly that it may be a little more given that he was unable to see it in person prior to the clean. The initial estimate was $250, and we ended up paying $315...very fair! Our 4000 sq ft condo is endless windows. AND we have 25 ft ceilings!! His assurance that they could clean those tall bad boys with ease was the reason I chose him among all other choices. The 2 person team, Benj (the super talented and thorough window cleaner) and Kevin (the friendly spotter who insured Benj's safety on the ladders) couldn't have been better. Benj even went way above and beyond the call of duty getting a piece of taped plastic off one of our curtain rods way up high that had been there for months because we couldn't reach it. I am an interior designer and all of our furnishings are custom, vintage, irreplaceable items and the guys treated every item in our home as if it were their own. These guys are great! Such hard workers, came on a dimes notice and actually helped us investigate the cause of a leak. He diagnosed the issue and then asked us to get a specialty company to do it so we could get it reimbursed from insurance. So in the end because even though he did a lot of work, he didnt charge us. Well Sean has been less than impressive. My husband contacted him to clean our windows in our condo building. At first, super responsive and seemed really eager to do it. We scheduled our cleaning for 5/7. Two days before, he contacted us stating his crew was sick with the flu. We rescheduled for 5/21. Like a week before, he asked if he could come on 5/20 to start the lower windows and do the upper Windows on 5/21. Now it's 5/19 and he's saying that all the windows will be done tomorrow. We thought he would have to access the upper Windows through our unit (bc that was what the guy that gave us the estimate said) so we will see if all the windows get cleaned tomorrow...update to follow. I didn't expect to write an update so soon and I didn't expect this from a professional business. After I posted this review, Sean cancelled on our building...at 920p the night before the cleaning because he didn't like what I had to say above. I have never seen a more unprofessional business owner. So I guess my intuition was right...this is an awful business! We are going to go with their competition, urban street window works. They were a little higher but I'm sure they will actually come out and clean the windows. For everyone's personal enjoyment, I've seen shotted the email from him. My husband even spoke to him on the phone & he stated he was canceling due to my Yelp review?! It was hard getting on their schedule because window washing season had already started when I first contacted them, but once set up it was an amazing, fantastic experience. First the basics -- they were on-time, unfailingly friendly, respectful of my space, and put everything back where it was. The windows absolutely gleamed! Looked even better than the day they were installed. Better yet - our entire building is covered in out of control ivy which had grown over many of the windows. I found Twice As Brite on Yelp, read all the positive reviews and decided to book him -- months ahead of time. I had house guests coming in early May and knew that's a busy time for this service. I booked with some "cushion" on the timing, given the uncertainty of spring weather. Sure enough, the first date was threatening rain; Sean was always responsive when I reached out to him via Yelp and a better date was scheduled. I had moved some breakables and furniture ahead of time, but Sean and his lone assistant worker bee showed up prepared to move anything in the way of the windows. And before he left, everything he had moved was back in place. When my guests showed up, they had views out sparkling clean windows. And clean sills! I had my windows cleaned by them and they did an outstanding job. Let me explain why I say this. They came when I wasn't home and I let my husband be in charge. I figured, "What can go wrong?" Not going I to too many details, my husband must have forgotten that there are two sides to a window and told them that the bedroom windows (5) did not need cleaning. When I came home, I was furious thinking the company was at fault but found out that the fault was with my husband. They arranged to come back and cleaned the rest of the windows. Long story short is we live in an old historical building that presents some real challenges for window washing (we're on the third story and have lots of old, big windows). Of the places I called, Sean was the only one who expressed no hesitation about, and was confident he could complete, the cleaning. He returned my phone calls in a timely manner, came to do the estimate when promised, and gave me a very fair price. We had a couple of snafus with regards to scheduling the work, but they tended to fall under the "act of god" category, and Sean was communicative and professional the entire time. I had Sean come out and give a quote to power wash the front of our condo building in Lincoln Park. It is four stories. He gave a very good - almost seemingly low - quote. We had all of the typical stains that appear on cement facades, stairs, etc. Sean and his crew came a good two weeks before he thought he could and did an unbelievable job. I kind of expected that he would only be able to get it partially cleaned. Not because of him, but I had set my own expectations low. Wow - was I wrong. The cement area areas look basically like they were installed yesterday. I simply cannot believe what an amazing job he did. A fantastic experience with Twice as Brite. Our windows rarely get cleaned at my apartment because my landlord doesn't give a hoot. So I looked at the state of the windows and thought maybe I can pool with the other tenants to get them washed. I emailed asking for availability and Sean replied back promptly with good dates. After speaking with the tenants we settled on a day and Sean's crew came out end of July to wash the windows. They were very friendly and funny even!
