Doug, the owner, was pleasant to work with and we were especially happy when he was able to accommodate our request for same-day service. He sent Philip out to do the work, and he did an incredible job cleaning the 2nd and 3rd-story windows in a newly-rented apartment that clearly had not been washed In years. They were especially challenging to clean given the build-up of accumulated dirt and grime. From the moment Philip started we could tell that he would dedicate the time and attention to detail needed to leave us with sparkling clean windows, and he did just that! He even went over a few of them a second time to make sure no spot was left unclean! We received several estimates before going with Good View. While Doug's estimate was not the lowest, we had a good feeling about his ability to provide timely and quality service, and he did just that. Had these guys come clean our gutters two days after Xmas. They were very prompt and easy to work with. Would definitely call them again.

Onse I was standing in traffic in Bucktown and saw an old truck full of ladders. At nearest home there were some guys working on ladders too - they were cleaning windows in residental home. I remembered that my home need it too, so I called to this company and made an appointment for a next week. Dug (owner) with his crew was wery accurate inside my house, they didn't leave any water drops inside and made my windows completly clean and clear. The price was good too. SCAM I saw them doing my neighbours building, so I asked them if they can do ours too. They showed up as promised but moonlighted, instead of 3 employees only 2 showed up, didn't wear their corporate t-shirt or company car. I expressed how unhappy I was, unfortunately only realized about an hour after they started as I didn't see the car. I asked for a receipt and an invoice, received a receipt for the check (issued on the company name) and was promised an invoice, never got one. I call them by phone, sent a letter requesting the invoice, for tax purpose. We receive no feedback. Total Scam ! read more

Found this company through Yelp. Dealing with the company was a great experience from start to finish. Doug the owner came to estimate out the cost. Was very honest and detailed when explaining what he could/could not do for us. We are about to put our bungalow up on the market and some of the windows were admittedly neglected. His crew was on-time and finished the entire house in one day. Their prices were fair and I think a great deal for the quality of cleaning. Honestly the windows were the cleanest I had ever seen them in the 11 years we had lived in that house. I would definitely recommend Good View to anyone that isn't up to the challenge of deep cleaning their own windows. read more

We called Doug on Saturday, and they came out on Monday to powerwash our deck. Amon did an amazing job on our deck. The wood had become grey and lifeless over the 5 years we have owned our condo, now it's a beautiful shade of brown and looks brand new. But Amon didn't stop there. He kept powerwashing stuff. He took my expensive, but very dirty, grill apart, powerwashed it, and made it look new again. That saved me hours of scrubbing. He also powerwashed the walls of our deck, some dirty chairs that have been weathered, and a few other items on our deck. Now everything looks shiny, clean and new. After he powerwashed our deck and all its contents, he washed our windows, and even the large window on our door. Looks great! We highly recommend Good View Window Cleaning. They completed the job in just less than 2 hours. They were less expensive than everyone else, but super friendly and provided excellent results. We will have them back every spring. It's been a few years since our windows were professionally cleaned. We decided we had waited long enough. I reached out to three vendors for bids. Two got back to me. Doug, from Good View, got back to me the same day. Good View was not the cheapest quote but Doug's approach was slightly more encompassing than "just cleaning glass". The Good View team, Miguel and Humberto, were truly professional. They were punctual, focused and knew what they were doing. Doug stopped by half way through the project and we discussed power washing the concrete in front of our house. He proposed a price that I thought was fair, so we extended the project to include power washing. Miguel did a great job. True pros all around. Fair price. We had a great experience with Doug and his window cleaner after several failed attempts from other window cleaning companies. Our job required cleaning our unit's windows from the roof using ropes. The first company we contacted gave us a quote over the phone with a price to clean the windows from either inside access or via the roof; however, when the team showed up to do the job, we were informed that the price would more than double to do the job using ropes. The second company took a week to get back in touch with me after stopping by to see the scope of our job then said that they don't use ropes eventhough we discussed it in our initial coversation - another week lost! Doug was very straight forward to deal with. He came by the give an estimate, got back to me in a timely fashion and had the work completed within a few days. His window cleaner was very considerate, efficient, trust worthy and did not make a mess. Wow, so happy with this business!!!! They were recommended by my realtor. I called hoping that they could clean my windows on short notice because we are selling our place - not hoping for much because all these businesses are so busy these days. Doug was super responsive and easy to work with and lucky for me, they had a cancellation and were able to come literally the next day! Jay (I believe that was his name) is the lovely, young gentleman who did our windows. He was sooo pleasant, friendly, and hard working. Our windows were pretty dirty and our basement windows have bars on them - I told him whatever he couldn't get to - not to worry about it (totally understanding that some areas might be too difficult to clean and I really was just expecting "best I can I do" for these windows). My neighbor recommended Doug because he had always done a great job on their windows. After reading the yelp reviews I decided to use them for not only our windows, but also for power washing, vine removal, and gutter cleaning. I am so glad I did! We just keep walking around our house saying "WOW!". Dave and his crew did a fabulous job on everything but we are especially impressed with their vine removal. You could not find harder working guys then these and their attention to detail is amazing. What I especially appreciated about Doug is that you can tell he puts his customer's best interest before his own. Because the job was more expensive than he had anticipated (more hours than he thought it would take) he kept trying to knock money off our bill. Mother-in-law approved! My mother in law visits from time to time and has commented, in the past, about my dirty windows. Enter Good View and the mother in law had nothing but compliments about how nice everything looked. While it is expensive to have your windows washed, a crew of three men spent 5 hours, so I think it's a treat if your wallet allows it. My bungalow cost $584 all in, windows, storms and screens, but, again money well spent. Mike, the crew leader was great and Doug, the owner, was on site to review the work and collect the bill. When I called Doug I left a message with my address and he had clearly looked up my home before calling me back and asked me informed questions. He confirmed his crew's arrival by phone and text the night before and called during the service to check in. I decided that I'm too old and out of shape to clean my own gutters, but the water leaking over the side of the gutters during the rain reminded me that a good gutter cleaning was long over due. I searched Yelp and found Good View Window & Gutter. The reviews were stellar so I gave them a call. I spoke to Doug who said he could send a crew the next day. When they showed up I was very skeptical, but only because I'm old and these were very young kids (well, probably late teens or early 20's). But I figured what the heck, let's see what they got. Turns out these 2 guys were extremely hard workers and very polite. They must have been trained very well because these guys did a fantastic job! At one point I was standing in my kitchen with the window open and I could here them talking. These guys were very good kids! It was endearing. They also did one hell of a job! We used Good View Window Cleaning to clean our windows before selling our condo in Chicago. I can't say anything bad about the experience as working with Doug was a pleasure. He was friendly and laid-back and his washer completed the work quickly and cost-effectively. I called on a weekend evening and he called me back right away. We immediately received a quote and had him on the books for the beginning of the week. The quote he gave us over the phone was wait we paid in the end, even though he hadn't seen the unit in person. I've had prior experiences where window washers give you one price and then show-up in person and nickel and dime you for every pane they can. This was not the case with Doug, he made the stressful task of selling a home from out-of-state very easy. I can't say personally how the windows looked up-close, but our realtor said he did a great job and our listing photos looked spotless. Doug also went out of his way by allowing us to keep the window screens off for the listing photos and came back a couple weeks later to re-install them. He was very patient and had no issue with us holding the remaining balance until the screens were re-installed. We were very happy to find Good View Window Cleaning and we wish we could have given Doug more business before our move. He'd had a cancellation due to holiday w/e and was calling past customers when I gave him a ring. Good businessman. He gave me price/window pane and stuck by that. In the past I'd had Crystal Clear who wanted to charge me more, after the job was complete, than their quote even though I'd sent them photos and #of windows. Doug's workers were polite, thorough, respectful of plantings and property. Doug was there himself to inspect and make sure all was well. Doug and his team are, by far, the best window cleaners I've ever worked with. After searching for quite some time for a reasonable offer from a company that didn't have horrible reviews, I was delighted to find Good View. They showed up on time, took EXTRA care to wash the windows and screens for our condo association (three story, eight unit walk-up with lots of big windows), and even put all the screens back in when they were finished.
