It's a pretty cozy space so I waited for the appointment to wrap up by admiring the small town views and a few new pair of glasses. Dr. Nguyen was a pleasure. She was knowledgeable and made sure that I had just as much of an understanding of what was going on with my eyes. I didn't feel rushed at all going through my exam and she gave me thoughtful suggestions on my next steps to ensure that my eye health was being prioritized. I also appreciated that Dr. Nguyen sanitized the equipment before having me use each machine. At the front desk for check out, the woman who helped me there was also really patient as I scrambled to find my HSA card to pay. It started pouring down raining and she was even kind enough to walk me through the back door to my car so I wouldn't get as wet. I will be ordering my new contacts from here soon and was told the turnaround time is really quick. I look forward to receiving them and I am excited to have a new eye doctor.

I was lazy, and decided to order from glasses.com, and wish I had just made the trip to Goo Goo Eyes! I walked into Goo Goo Eyes Monday at 530P, 30 minutes before closing (unintentionally, I had wanted to leave work about an hour earlier but couldn't!) and told the associate exactly what I was looking for. She listened to what I wanted and brought me about a dozen frames to try that she thought would look good on me. I loved their selection of brands, and tried on several from Kate Spade, Oliver Peoples, and Modo, a really lightweight frame. We eliminated a few right away, and then I chose between three. She estimated it would take 5 business days, which is fine, but they absolutely under promised and over delivered: my glasses were ready Thursday at 10 a.m. and they look fabulous! I also had them make one of my favorite sunglasses into RX with polarized lenses and the polarization makes such a huge difference. The pricing was easy to understand and I felt really good about the transaction. I probably won't have to be back until I need to get an RX updated, which is hopefully not for a long time, but I know that this will be my one and only stop! Thanks for the two great frames!

Disappointing Experience with Pushy Sales Tactics…read more I want to start by saying the exam process was simple, and I had no issues with the doctor. However, my issue lies with the experience of getting my glasses prescription filled. From the beginning, I made it very clear that I wanted a basic, affordable second pair of glasses. I mentioned this multiple times--at least three times--but I felt pushed toward more expensive options that I didn't want. When I finally chose a frame covered by my insurance, I was told that my lenses required special processing because of my prescription. The price I was quoted for the lenses was over $500. When I said I couldn't afford that and didn't intend to spend more than $300, the price suddenly dropped to $308 within seconds. Why wasn't this lower option presented to me in the first place? The sudden shift in pricing felt shady and left me questioning the transparency of the process. It felt like I was being pressured into spending more than necessary, and the whole experience came across as unprofessional. I hope this feedback encourages a more honest and straightforward approach in the future. Customers should feel respected and confident in their choices--not pushed into something they don't want or can't afford.
