I had a really great experience here today! I just needed to get a few pairs of glasses fitted. They were so helpful and friendly and fast! I'll definitely be going back when it's time for new glasses. Thank you! read more

I've been going to Dr. Bill for decades. Once or twice, I tried other optometrists, but always come right back. I have had some eye problems, besides being near-sighted. He has always taken time to present me with different correction options, so I could really figure out what was best for me. read more

Amazing SERVICE & great SELECTION ! Partner got both his eye exam and an awesome new pair of glasses. Every inch of the way we were helped. From the doctor who did our eye exam to the person that helped us select our eye glasses and process them through our insurance. Everyone was very friendly and super helpful. I will be back for my eye exam ans a new pair of glasses too! read more

I had an awful experience at Uptown Vision. I've purchased many pairs of glasses from them over the past 20 years. My last 3 or 4 pairs have been a brand called Swissflex. When I went in today to purchase a new pair they said that they only have a few samples to sell, and that they don't sell that brand anymore, even though they show the brand name on a mirror on their sales counter. I left and called SwissFlex in New York who confirmed that their only distributor in Dallas is Uptown Vision. When I returned to question them again I was escorted out of their store. I will never shop at Uptown Vision again. I will go to Fort Worth to order my new SwissFlex glasses. read more

I have been going to Doctor Bill for years and it's easier for me to deal with a Doctor I already know. He knows my eyes too. read more

We love Uptown Vision! Dr. Roshi is so kind and caring. Her staff is really sweet and always smiling. Appointments are easy to schedule with a quick phone call. Rick will help you look your best with frames that fit your budget (he's such a pro, just trust him to find you the perfect pair!). Saturday appointments are so appreciated, so it's easy to fit in an annual visit. They do have an emergency line, as well, if ever needed. We would not trust our eye care to any other practice. Thanks Uptown Vision for taking such good care of us! B - ) read more

I would have to say that Dr. Bill is the best optometrist in uptown. I can honestly say that this is one of the best professionals. Another great thing about his office is the quality in glasses that you get. I would recomand this office to anyone. Thank you Dr. Bill for great services and great vision!!! read more

Fixed my glasses free of charge (just needed a screw replaced). Super nice people here!

This place is excellent! I've been going for 7 years and think so highly of my doctor (Chait), she's so caring and professional! The support staff is kind and works so hard for the customer! We brought our littles ones to visit and they loved the array of glasses options and tried most on. Highly recommend uptown vision! read more

I'm a former fan of this spot. Back when the owner (Morgan) was around the turnaround times, service and lack of mistakes was far less. had to cancel my last prescription lens order - they shipped the wrong lenses, didn't even call to tell me about it. Writing this with hopes they re-evaluate the service issues. read more

Great job! Thanks for the "new eyes!" I'd recommend Uptown Vision. The sales team and expertise. Epic! Nice!

Amazing customer service, employees were kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this optometrist for anyone looking!

Fantastic place and really excellent experience. I've used Uptown for both glasses and contacts and started going to Uptown last year when I moved to Dallas. Dr. Chait and the staff have been unbelievable. From when I stepped in to take the first exam, every suggestion and guidance Dr. Chait has provided have been really spot on and perfect. And when I followed up with questions around contacts, Dr. Chait made sure to carefully answer every one and provided great guidance. Jenna was the first staff person I spoke with, and she is excellent. And the rest of the staff are also super nice and go out of their way to be really helpful. Simply the best optometry experience I can remember. Really, both the doctor and staff are amazing! read more

I started going to uptown Vision when I lived in the area. I have since moved but I continue to go to the office because the service there is top notch. Their selection of frames is amazing and the staff is so helpful, from the staff that greets you to the Doctors. Last year I got the coolest frames that I would have never picked on my own thanks to the patient associate that worked with me, I get compliments on them all the time! This year there was a small issue with my contact delivery and the staff went above and beyond to make it right, especially Sarah! I highly recommend Uptown Vision. read more

I am in town for WESA market and broke my glasses. I can't see without them. The friendly staff were able to fix them on the spot... No charge! What fantastic place and people. Highly recommend!! read more

I recently discovered Uptown Vision after a friend had recommended Dr. Henderson because I had recently moved to Dallas and needed an eye doctor. I was blown away with the level of expertise; he was so professinal, friendly and really spent the time to ensure my contacts were going to be the right ones. I also would like to add that his staff was super helpful and provided a great experience. I would highly recommend Dr Henderson and Uptown Vision, they also have a great selection of eyewear and they really do make you feel like a special guest. read more

I visited again and didn't know what to expect during covid season but to my surprise what an immaculate attention to detail and cleanliness. As usual I am very happy with their collections it's very upbeat. Five star customer service I highly recommend them. read more

Dr. William Henderson and the staff are second to none! None only did he help me with a medical eye emergency, his staff was always available for anything as well. I highly recommend his services, glasses, contacts and more! read more

Yesterday I graduated! Uptown Visual is NOT: Target Optical Visionworks LensCrafters You're stepping into the big leagues of designer eyewear here. Bring your wallet! I enjoyed the selection of frames. My sales associate had discerning taste. If your price sensitive, you may want to go elsewhere. Goodbye mass retail. I'm going to boutiques with designer eyewear from here on out. read more

I love this place! They have a huge selection of fun and hip glasses. They have some awesome sunglasses for selection with prescription too. And the associates are so helpful. I never knew that the temples (the part that sits on your ears) can be adjusted to sit on your ears better. Jessica helped to adjust the temples, hinges and screws on my glasses. I can't even explain how helpful the team members here are. What I think is super frustrating with any healthcare/insurance provider is cost you pay at the end, is always higher than you expect. The associates (Jessica was helping me today) here were extremely helpful in breaking down prices for me, when I made my payment - it was exactly the number I Anticipated. I bought in a pair of glasses with an outdated prescription. I had to get my prescription fax here and the process was super smooth. I dropped off my old frames and picked up the new frames in less than a week! When I went to pick up my glasses, it wasn't just a 'here are your glasses, bye' process. Jessica checked twice to make sure my glasses sat on my ears properly and wouldn't slide down my face! I also bought in my old pair of ray bans aviators (that had a chipped in the lenses). Jessica also changed the lenses for me with an extra fee! Also, they adjusted the nose pieces for me so it would sit on my face properly. I guess being Asian and having a lower nose bridge, sunglasses/glasses are always hard to find. I've had glasses/contacts for 8 years and I've never been to an eye-care provider that has been as helpful as uptown vision! HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING HERE! :) read more

Really amazing office. They go above and beyond to help you with your needs. Dr. Roshie is excellent and wants you to find contacts and glasses that really fit you and will keep trying until you're satisfied. Very clean and following good COVID procedures. Highly recommend. read more

This place is fantastic! Not only do they have the best selection of frames in Dallas (and I'd know, I swear I looked at all of them between downtown and 635), but the staff is wonderful as well: very warm, patient, and knowledgeable. I've had the same prescription for over 15 years, so buying a new pair of glasses is an event for me. I was on a mission to get a stylish pair of larger frames; I was missing some serious peripheral vision in my little librarian number. And who would've guessed that they'd be so hard to find! I had some stores that just didn't get it (one woman even asked why I was looking for "manly" frames) and others just didn't have the selection I was looking for. But not Uptown Vision! They have all of the newest, most stylish frames: Oliver Peoples, Barton Perreira, Salt, Chanel, you name it. And to top it off, they constantly have reps from the different lines in the store.... Bonus! But the real kicker is the service. I had a very hard time making up my mind. Brand, style, color, I must have tried on every larger frame in the store. They went above and beyond my expectations to make sure I had the exact frame that I wanted. In the end, they special ordered me a pair in a color they did not carry in the store. And I can come back in for a free adjustment anytime! Wonderful store. I will definitely be back. read more

The absolute best service in an Optometry office I have ever had. The staff and Doctors are very professional and knowledgeable. The best pair of glasses I have ever had. Can I say enough!! Have referred by friends to them. The office is very modern, artsy, commercial and functional. read more

I was very impressed with my recent visit at Uptown Vision. It felt very clean, and I was quickly checked in and put in the exam room. When I tried on glasses they set out a tray for me to put all the glasses I tried on so they could clean them. They cleaned the card reader before and immediately after I made my payment. I felt very safe going there for my vision exam. As always, Dr. Henderson was very pleasant. I'm glad my husband found Uptown Vision when we moved to Dallas! read more

I will have to agree with all of the first timers. My experience was great when I first came. Now That I am trying to refill my contacts and because I don't want to order through them at a much higher rate they have completely flipped! I requested an emailed copy of my prescription and waited... nothing! I called back and spoke to another staff member and I was literally told "we have other things to do, we will get to it sometime today!" When I explained that I needed to order them today the staff member just said "yeah, we will get to it." Not cool guys! I was happy to pay above what others in the area charge for great service. That has now digressed and it's not worth paying extra to be treated in such a manner. I will not be going back to this place but will gladly pay extra somewhere else for the service provided. You should really think long term with your clients. And no ill will to the optometrist that took care of me originally, but the front desk service needs to improve! read more

This optometrist office is great. I've also referred coworkers to Dr Henderson and they were happy with the reference. Dr Henderson is polite, professional and spends a good deal of time explaining your situation and options. You almost feel like he doesn't have other appointments! The front desk staff is super friendly and very attentive to starting and completing your appointment. Ryan is a standout - he fixed my glasses 11 months later and all under warranty. Amazing service! Cheers to Uptown Vision read more

Dr. Henderson is so capable, welcoming, and thorough. I have horrible vision and it embarrasses me but he always makes me feel like its just not a big issue. His staff is so knowledgeable about insurance issues and I never pay for any testing or services out of pocket unless I know exactly what it costs. I wish all my doctor visits were this successful! read more

I try to get regular exams yearly, but since moving and with a busy schedule- It's difficult to find the time. I was in need of help for my dry eyes and I read great reviews about Uptown Vision and Dr. Roshie, so I decided to make an appointment. I am so glad that I did! From the moment I walked in, everyone was extremely professional and attentive. Dr. Roshie saw was very knowledgable, extremely thorough and kind. She explained what I could do to alleviate my symptoms and better protect my eyes from direct air, heat, etc. She sent over an eye drop prescription to my pharmacy which was denied (due to my subpar insurance) and she was so quick to fax over a replacement and/or work with my insurance company to make sure I could get something that fit my budget. In my own experiences, this process itself is very difficult to get through and she made it a breeze. I am so thankful for Uptown Vision and Dr. Roshie.. I recommend her to everyone, the office decor is gorgeous, the staff is wonderful and the glasses are so chic! I won't go anywhere else. Thank you Uptown Vision! read more

This was the best experience I've had with a Doctor of any kind in a long time. I had a painful eye situation and within 15 minutes off calling the office, I was sitting with Dr. Henderson and being treated. He was thorough and took care to explain to me my treatment plan. He had a great personality and had me in and out of the office in less than an hour. The whole office is super friendly and was super kind. Definitely recommend them!!! read more

I haven't seen an eye doctor in years, partly because I've never had any issues with my vision, but recently I was like you know what, it's about time I get my eyes checked just to make sure everything checks out --- and I'm so glad I did! I looked up Uptown Vision as I had read and heard good things about them and decided to give them a shot, partly because their office looks super chic and I like their style. Anyhow, I ended up seeing Dr. Roshie to give me an eye exam and she was stellar. She did a great job at helping me understand each step of the process. Turns out I have something going on with one of my eyes, but she put me at ease by explaining the risk factors, what I need to do, and even booked an appointment. I'm so glad she was my doctor, as she answered all my questions, showed me where to research stuff to learn more --- she even looked stuff up on the computer so that I wouldn't get lost in internet wonderworld freaking myself out or reading the wrong stuff. At the end of my appointment, I got outfitted for a slick pair of frames, thanks to Ryan. I've never worn glasses in my life and I'm super excited to sport a new look with these killer frames! The selection was hard as there's so many unique eye pieces to choose from, but with Ryan's help, we chose one that I couldn't be happier with! I totally recommend Uptown Vision for anyone looking for personalized one-on-one eye care or seeking to upgrade their look with a stylish pair of frames. read more

BEWARE consumers! This is a terrible place of business that tried to charge me 50$ over retail on some Oakley prescription frames. I know this because luckily I verified the retail price at an Oakley store. They did agree to sell the Oakley Plank frames for the retail price of 240$. Unfortunately, two weeks after I placed my order & waited for my lenses to be made they tried to charge me 162$ more dollars saying my insurance wouldn't cover something. After questioning where these additional costs were coming from via multiple phone calls to my insurance company & Uptown Vision. I discovered my insurance company would pay after all and I wasn't supposed to be charged the 162$! Then they refused to fill my prescription & complete the sale! Never in my entire life of wearing glasses & contacts have I had anywhere near such a horrible experience. read more

I recently moved to Dallas and came to this place based on Yelp reviews. I wish I hadn't. Customer service is an afterthought here. They're too busy clicking away on the computer and answering calls. No apology for making me wait. When I called to see how long it would be to change out lenses I was told 1 hour. When I came in to have then swapped I was told it would be ready tomorrow. This was hours before closing. No ownership of the situation was taken by the snarky employee but I was told 'I don't know who told you that but they're wrong'. Great, thanks for having me drive all the way down to be told I was lied to by your own team. I'm afraid the doctors weren't much better. They certainly know what they're doing in their field but they seem to be too busy to care about who the patient sitting in the sit. Churn and burn, they've got better things to do! Maybe they need less patients and then they could focus more on their service. It shows where the customer service standards trickle down from. Since I have VSP, I unfortunately had to use the entire benefit here instead of splitting between the exam there and the other stuff somewhere else. I will admit, they were actually quite helpful in explaining my benefits. I was apologized to for the back-ordered contacts (they said 5 business days, it took 4 weeks, but understandably not their fault). Anyhow, I brought the other service issues up to their attention and they basically just shrugged their shoulders. Well, I do the same to them by posting this and never spending another dime with them. It doesn't help that they are going for the boutique feel and price accordingly. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

After 3 years without an eye checkup and the curse of the twenty-something-desk-job-14-hours-in-front-of-computer-eye-strain-squint-induced headaches, I made an appointment at Uptown Vision from a friend's recommendation. The staff, especially Jessica, was extremely friendly and helpful. What I love best about Uptown Vision is their business hours. They were able to see me during my lunch hour and then around 5:30pm for a followup. Late afternoon appointments and even Saturday appointments are available, which is ideal for the twenty-something Uptown-er or 18-hour workaholic. And they held to their appointment times. No long waits in the lobby here! Dr. Henderson is professional, friendly, and really stands by his commitment to developing personal relationships with his patients. The one downside is cost. With a contact fitting, new lens prescription, and a new pair of (fabulous) glasses, the expense added up quickly. My insurance did cover a portion, but not all. This could be a real turnoff for a lot of people (and with very good reason). But, for me, a courteous staff, prompt assistance, attentive patient care, and flexibility is well worth it for a gal who will do a lot to avoid the doctor's office. The "one stop shop" is clean, modern, and crisp, much like a boutique art gallery with a hip and fresh collection of glasses as its headlining showcase. It's got a good vibe going. You can just feel it. Now, if they only greeted you with a glass of red wine... read more

I've been going to Dr. Bill and Uptown Vision for many years. He has a very professional staff. Dr. Bill, himself, takes a very real interest in his patients. The store has a wide variety of styles and looks to choose from. It is certainly on the upper end of the price scale, but I still think there is a price point for everyone if what you are really looking for is quality and style. (If you are bargain shopping, Wal-Mart would be a better fit.) As for "jamie e." and his review on 7/27/2011, I have little to say other than you should probably click on his name and take a look at his other reviews. He reviewed 7 optical stores/offices in one day. Six got abysmal reviews and 1 got a stellar review. You can draw your own conclusions. read more

If you know me, then you know I'm blind as a bat and feel about eye appointments the way most people feel about vising the dentist. That changed with Uptown Vision. Dr. Bill and his staff are awesome. They make you feel comfortable and welcomed, always have confident, reassuring answers so my (many) questions. Dr. Bill is really thorough in his examination process. He doesn't just send you out with a prescription. He gives you a trial pair and makes sure it works for you. Unique things about his office - he also displays art from local artists and has an awesome selection of frames. read more
