I was running 4 mins behind due to traffic and they went ahead and brought in the appointment behind me since they were already there and waiting. Not ideal for me of course but great if the shoe had been on the other foot. It's a pretty cozy space so I waited for the appointment to wrap up by admiring the small town views and a few new pair of glasses. Dr. Nguyen was a pleasure. She was knowledgeable and made sure that I had just as much of an understanding of what was going on with my eyes. I didn't feel rushed at all going through my exam and she gave me thoughtful suggestions on my next steps to ensure that my eye health was being prioritized. I also appreciated that Dr. Nguyen sanitized the equipment before having me use each machine. At the front desk for check out, the woman who helped me there was also really patient as I scrambled to find my HSA card to pay. It started pouring down raining and she was even kind enough to walk me through the back door to my car so I wouldn't get as wet. I will be ordering my new contacts from here soon and was told the turnaround time is really quick. I look forward to receiving them and I am excited to have a new eye doctor.

She was so kind and shared extensive information about my condition, a severe corneal abrasion, and provided excellent care. She confirmed that I should not have put off seeing someone as soon as possible. Needless to say, I gave my original eye care provider a second chance to step up, and now I definitely won't be going back. First eye care Downtown has my business going forward. Eventually we reconnected and found out that they have been delivered, but to the other location (‍). They said they would be ready to pick up on the 28th. OK.... Achieving the perfect prescription and fit has always been a challenge, but with their team it became seamless, stress-free and precise from the very beginning. Last fall, I returned to their delightful store for updated measurements and fitting details. Recently, I sent them my new prescription and promptly received my new bifocals and readers via UPS. Disappointing Experience with Pushy Sales Tactics…read more I want to start by saying the exam process was simple, and I had no issues with the doctor. However, my issue lies with the experience of getting my glasses prescription filled. From the beginning, I made it very clear that I wanted a basic, affordable second pair of glasses. I mentioned this multiple times--at least three times--but I felt pushed toward more expensive options that I didn't want. When I finally chose a frame covered by my insurance, I was told that my lenses required special processing because of my prescription. The price I was quoted for the lenses was over $500. When I said I couldn't afford that and didn't intend to spend more than $300, the price suddenly dropped to $308 within seconds. Why wasn't this lower option presented to me in the first place? The sudden shift in pricing felt shady and left me questioning the transparency of the process. I went here for new glasses…read more The experience was uneven. I went in to ask if they do eye exams for new glasses and they said yes but were "completely booked" for the day. It was about 11am. They gave me some options for the following week which did not work for me, so I was just standing there thinking about what to do when the receptionist said "can you come today at 1pm?" I said sure, not questioning why the booked schedule had changed suddenly. I arrived at 1pm and no other customers were in line for an exam or anything else. In fact, during my whole time there I saw zero people there for an exam, so where the "full schedule" came from is a master to me. They tried to start off with an eye exam but their first machine broke or was not functioning. Luckily, I had recent paperwork from my other eye doctor that they could use, otherwise I was wasting my time and would have to come back another time. They accepted my paperwork so we were in business. After the exam was completed, I chose my frames--they have a decent selection with different price tiers--and Issac worked with me on the price. At the point of purchase I was told that they would text me when the glasses were ready. A week later, I had heard nothing so I called and was told the glasses had arrived. I went in the next day to get my new glasses. I am happy with them, they fit well and I can see clearly again. The day after I picked up my glasses I received a text that my glasses are ready for pickup.
