Dr. McDaniel and his staff are the best. He has been our Optometrist for years and we are very satisfied with him and his office. He is very attentive and explains everything clearly. Dr. McDaniel was fantastic! Overall a super positive experience, short wait time, no dilation (retinal imaging instead! Total plus!), and Dr. McDaniel really took his time to make sure that my prescription was right where it needed to be! The whole team was super helpful in giving me pricing and even letting me know that there were less expensive places I could get the same lens (I.e. Costco). Dr. McDaniel also does it all, no passing off to contact specialists, which I totally appreciate. Plus the office is super beautiful! I would DEFINITELY go back! read more

Worst customer service ever. Girls working here are half asleep. Came in to inquire about getting lenses and the girl just stared at me half dead and started typing on her computer. She then puts a form in front of me and asks me to sign so they won't be liable for breaking my glasses. Really? You start by telling the customer you might break their glasses? What a miserable woman and what a miserable excuse for a glasses store. I'll never be back here. These hacks handle their frames with zero care and then want to blame the customers for it. Avoid these scammers and go somewhere where they actually value customers and value frames. This place isn't it! read more

I love the style of this place, its clean and sleek. Its pleasing to the eyes. The parking is kind of hit or miss. I parked in front of the store because I got lucky. I thought the service provided by the front desk was not so great. I thought maybe she was having a bad day. I was being nice anyways because its the hardest thing to do, is to be nice when someone is mean. I tried to break the bad vibes going on but it just kept up. I was finally seen for my appointment. This doctor is great! He definitely knows his stuff and easy talk to. His services were great. It made up for the service I got in the front of the store. I ordered contacts. Went here upon several recommendations and have never regretted it since. I had my exam here at a reasonable price for not having eye insurance. No weird doctor's office or waiting for 3 hours to be seen. They hold true to their appointment times. Afterward, I chose my frames from their incredible selection of the best boutique frames I've found in Dallas and in no time at all (a week?) my frames had my prescription lenses in them ready for me to wear. The staff is incredibly helpful, knowledgable and know what they're talking about. It helps that they have great style, too. Not only did I get my glasses here but my contact lenses, too. Considering how upscale glass optical is, I found the customer service not up to par. I'd recommend buying glasses, NOT contacts. I had an rx for daily contacts that I simply wanted a refill but for the reg monthly contacts I've worn for +15 years, (an rx less than a year old). Apparently that required me to come in for a whole new exam and pay, which was not feasible for me since I moved away. I basically went to 1800 contacts, filled a simple form, paid $19.99 and got the contacts I wanted. read more

I Love this establishment. I had a hard time finding someone to schedule an exam for my 4 year old. After calling several places, I called here and was given a same day appointment with no hesitation. When you walk in as a new patient you feel like you have been apart of their optical family forever. The staff is attentive and friendly. The doctor is amazing!!! Best optical shop I have ever experienced, beyond friendly, accommodating, very quick and I had no idea the eye puffer machine is a thing of the past. Glass Optical has a little stick they hold next to your eye that's painless and much better than having a machine blow a puff of air onto your eye to measure pressure. I will be back and I highly recommend for anybody needing an eye exam to check this place out, it was very affordable. read more

Well.....I found this gem from my insurance company. If I could give more stars I would! I called one Saturday at 2:15, requesting a last minute eye exam appointment, the lady I spoke to, I believe her name was Giselle, she was very nice and pleasant. She stated they had a 2:30, I then asked would they grant a 15 min. grace period, and she told me to come on in, no worries, they'll get me in. Once I arrived, I was amazed by the establishment! It was nice, warm, inviting, organized, and fits right in to the home of the eclectic feel of Bishop Arts area. Now back to my appointment, Dr. Stephen McDaniel is very professional, thorough handsome (don't tell my boyfriend), hands on, kind, socialable, and compassionate. When I think of Drs., or normally see Drs., most Drs. hide in their office and only come out once it's time to see the patient, leave and that's it. Dr. McDaniel was dressed down and hanging out in the lobby, mingling with his staff and patients. Crystal, Diane(a), Josiah were his staff for the day. Josiah helped me with completing my paperwork, along with other duties. Crystal helped me try on glasses, and as a team, Dr. McDaniel, my boyfriend, Crystal, Josiah, and Giselle, all helped to select (well narrow down) the lucky frames. There's so much more to share, and this isn't a paid review. I love this place, and wish I could work here! The atomosphere is GREAT! Thank you guys, I can now see! read more

As soon as his eye exam was completed, our business there was done, as it seemed like we weren't living up the expectations of this employee. It's standard practice for proactive businesses to get two steps ahead of new customers, and we didn't appreciate being made to feel like we made an error in not bringing information already retrieved by a more helpful and concerned employee. They most definitely need to call this person out on her behavior. It was a young woman of color. Best experience I've ever had at a place of business! Wasn't just a good glasses experience, but lovely to chat with the helpful staff and get to know the super personable Dr. Wilkes as I received my eye exam. The cost of the exam was so cheap compared to most places I had previously called, and particularly so for the kind of quality time Dr. Wilkes spends with you. I already had frames from a different store and needed lenses, which they happily put in for me. Also very affordable, by the way, at $120, when the store I bought the frames at was going to charge me $275 for lenses! Love these guys. Dr. Wilkes will be my eye doc from here on out and I will be going to them for future contacts and eyeglasses as well! read more

The doctor was amazing but the front desk is awful. They charged me $75 after my appointment. I called before my appointment and they said they took my insurance and before the appointment I asked to be sure that they accepted my insurance and the guy at the front desk said yes.
