The electricity to our house failed on a Sunday afternoon. Turn It On Electric (TIO), which we had never used before, was the only company willing to send someone out immediately to diagnose the problem. Bob Best, TIO's on-call electrician, soon arrived and determined that our main circuit breaker switch had failed. While he couldn't fix the problem that afternoon because a replacement part had to be located, he thoroughly explained the issue and told us he would research the necessary part and that TIO would prioritize the repairs the next morning. Bob was professional, knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, clearly cared about our problem and assured us he would get the problem resolved. On Monday morning, TIO's office staff located the part, obtained the necessary permit from the City of Phoenix, and coordinated with both APS and the city's inspector to get the power turned off in a timely manner so the repair would be made and then have the power turned back on again, all of which was accomplished by Monday afternoon. Throughout this process TIO kept us informed of their coordination efforts, and when Bob and his colleague, Sean, would return to the house. Both Bob & Sean did an exemplary job in resolving the issue and they were as excited as we were to see the power restored. Our thanks to TIO and their employees for the wonderful work they performed. If we need electrical work done in the future, we will certainly call TIO and request that Bob & Sean be dispatched to perform the work. read more

I recently moved to Phoenix and needed to run electric from my home to my new workshop that was under construction so I called TIO, they sent Tyson to give me an estimate. Tyson was very pleasant, patient and courteous while listening to me tell him what I wanted to do. He gave me very good suggestions that could save me money while giving me the electrical service that I needed for my shop. I already had 3 other local companies come to give me estimates and TIO's estimate was by far the lowest. I wasn't as impressed by the low price as I was by Tyson's knowledge of electric service and willingness to help, so I set an appointment to have the job done. Tyson returned on the day I had set for the work and got everything done exactly as I wanted without any problems. He did an exceptional job and worked fast in order to not exceed the original estimated time of completion. He installed a 60 amp service to my workshop with a 12 post breaker box along with a emergency disconnect. He also installed a outdoor 30 amp RV outlet from the shop panel to the exterior shop wall, so when we have guests with RV's they can plug right in. His fast work completion did not sacrifice in safety or quality, and if I ever need electrical work again I would not only use TIO, but also request Tyson!! Without as doubt the best contractor I have dealt with in the last 18 months. Scott Gibson showed up to installed a subpanel and 5 circuits in our garage. He showed up on Tuesday and after an initial walk through of what needed to be done he said he would have to reschedule the work, he immediately called the office and had his schedule rearranged and asked if they could return that Thursday & Friday to accomplish the work. Scott returned Thursday when he said he would and completed the work on Friday around 3pm. Thursday Scott's crew consisted of Scott, Anthony and another young man whose name I forget, Friday it was Scott and Anthony. The work is professional and extremely well done. I have dealt with contractors my entire life and over the last year to18 months my wife and I have had a rooftop solar system installed our backyard landscaped and a pool installed, so we have had several contractors to deal with. So when I state, without a doubt the best contractor I've dealt with, I truly believe it. Scott and his crew were professional, courteous and always did what they said they were going to do. I had a great experience with Turn It On Electric. The electricity in part of my house went out inexplicably. After trying to pinpoint the problem myself, to no avail, I called TIO. The people taking my call were very friendly. Then, wouldn't you know, the next day before the appointment, the power just came back on!! I called the office again, debating on whether I should cancel the appointment, and I was able to talk through my concerns with them. I decided to keep the appointment, and I'm so glad I did. Bob B. came out, actually listened to me and what I had done to troubleshoot the problem (without any sort of condescension that, as a woman, I wouldn't know what I was talking about), and then proceeded to investigate. It turned out to be a burnt out socket behind a wall - 50-year old wires had melted causing a break in the circuit. He fixed this, made everything like new and also fixed up a few other outlets along the circuit that had minor issues (loose outlets, old gaskets, etc). Very friendly, Bob also did a great job showing me the issues, explaining what needed to be done, but more importantly, talking through with me how it all worked so I would know for the future in case any future issues arose. read more

Turn It On Electric has provided excellent, professional service for me in a very timely manner on two separate occasions in the last month. The first job was pulling wire and installing fan boxes in 2 bedrooms where there were previously no ceiling fans. Bill was the Electrician and he was friendly and informative while working quickly and suggesting multiple options for getting the job done which resulted in saving both time and money. The second job was to troubleshoot a water heater breaker which kept tripping and getting hot. Pedro was the Electrician this time and he thoroughly checked out both the water heater and the fuse box before fixing the problem very efficiently and professionally. From Bill and Pedro in the field to Crystal in the office who took my call both times and worked her magic on a busy Monday morning to squeeze my job into the schedule since I was without hot water I have been consistently impressed with this company who quite clearly is Doing Things Right and "Turning On" their clients. read more

It took a while to find someone to respond to a non critical electrical problem. Turn it On Electric were one of the few companies that actually answered the phone, and I made an appointment 9 days later. I continued to attempt to find someone without luck, must have been a busy day. I then got a call 3 days later, and Pedro was available to come round that afternoon. He started at the main panel to make sure there was nothing wrong there. While I was pretty sure power was leaving the panel, he quickly confirmed it. He then went round the outlets and found some strange readings. The Neutral line was giving the wrong reading. He then tested all the outlets not working, and found the problem. A changed plug about 6 years ago had left the ground a little loose, and it had eventually moved enough to cause problems. Pedro quickly resolved the issue and was on his way. I was very pleased with the thoroughness of his analysis, and the final result. read more

TIO provided excellent and timely service for a power failure and much anxiety on my part. This was my first experience with TIO and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Scott did the initial evaluation and was right on target for a 40 year old residential system that needed a new main circuit breaker - those orange plastic Murray breakers don't last forever. Tessa was my main contact and scheduler - - when the power completely failed she got Jose on the job that morning and he was done before noon - great service !! the APS service tech and Phoenix building inspector were also timely and helpful to get my power back on quickly. Jason G. from TIO came out to our home to place an electrical box and replace a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. Jason called letting us know he was on the way and he was at our door exactly when they said he would be there. Jason was very friendly and explained everything as he worked. Since the main problem was that there was no electrical box for the original ceiling fan in the master bedroom, Jason checked all the other fans (10) in our home to make sure they were wired properly and had the required electrical box. Fortunately, no other problems were found. All of this for less than the cost of the fan, you can't beat that! I have worked with numerous electricians over the years and I feel that TIO and Jason were as honest and genuine as they come. I am very impressed with TIO. read more

Pedro Madril came to our office and provided us with a detailed estimate. We already received 2 other bids and before he left, we agreed to work with him and his company. When Pedro came back to do the work, they captured every detail we requested and finished the job swiftly and on budget. The only negative thing i will say, is the office did not do a good job at scheduling for an estimate. I had to keep following up to even get on their schedule. Also, It would be helpful for the office to call the customer to confirm appointments. Most companies do this and it helps reassure the customer and not waste the company's time, if someone forgets an appointment or needs to cancel it. read more

I called TIO Electric 3 weeks ago to install four ceiling fans and troubleshoot a ceiling can light in a condo my wife and I bought. They were able to come out the next day and gave us a two hour window time frame. Not only were they prompt, they called to see if they could arrive a half hour early (bonus points!). Bob Best and his partner did a great job installing the fans - each one of which was different in configuration. They also determined that the can light must have never worked as the wiring turned out to be not connected to anything. This is the second time I have used TIO Electric and I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to friends. read more

I just bought an RV and am planning on storing it at my house. I honestly know nothing about electrical or that I needed a 30 w breaker to run my rv properly. I had an issue with a blown breaker which I needed to get fixed ASAP and it was a Friday. I called TIO based on the reviews from Yelp, and Bruce was nice enough to get someone to my house later that day. David Stebler, the electrician, came out and fixed the problem even though it was a little more difficult than he expected. He was very knowledgeable, nice and presented himself very well and was unlike any other service guy that I had experienced before with other companies. The price was reasonable and I was very happy! Turn It On Electric are pro's. One of the things I look for in any tradesman is neat work. I don't like sloppy wiring, crooked wall switches or little bits of wire all over the place. These guys make sure the job is complete. On top of that they are really knowledgeable and want to do it right. I had Chad take a look at my breaker box which was making some weird noises. There were things in there not done right from years ago, loose connections and code violations. I could have had a fire. Now I have peace of mind that the whole thing has been checked and it's done right. read more
