Read this as a 3.5 - 4. On my beach tour at Venice Beach, I stumbled across this humble ice cream shop and had to Czech (pun intended) it out. You get a decent variety of filler material (Nutella is the way to go), toppings, and ice cream flavors. I liked the cinnamon cone more than I liked the ice cream which was just alright compared to the other ice cream spots that I visited in LA. This is definitely a good novelty dessert for those who want to try it and unique compared to some of the other offerings on Venice Beach. $8 on average was about what you expect for the cinnamon cone and ice cream. Saw this place on instagram and definitely wanted to try. Located in a great spot on the boardwalk, i was able to get my treats and sit in the grass to enjoy the weather away from the crowd. I got the reeses cimnamon cone and a milkshake. The reece's cone was my fave, but both were amazing. The cone was sooo good. It looks better than it tastes. It's not bad, but maybe my expectations where just to high. However, my experience with the rude Asian lady at the counter was very bad. My wife and I, are from Europe and we've never seen anything like that, so my wife wanted to record it. We asked nicely whether we could record it, because we thought it was a funny/unusual way to make ice cream. We told her that we would only record her hands and NOT her face. She looked at us and gave us the face you make when you indirectly ask people whether they are stupid or not, and asked: "Have you never seen ice cream before?" My wife was ready with the camera, but had NOT started the recording and the lady said "It seems like your wife is already recording, I not ok with that".. And then a few seconds after with creepy smile she said: "I can sue you for that". So I told my wife to put away her camera. That experience totally ruined my day and visit to Venice beach, because she made us feel like to dumb tourists. I'm totally fine with people not being ok with being recorded, but formulate it more kindly. Here is an advice to the lady; Next time at least try to smile and at least try to pretend you like your job! read more
