Chocolate, strawberry
Rebecca N.

What a hidden gem in Santa Monica! Randomly stumbled across this seriously delicious ice cream place (and dairy-free/plant-based, even better). The employee working was so friendly and helpful, offering samples and recommendations. They had quite a few great flavors to choose from - the chocolate and strawberry were standouts. I'm not usually a chocolate person ever, but this was soo good. The strawberry tasted super fresh/real too. Portion size was generous. I would absolutely recommend and come back.

Really loved trying all the flavors. Michael the owner was there and gave us the whole backstory. It has the creaminess of real ice cream and not too sweet just perfect. Highly recommended to add toppings like the dark chocolate and the chocolate sprinkles! I would say the winner is the Tuesday special The chocolate peanut butter!

The service is great, the girl was very polite (I forgot the name). However, we didn't like the taste of ice-cream, it is good, it is an acquired taste.

Postmated pints - secure & cute!

I love the vegan ice cream here! I just Postmated a couple pints, & my sealed bag came with the cutest drawings on it. Very sweet! The flavors I picked today were both favorites: Strawberry Shortcake - with soft Sweet Laurel cake chunks, so good! Lemon Cream - slightly coconutty, lemony, & smooth - love this! Both flavors were just the right amount of not very sweet, to let the fruity flavors come through. There's never any regret after eating these yummy, clean treats! Highly recommend!

May Special - Cookies & Dough (contains cashews & almond)

AMAZING. Workers are always so friendly, you can sample any flavor, and split flavors in each cup. My favorite is the cookie dough series they've had this month. I've come back like 5x in the span of 2 weeks. PLEASE keep the cookies & dough series in rotation!!!

Disappointed.... as a holistic food blogger who is vegan and gluten free my boyfriend and I were so excited to find this place and baffled why we didn't sooner considering we live down the street. We had a hankering for ice cream and from everything we saw online it seemed right up our alley. I always appreciate when any business is fully transparent with the ingredients they use and are health conscious which this place is. We popped in tonight and immediately loved the vibe. It's cute and clean even though it's a bit small. We were drawn in by the strawberry cheesecake but their special tonight was cookies and cream so we decided to get that. I got one scoop of that with sprinkles and my boyfriend got that and the passionfruit. At first the flavor seemed really bitter to me but I kept eating it and then started to hit the cookie chunks which (and I could be wrong here) seemed to be raw to me which made the texture unpleasant. The whole scoop was just filled with the cookie crumble and it really detracted from the ice cream itself. It was VERY rich and bitter. I had to stop eating it. The passionfruit was fantastic (we both loved it) but I'm not kidding when I say we both got super nauseous immediately from the cookies and cream. I really think it was the flavor (which just had a confusing taste personally) and the cookie crumble which was almost raw and frozen inside. The service was great and we love the concept so definitely want to come back and perhaps try the strawberry cheesecake or a more fruity flavor and give that a shot cause we really want to like this place but this experience was just super unpleasant and disappointing. I will update review once I go back with my next experience!

Michael and his wife turn out the MOST incredible gf, df, rsf ice creams in the world. I don't know how they do it but they're truly spectacular!! Such a wonderful company, smaller family-owned, I'm not sure how it's not blown up even more -- but it's my favorite ice cream spot and it's healthy?! WILD. BIG LOVE

Single scoop snickerdoodle and sea salt chocolate

The raving reviews brought me here. So I'm sure you're wondering: Did Frozen Fruit Co live up to the hype? I'm glad you asked. Frozen Fruit Co exceeded the Yelp hype. This place is changing the ice cream game for the better. As soon as we walked in, the passionate owner greeted us with a big, warm smile and eagerly asked us if we'd like to try this weekend's special flavor. First sign that this ice cream was going to be a hit. Samples were encouraged. Many samples later, my wife and I both settled on the snickerdoodle and sea salt chocolate. Although every single flavor that we tried was divine. Ok, onto the specifics of the product. Wow. Creamy, smooth, fresh, decadent, and... all natural and vegan?! Made with nothing but fresh, whole, ingredients and sweetened with dates?! Love this healthy, wholesome take on ice cream. And love that it makes my taste buds sing. It's easy to miss this charming, hole in the wall spot if you're strolling down Montana street. So put Frozen fruit Co on on your radar and stop by for some of the best ice cream that you'll ever have, complimented by top-notch service.

100% plants, 0% guilt! I love this spot and how fresh all the flavors are. The strawberry flavor (more of a sorbet than ice cream) is super refreshing these hot summer days. Food: 10/10 Drinks: N/A Service: 10/10 Affordable: 9/10 Vegan-friendly: 10/10

What are the ingredients in your homemade peanut butter cups? THEY ARE AMAZING!! And what are the ingredients in the marshmallows! I love them too!!

Hi Nina.  We are so glad you love them! The ingredients of our house made PB cups are coconut oil,…

Is there anything soy free? I am gluten and dairy intolerant also.

Hi Jessie! None of our ice creams contain any soy, dairy or gluten based ingredients! They are all…

What are the flavors that contain no sugar and are vegan? Or is every flavor vegan? I want to go and just want to know what to order.

Hi Chelsea. Great question. Thanks Yanal - yes all the flavors are vegan. All the flavors are just sweetened with fruit sugar - so out of our current flavors (they rotate) the chocolate, salted chocolate, banana bread and chocolate mint are…

Do you guys make your own almond butter and dark chocolate almond butter? Are both vegan and do both not have any added sugars?

Hi Chloe. Great question! We do not make the almond butters - both are vegan and the regular almond butter does not contain any sugar (the dark choc one does). If it is a house made, vegan, sugar free sauce you are after our chocolate magic sauce…

Pros: + Good service + Clean place + Lots of vegetarian and vegan options + The Thai Fried Chicken was delicious and balanced! + Food presentation was excellent Cons: - Food was dry. - The Endive Cups were dense and needed some sauce. - The Mung Bean Croquette - although not bad - felt more like a fast food item; it too was dry and although the sauce and presentation were nice, it's not something to re-order. - The Meang Kham wasn't bad either, I appreciated the different flavors but for the price - as an appetizer - no. - The biggest negative were the prices. They were set as upscale, and fine dining, but the place was just average and the foods - at least what we ordered - not that good. Granted there were many options and the others might have been better, but I get the feeling this place is more about the food presentation rather than the quality of the food focused. For ~$100 (3 appetizers and 1 main entree) I left somewhat hungry. I feel there are hole-in-the wall vegan/vegetarian places that would be much better. It's a nice place but it's more show than substance (given the costs). 3.5/5

Everything was fresh, good portions and most importantly actually flavorful. The Seoul Bowl was the healthier option and still had plenty of flavor. The Po Boy sandwich was my fav.. not exactly "health food" but not overly heavy either. Just the right balance. I had never tried pea protein shrimp before so I was a little skeptical but it was surprisingly delicious and worked really well in the sandwich. We both like our food spicy and they were great about customizing it for us. They added jalapeños to my sandwich and gave us spicy mayo on the side which pretty much made the meal perfect for our taste. The grilled organic tempeh was the only thing I personally found a little bland but my wife really liked it so probably more of a preference thing than an issue with the dish. The Sunset Smoothie was thick, tasted great and was a very good portion. Yes, prices are definitely on the higher side but unlike some other places in the area where you pay premium prices and leave wondering why, here the portions and especially the quality made it worth it.
