The potatoes and green beans were tasty. Still not worth $35, especially at a a market with horrible, nonexistent service. Not one person greeted me with a smile, or looked happy, or provided warm or efficient service. Utter fail here. The cashier signed me up for the "free" trial membership and urged me to get the "free" monthly drink. She asked for the manager's assistance with the process but the manager wasn't helpful at all. He told her to send me to the drink bar. I went to the drink bar and they said they didn't know what I was talking about so I went back to the cashier. The cashier who attended to me was suddenly gone. I asked the new attendant to help me and he grabbed a manager who told me to go back to the drink bar. I again repeated my situation and this young lady just shrugged and told me to wait. I then waited for about 10-15 minutes (way too long) for an awful tasting "tonic". Fool me once, shame on you. Food me twice, shame on me. Never again.

Finally, eggs were put on the table cold. Sent them back. Server seemed even more put out. Took at least 10 more minutes for them to be set in front of me again. They were warm. The beans tossed on top of them were not. Bread and salad were boring. The soup was hot and tasty, though. That was the last we saw the server until we requested the check. That took another 10 minutes or so. We had parked right across the street. Coffee, soup and one plate of meh eggs later, we had 16 minutes left on the two-hour meter. Do the math on that quick lunch. Service was good, no complaints and attentive. The only complaint here is the price -- it's just a little much, but that probably is due to the area it is in. My smoothie was absolutely delicious, like a jolt of energy! Late Night Date Smoothie | Cute name & right away, the ingredients had me at hello, especially when the fruit Medjool dates were mentioned! I love dates, so yummy! This smoothie packs a powerful punch, almost felt like liquid energy & helped with my jet lag almost immediately on my second visit in July! Busy Bee | My friend and I were grateful to arrive at a time where there was only one person in front of us, and several people waiting! She enjoyed The Green Monster Drink! However, on my next visit, with major jet lag from traveling throughout Indonesia and South Korea, but craving a smoothie, there was an hour wait! Note | While I know of another popular place where everyone gets smoothies, in my opinion, this smoothie is the best! I've tried both! Also, incredibly flavorful and not too sweet, like the other! Also, glad I brought along my thick, reusable glass straw! Customer Service | Super friendly on both visits, in June and July! On my first visit, woman at the counter, helped me decide on a smoothie, because there were just so many options! I told her to make it in a way that she loves and it was perfect, and I got the same thing on my second visit! Gentleman at the counter on my second visit was super friendly as well! The tall gentleman making the smoothie seems very chill and relaxed! All-around good vibes here! Even people waiting in the line were friendly on both visits! Overall | Yes, please! I'm already craving another flavorful smoothie as we speak, as the smoothies are fueled with goodness! I'm going to make myself try another flavor with a cute name on my next visit! Let's go!

But everything is super fresh and they have every salad bar option you could ever possibly imagine plus some you might not -- like their special already made salads. They also have soup, bread, make your own sammies and smoothies, plus tons of chips and snacky snacks. My lessons learned after a few visits to the salad bar -- choose the smallest container possible (it will still cost LOL), don't come unless you want to wait in a line of hungry corporate business folks between 12-1 (I have seen the line go out the door) -- actually my advice is go early because later on everything is picked over (although the staff are really good about filing the salad bar items). Also everyone who works there is super friendly and super busy! This used to be my favorite spot for arepas, but after today's experience, I won't be coming back…read more I called ahead and clearly explained my order: three arepa orders, with one having the masa scooped out. I also specifically asked about the price and was told it would be $13 per order, consistent with what's listed online. However, when I arrived, I was told the orders would be charged separately, and the employee became visibly frustrated when I asked for clarification and requested that everything be grouped as discussed. What made the situation worse was the pricing. I was charged $15 per order, which didn't match what I was told over the phone, nor what's listed online or even on Yelp (where it shows around $10). When I politely questioned the discrepancy, the employee became argumentative and made the interaction uncomfortable. I paid, because that's not the issue--but being treated dismissively and feeling misled is. Pricing should be consistent and clearly communicated, and customers shouldn't feel like they're being taken advantage of for asking reasonable questions. Really disappointing experience from a place I used to enjoy.

I had a Cold Brew and Chicken Arepas. I enjoyed their refreshing cold brew coffee drink but so much on the pollo arepas. Its chicken was dry; arepas outside was crispy and crunchy but the inside was not moist. Moreover, their size was bloody small. Cafe's interior was naturally bright and aesthetically decorated. Indoor/outdoor seats were comfortable. Prices of the drinks were fair, however, arepas seem expensive. Service was on point. Staff were cordial. Free wifi. Plenty of street parking. Overall, it's a nice coffee shop.
