I hired Gervais Lawn Care last fall to do some cleanup and plantings for me. The cleanup was reasonably done. The plantings, however, have caused me some concern. First, the plantings were not started until some time after we originally agreed. Brian Gervais assured me, by phone, that it would be fine. Second, because he started so late, the plantings that had been agreed to had to be adjusted, because some of the ones originally proposed were no longer available. Worst of all, come spring, many of the plantings did not survive. Specifically, not a single one of the ornamental grasses that were planted survived. (The viburnum are doing well, though.) Unfortunately, I agreed that the plants would only be guaranteed for 30 days after planting, so Gervais Lawn Care has no legal responsibility. (My own fault.) However, if every single ornamental grass did not come back, I'd think a responsible contractor would feel some moral responsibility. Anyway, I'm out the cost of those grasses (including the cost of planting them), and I will have to replace them.

I emailed you multiple times during October explaining the winterization process and the importance of doing it correctly. You did not use us for the winterization thus the warranty is void. I will not budge on this issue, if you would like to take this to the next step, sue me. I'd love to spend the day in court with you. Thank you, Brian Gervais" Judge it for yourself! For me it is the worst company.

Stay away from Aqualite - over $12,000 in losses!…read more I purchased Aqualite's system trusting their promises of water quality and technical support. The financing was $12,500, and frustratingly, since installation, the system has never worked as it should. The water remains dirty, with a bad taste and odor, and there has been no noticeable improvement. I have children at home and now a pregnant wife. Since we can't live with such unfit water, and after numerous attempts to contact them, they finally promised to send a local company to remove their system and install a new one. On the scheduled day, with the company already inside my home, Aqualite failed to pay for the service, and I was forced to cover $14,500 out of my own pocket for a new system -- all due to the lack of responsibility and professionalism from Riely, the owner, who constantly makes promises he doesn't keep. In short, I lost $14,500 because of Aqualite. A massive financial loss caused by a company that offers no support, doesn't fulfill its commitments, and shows zero respect for the customer. I will take legal action to defend my rights, but I'm making my indignation and frustration clear here. I absolutely do not recommend this company. Stay away from Aqualite!
