Lawnmark Plus Why do they continue to be my lawn servicing company. I have used such services for probably 30 years, and I hired this out because I'm not good at it. I'm not even sure you can do it as economically as letting a pro do it and I attempted it for a number of years. Once I choose to go with pros it really came to down to three things results, the way the lawn looks, price and service. My lawn continues to look great and easy to compare as my neighbor continues to self-treat and it is clearly superior in this side-by-side comparison. Price is what moved from my previous company. Now I'm not saying they are the cheapest out there, but they are clearly in a competitive position in the market. I normally get quotes every three years. Service is always tricky because it means different things to different customers. For me my expectations for my lawn care company are to let me know when they are coming, let me know and provide the services to be delivered, let me know my pricing for the upcoming season. What I don't want is the tech knocking on my door at every treatment wanting to upsell on something, this is what drove my pricing issue with my previous company. Lawnmark delivers all these things! Business relationships are like all relationships at times have bumps in the road. It is how these are handled determines if the relationship will continue forward. This was such a year with us. I got my estimate for the upcoming year and was shocked at the increase. I wrote an email and within 2 days I had a reply. It explained how the bill is prepared and the flexibility I had to modify it to fit my current year's needs, done. I have been using Lawn Mark Plus for years. My lawn continues to look amazing. This was a raining season in NH and we had some fungal issues. I placed a service call to come check these patches. They are always responsive to questions, service calls and reviewing lab reports of our soil. They sent a Sr Tech Rebecca who really worked hard to take corrective action both cure thw fungal issues and add fresh compost and seed. While on site, we had a long talk about what could be done differently next season, and that's when we decided to move to full organic from a Hybrid program. Caused property damage and now refuse to repair this damage. See the Google review for photos of the damage. There maybe a long rebuttal with a lot of excuses about why they are not responsible for this damage, but you should know our story. Our mistake was going with this company for lawn care. We were working from home one day, when we saw a scared young guy ringing our door bell. When we came out, we saw that he had tried to back-in to a part of our driveway which was clearly too small for his truck. This truck was loaded with the liquids they spray - so very heavy. As you can see from the photos, it broke the manhole cover and caused some pavement damage. When we called them, they were all nice and saying that they would take care of it. We made the mistake of believing them because of the other good vendors we have worked in this area - who have given us great service and fixed things if necessary. Here are the guys with big trucks who have navigated this driveway by coming straight in, and going straight out - the snow plowing guy, the landscaper, the guy who blows out the sprinklers for the winter, the solar installers - you name it, they all have had trucks and come in and gone out for ~10 years without any issues. We should have called the police and reported the property damage. Next time we will. Long story short, my wife had hired this company and after that first day, initial calls they were rude and condescending to her. After that I had to talk and email them because she did not want to. They said they will take care of it - they never did. We gave the measurements for a new cover - they got one of obviously the wrong size (too small) - they should have got that refunded because they probably got a different size from what they had ordered - now they blame us for it. We are not pavers, neither are we man hole experts. Even then, the cover they got shipped was too small to fit in the hole. After many weeks, we had to call them after they did not properly respond to emails - they said they will talk to a paver to get this fixed. Now almost a month later, they are basically refusing to fix the damage because we are somehow responsible for the damage they did. - Their driver was young, scared and inexperienced - it was evident on the day of the incident. - He tried to back-in to a space clearly not big enough for his truck - not our mistake. - This has never happened before with any other vendor we have done work with. I called them today, and they told me someone will call back, but the owner emailed me in a very rude way. I guess if you want to justify anything, in your mind you can. No matter what they justify as response to this comment, remember if this happens to you, you are screwed basically. read more
