Went in for an inspection and my car ended up failing because my back brake pads needed to be replaced, It was fine until I was asked "if I knew anything about cars" and "rotors aren't important for car inspections but you should get them done anyway" then was quoted $589 for their gold plan.... Ummm no.... I politely declined took that rejection sticker and went to my OG place to get the brake pads replaced for $150 also my rotors were fine just a little discolored anyway after that was done I got them reinspected and passed so idk a win is a win just with a little leg work read more

The service was horrible today. Dropped my daughters truck off for an inspection and was told about wn hour. Called after the hour and not even started yet but "we are next". Do not bring your car to this place. I am applaud by what has been discovered! They were supposed to replace the filter for my ford F-150, what they did was jammed a filter that was no the correct size into the car rendering unusable and such terrible service. They also claimed to replace the coolant but it was further inspected by a reputable facility and it shows that to be false. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE! We took my husband's vehicle here to get new brakes (pads & rotors). When we picked his vehicle up the guy said, "I think your master cylinder may be going out." One would think that a reputable mechanic would actually KNOW if the master cylinder was going out, not just "think." Coming from a long line of mechanics and car people, I (a female, even though the manager of this place talks to women like they're stupid) knew this sounded off and consulted with a friend at a local dealership. The dealership checked things out and confirmed my suspicions. This place is either 1) the most incompetent mechanics I've ever encountered; or 2) they are crooks and trying to swindle people. Their screw-up/shady business could have had catastrophic results, had my husband's brakes seized from not only the air in the lines (which they swore they bled), but the improperly reassembled master cylinder and brake system. We will never darken the door of this place again, and I would never recommend anyone else to either. read more

Came here to get my car inspected. Dropped it off and went to grab a bite to eat at the local heartache on a plate. Happily anout 25 minutes later my phone rang and the service writer advised me my car had failed inspection. Not too overly shocked i asked what the issue was and she informed me that i would need just over $1000.00 worth of repairs done to my brakes. Holding back my anger I informed the service writer that I would be back to pay the $16.00 for the inspection and would like my car back. At which point she noted that they would have to put a rejection sticker on my car, I didn't care. I had just replaced the breaks 2 days before having the car inspected ( they functioned properly) I returned to work finished my day and on the way home bought a $2.00 can of brake cleaner, sprayed all 4 discs and calipers and took the car for re-inspection about 4 days later... it passed. No need for new calipers, roters or to replace the bran new brake pads... savings 1000.00+ go me. read more

I've never written a bad review for a company but I felt that I needed to with Tune Up Plus in Chesapeake. I went to the them because my vehicle needed new brakes/roters. I ended up paying them over $1,300 for that single service which took ALL day when I was told it would take 2-3 hours. As soon as I left my brakes started making a terrible sound. I thought it would go away within a couple days. After the sound NEVER went away but actually got worse, I took my vehicle back in because obviously something was not done right. They said my rear calipers were "locked up" and with my type of vehicle, would probably cost around $1,100!! Are you kidding me?? This is their problem, not mine! After I refused, they then quoted me a price of $675 plus $99 brake flush. Still, are you kidding me? One other time, prior to the brake situation, I had a flat tire. They were nice, could get me in the next day to put a new tire on... I kid you not, this process took at least 8 hours!! And they were not busy at all. I seriously don't know what those guys really do in there. During that visit, the guy at the front who looked like he hasn't slept in days was incredibly unprofessional. He was speaking to his manager or some "higher up" on the phone right in front of me about how he was trying to get more services done to make more money, it was obvious the guy was reaming him out about productivity. I do not recommend going there for anything more than a State Inspection or possibly as oil change, however I'm not sure they can be trusted to actually change your oil. read more

I bought their groupon and took my vehicle here for an oil change and tire rotation. Later that day, I noticed that they did not change my oil filter! I did not live in the area and had to return home that night. I called the next day and told them about this. The manager claimed that they did change it. I asked them what brand they use so I could compare. The brand he told me did not match the brand that was still in my car (although I already knew this). He told me that there's nothing he can do since I don't live in the area. I called their customer service department who told me that they need to look at the car to determine whether the filter was changed. They offered a free oil change but I wouldn't accept it because I do not trust them with my vehicle. So now I have to take it to another shop and pay for someone else to change my filter. Never once did I get an apology. I will never be returning. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't rotate my tires either. All I wanted is a refund and compensation for the money I have to spend on getting my filter replaced at another shop. The only helpful and kind person I talked to was a lady who works in the customer service center named Corissa. read more
