The drinks were good. A bit pricy, but good. The mood was just right and the food was great

So good! The mole enchiladas are so good they have a little spice to them, the guac with the pork belly is a good starter and Tomahawk was perfect the tostaditas are also a fav! The place is really nice too!

This has become my new favorite restaurant at Westgate. We went for my birthday dinner and I have been here one other time in the past and it was great. It's a little more pricy than other places, but I will say that speaks to the quality of the food and drink. I had the tacos and they were great. Our server was amazing and the overall vibe is amazing. The restaurant is beautiful and we will be back!

Let's just start off with the obvious that the ambiance and decor is aesthetically pleasing, however, everything else was a disappointment. First maybe where we went wrong was getting sushi at a Mexican restaurant, but maybe don't offer sushi if you can't make it good. It's just a bad business model. As for the chile relleno, I wish the poblano was roasted more but overall good but very very cheesy. As for the price point, pricey for the quality of food. $17 for Tito's soda ?? Not even a specialty drink

ceviche was good! drink was also really good! service was very attentive and very nice. It was pretty and modern inside. Prices were okay, a little on the pricier side.

Nice place. The interior is beautiful. Service is crazy fast and attentive. Modern Mexican in that they have some classics while also having sushi on the menu. Asked what their signature dish was and it was a Chicken Mole Enchiladas. The dish is gorgeous. See picture below. But it came out room temperature and the Mole was a mild Mole versus that deep rich complex Mole that I was expecting. The place was crowded so give them a try and maybe I just got an off dish that night.

The ambiance at Talum modern Mexican was really nice, the service was friendly. But most of the food was no bueno. The margaritas were pretty good though, and I got a spicy cucumber drink as well which was good. I honestly wouldn't come back here most likely, maybe if they would add live entertainment or something to go with the drinks, but not to eat. They even left my item that I sent back because it was so bad, on the bill and didn't take it off. Not very hospitable.

We came on a slammed night due to a concert with no reservations and a large party. It was the only place in nearby area where we did not have to wait 2 hours to get seated. So we were happy to be able to get seated. However, they were short handed and service was not pretty much nonexistent. We were a party of 7 and they gave chips and salsa with hardly any chips for the seven of us. The waiter finally came like 20 min later to take our orders. Our party ordered drinks which seem to take another 20 minutes to get. I appreciated the fire dancer as entertainment while we waited on our food. The food and drinks seemed overpriced for the size you got. But it was just enough to feel satisfied. Don't expect leftovers to take home. My chicken tacos were good tasting but not great. The beans on the side were boring and bland. I ordered a soda and got no chance to get a refill. I will say the ambiance is nice and has an exotic island feel to it. Having been to the actual Tulum myself, the ambience didn't match up but it was still a nice place. The plate of tacos and a soda cost me $26 not including tip. Presentation of the food was nothing special. Thrown on a plate. Overall I found the place mediocre and this my rating.

    Sad chicken quesadilla.

Overpriced for the most basic dishes. The place is very lonely even on an Saturday afternoon. The drinks are pretty much just juice.

When we arrived, we were told the wait was one hour and decided to go to the bar to start. BEST DECISION EVER! The absolute best service ever! Marissa and the other bartender (I didn't get her name, but sweet and awesome!) They took such good care of us, we will definitely come back next year. Menu recommendations: the beer battered cheese curds, brownie and creme brûlée deserts. The entrees and drinks we ordered were off a seasonal menu, but I'm sure the regular menu is similarly great. Make sure you get the cheese curds though! Chef's kiss

Downstairs host was nice, asked if we wanted to eat upstairs or down. We decided upstairs. They just told us to head up and talk with the host. We went up. Someone from the bar did shout hi! There was no host seen. There was a handful of workers chatting at the bar even the downstairs host came up and walked by us to join the group chatting. Upstairs had 2 tables of 6-10 people, a handful of small parties outside. We stood there for 4-5 minutes before someone in a St. Patrick's day outfit running food said someone would be with us shortly. Waited another few minutes before the host emerged from the bathroom and sat us. Both my husband and I waited tables and I bartended before (10 years experience). We have a lot of patience and understanding. We were sat and not immediately greeted but a woman came up and quickly dropped water off. Her body language was dismissive and only said just "dropping off water". I really thought it might have been another host or busser, that was tired of getting mistaken for a sever. I brushed it off. We waited so much longer before our server (happened to be the same girl that dropped off the water) came back to take our drink order. She was cold and didn't make eye contact. She was very short with us. Left to put the drink order in. She did bring the kids their soft drinks, but again with an attitude. It was as if we were ruining her day by coming in. 10 min went by. In that time, we saw her walk by and again avoid eye contact. Not even a "your bar drinks are being made", or "I am just going to run these dishes back and come back to take your order. " A really nice bartender came back and started talking with us about baseball because we were coming from a spring training game. After waiting longer and still no sign our server was going to come back in a timely manner, I told my husband, that I would rather leave now and not let this server ruin our experience. There are plenty of places around that I would rather give my money too and they will treat us better. We left, on our way out we did let a manager know. They did apologized and asked where we were sitting. Two stars for the nice female bartender that was decked out in St. Patrick's day attire upstairs. Rating is strictly for service because we didn't get to try anything. I am willing to give this place another try. I will update my review if we do.

Was visiting peoria and wanted to end my night in a cigar lounge and was happily surprised to see this one about five minutes away. As soon as I saw the location I probably should have known better. Entertainment district full of people and neon lights. They don't even need street lamps. Good if you are out to play but I was more focusing on "lounge" Inside was small. Kinda crowded if there was 10 peeps in there. Very much a focus on bar with a smaller walk in humidor compared to the other shops I've been to in the Phoenix area. All in all the place is fine. Walked in the humidor finding the usual suspects in vitolas. I asked the cashier if there were any new cigars referring to newly released cigars of course. He asked me when I was there last and I said first time. His answer "then they are all new". Didn't say another word. I repeat DIDNT SAY ANOTHER WORD Took a bit to find something I haven't tried before. Everything was overpriced but considering location rent is probably a lot so I guess not overly so. Decided I would smoke at home rather than stay there. Probably should have walked out but in spite of the snark I support B&M. But I won't be back. Good luck on that business model Fine Ash Lost the second star for employee lying in the reply. Otherwise 2 stars

I was seeing a show at the Desert Diamond Arena and the Carousel bar was directly across from the entrance. At first they sat us outside but after asking if they had table service they told us to move inside. Waitress was extremely friendly and the service was pretty good. Drinks were super expensive but also delicious. We got these pickle bombs and they were soo good -- We ate them so quickly I forgot to take a picture. Reason for the three stars is the rest of the food was average, prices were high and both tables we sat at were super wobbly. I was wondering the reason for the name because at first I thought it was an arcade bar -- but they had no arcade games inside -- just a bar in the shape of a carousel -- or maybe it was an old carousel? It was pretty cool looking and the decor was pretty kitchy. Overall it was an average experience -- I would go back for the pickle bombs though!!

The hostess told us they were cleaning off a table for four and it would be a few minutes. Another group of four men walked in and sat down at the table, never even stopped at the hostess stand. Extremely rude as we were waiting for that table. The hostess never got her manger or asked them to move, instead apologized to us and asked us to wait another 10 minutes for a table that was paying their bill. Not the way to handle that situation. We finally sit down and then order a bottle of champagne. Our server comes back a while later and tells us we're not allowed to order bottles of champagne unless it's during brunch, it does not say that anywhere on the menu! So we order glasses of champagne instead. Our server leaves and comes back a while later with only one half glass of champagne and said that's all we have left and we won't charge you for it, but we actually were charged for a full glass of champagne on our bill. We ordered the home made chips and salsa that took forever to arrive at our table. When they did it was basically a tray of chips. The chips were good, but where's the salsa? It came with two small 2 oz condiment cups of salsa. Normally you have to ask for more chips, here you don't get any salsa! When our server came back we asked her if we could put in an order for their flatbread pizza. She was honest and said it would be a very long time before it would come out if we're trying to make the concert on time, so she didn't recommend it. We appreciated her honestly, but how long does a cheese flatbread really take? Unfortunately we will not be returning to Carousel before or after any events we attend at Westgate.
