Tulua Bowl made hot and fresh
    Tiffany B.

I had an early morning appointment that ended before I had to start work, so I decided to treat myself to a weekday brunch - a rare opportunity for me. I'm so glad I decided on Tula Bistro! There was lively music playing and it was a great vibe inside. I sat at the bar and was helped by Brian, who was amazing. I ordered a coffee and the Tulua Bowl. The coffee was hot and fresh, and the bowl was cooked very well with fresh ingredients. The grits in the bowl did not have a lot of flavor, however the fresh toppings definitely helped and made it a solid dish. Overall I had a great weekday brunch and the vibe from the music and Brian sent me off to work in an upbeat mood.

5 stars again!! Our food was great!! We love Tulua Bistro!! We had a taste for some good brunch, so we checked Yelp and Tulua came up, the ambiance was amazing, the music was good, we love art work on the walls. The service was good, our server was great. We will be back.

We stopped in for a quick bite. The staff was running around because they were trying to accommodate large groups coming in to eat. The coffee was delicious! The decor is fun and bright. I had the veggie bowl served over grits and it was a large portion and flavorful. The omelette lacked substance and filler. The toast options are very limited. I would give this place a second chance but I wasn't wowed.

This cute little bistro definitely had some Fun pizzaz to it and the food was delicious as well. Located at Jacksonville Beach 3rd street at the south beach center. Inside- Cute murals on wall and woke culture implemented. I thought the names of the menu items were fun as well. I loved the quote from Ru Paul that states ' If you can't love yourself, how the hell are you gonna love somebody else?! . Menu items such as slutty potatoes, wake and bake, not your basic bi*ch had me chuckle. Food- I ordered the crab cake Benedict. Very delicious! The crab cake was tender and flavorful with the hollandaise sauce and side of grits on an English muffin. The grits were creamy as well. Service was attentive and they answered any questions asked. They also have bottomless mimosas from 8 am to 2 pm. Overall, definitely a fun place to try.

What a cute brunch spot! Came here with some friends and we got the mystery breakfast platter to share. It had just about everything you could think of for breakfast items, and it was yummy! I would love to try the drag brunch soon!

I had such a fun time here! The breakfast boards are creative and presented so epically. I would recommend for a special occasion and can't wait to go back for a drag brunch. Heads up: your entire party must be present to be seated.

When you first walk in, the decor is so bright and inclusive. Our server, Bryan aka Beans, was sweet and attentive. I got the Not Your Basic B**ch with over easy eggs, feta, and crispy bacon atop avocado , with pico on top of hashbrown patties with a delightful balsamic drizzle. They have various events and specials advertised when you come in on a few blackboards. I'm sad I wasn't able to imbibe in their mimosas since I was heading back home, but I will try them next time. I highly recommend visiting here if you're in the mood for a good brunch and vibe.

The service was good and the place was a nice hangout. I ordered the chef choice board and the food was good but it was too greasy (the pancakes as well) and the harsh brown was WAY TO seasoned.

Our empty Breakfast Board! (Meant to get a pic before, it was too good)

We got the small Breakfast Board for the two of us and it was perfect!!! Super delicious, I LOVE the pancake dippers- so neat! I've come a couple times and usually able to be seated pretty quickly even during peak hours! Such good vibes, queer friendly (obvi- drag brunch)

Food was good, service amazing, and ambiance lively and fun! Came for drag brunch hosted by Lady Visaya and the show was ON POINT! SO much fun. I totally recommend coming for a drag brunch! Ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and it was good but could've used a bit more salt. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and serving size was good. The side of grits was creamy too, but I asked for cheese in my grits and didn't get any. I would still try more on their menu for sure. The service was awesome. They were attentive and friendly! The drag show was the main event and Lady Visaya was the star of the show! So beautiful and absolutely entertaining. Had so much fun watching the performance to hit 2000s songs. Very nostalgic. The crowd was fun and diverse and the show was interactive. Go here for a fun brunch day!

I'm not sure about celiac safety - however I had the not your basic b**ch hash browns and they were good. The vegetarians were very happy, the little one was beyond spoiled and the carnivores were in heaven! Prices are on par with portion sizes. Food was fresh, service was friendly and on top of everything! Inside was quaint, fun and clean! Jhada provided good service and was helped by another who was equally as good. :)

Small chef's board: French toast, bacon, hash browns, shrimp and grits, oblong pancakes stuffed with bacon, fruits

Food: Beautiful on the outside AND inside. We had the chef's choice breakfast board which is randomized for EACH customer; it's a surprise even for the waiters. It turned out to be a wonderful surprise including crispy seasoned hash browns, oblonged shaped pancakes stuffed with hidden bacon, more bacon, browned French toast, shrimp and grits, and fruits. Everything on the board was exceptional. The only critique I would give are the grits; it needed more salt which I simply adjusted with table salt on the side. Very reasonably priced for the board; $30 and fed 2 people. Service: Standard nice waitress that checked frequently. Ambiance: colorful with the LGBT decor, plants, and wall art (even the menu had some fun LGBT items haha). The only critique I would give is the odor of the place, but maybe it was because we were seated near the bathroom. Edit: forgot to mention I RARELY give 5/5 reviews and I rarely eat breakfast/brunch, but this place made me realize breakfast can be great and not just some generic IHOP or maple street. Please show this local shop some love especially if you stop near the beach!!

Springfield platter: grits, eggs, bacon and a warm biscuit or sub for pancakes/french toast.
    Monique M.

The food was amazing I ordered the Springfield platter and substitute the biscuits for french toast a the charge was worth it. They also have bottles mimosas which makes waiting for food more pleasurable. Back to the French toast a chefs kiss. The service and atmosphere is worth returning for, very quick service for Saturday brunch.

    Do they take reservations?

No - you have to be present to put your name on the list.

How many people will the large breakfast board feed?

I would say easily 6 to 8 adults . When I went there only four of us and there were a lot of leftovers.

    Do they have bottomless mimosas?

    Yes! Last time we checked.

They advertised on…read moreFacebook for Holiday carryout meals and we wanted to try something different this year (it was Publix last year). Having read that Metro Diner specialized in the comfort meal American food area, I felt that would be the choice for a great Thanksgiving dinner - at least a lot of potential. This review basically focuses on the carryout process and dinner prep and eating. It was easy to sign up for the dinner of my choice. I chose the 4-person meal package. There were options for larger groups, or for single as well. You get to make some picks on certain items. I chose to have the classic turkey dinner that included stuffing, white mashed potatoes, and green beans. Mexican corn was attractive, but I don't live in San Diego anymore! LOL. Of course, when you're from Detroit, you better have some cranberry sauce too! The meal was basic and certainly I could have picked up other things in area grocery markets if I had chosen to. My time for pickup was 11 am Thanksgiving Day. I got there 10 minutes early and it was PACKED with people dining in when I got there. It was very impressive. ALL the servers were intensely on the move but for all the busyness, the employees, customers at the tables and those waiting seemed pretty happy for the most part. After a few minutes inside, I let them know my name and order and thought the wait would take a while due to the crowd size. It didn't! It was totally on time! Kudos to Metro Diner for expertly handling such an astoundingly heaving number of customers on this day! When you get the carryout Thanksgiving meal, it's prepped for you in aluminum containers. You receive instructions on how to cook them and how long with the package. We were eating after around an hour and a half after baking and it was pretty much what I was hoping for! They gave lots of turkey! I think they brined it up pretty well - it was delicious! The potatoes, stuffing and green beans were awesome as well. I would say the gravy was overly salty, but other than that, I look forward to doing this again sometime. I do plan to go back and get an inside the eatery experience after the Holiday Season. But for now, I have much gratitude to Metro Diner for giving us a GREAT Thanksgiving Day dinner for 2025! Recommend: VERY HIGH
