Spinach & Artichoke Dip (GS)
Ethan W.

First off I want to recognize our waiter Matt who's service was excellent as he had a very nice personality and was very attentive. We tried a few new apps (spinach and artichoke dip & Shanghai spicy shrimp) which were pretty good. I don't know if I would jump to get them again but wouldn't be mad if they were ordered for the table.

Tavern Steak Salad was amazing! Free terrific popcorn. Great service and friendly sports bar atmosphere.

Tenders and Mozzarella Sticks

Our new family favorite. Prices are decent and can't go wrong with crispy tenders. Love, love, love their homemade desserts. They have peanut butter sauce and the servings are HUGE - big wins in my eyes. Service is always great - fast with appropriate check backs. Would love it if they brought back supporting JDRF (which is now called Breakthrough T1D) during a certain time of the year.

Kid's Mac And Cheese

Tullys is tullys but man there aren't a lot of kitchens open near the airport past 10pm. This fit the bill, got some tenders and wanted some mac and cheese but not a full order. Waitress mentioned I could order a kid's mac and cheese as a side. Excellent suggestion by her. Was still busy around 10:30 PM on a Saturday so didn't feel like an asshole ordering.

Louisiana Louisianna Crab Dip

Didn't feel like cooking this cold winters day so the whole crew wound up at Tully's for a quick meal. I think everyone had that feeling as the parking lot was full. We were seated within a couple minutes and our waitress had the food and drink order taken quickly thereafter. The dining area was relatively clean and there are tv screens everywhere you look. We opted for an appetizer dinner, ordering up some Louisiana crab dip, chicken and cheese, then a taco pizza. The little yelper requested Tullys tenders. The dip was a rich and creamy blend of cheese and meat, with some chips. Pretty decent option. The chicken and cheese was a few tenders and mozzarella sticks. Those are always a favorite. Fried to perfection, nice crispy. The taco pizza , was ok. A bit bland In my opinion but it was ok. The little yelper was pretty into her tenders, she gave them a thumbs up. Will we be back, definitely, will we make some Different menu selections, sure. But a good place for a quick bite to eat.

Smokin' Little Diner - BBQ breakfast with brisket

When you drive by, if this place doesn't immediately spark your curiosity I'd be surprised…read more.. listen, stop and go inside! I really like this diner. It's got a vibrant rustic-can, loud but comfy feel to it. The place looks cool inside and out, you just know this greasy spoon is going to have good food and it doesn't fail to provide it either! You can order anything and leave happy (from the apple pie to the pig, beef and chicken sandwich). They have booth seating, counter seating for one (or two) and offer outdoor seating with a little picnic table, shaded area and they also accept cash/credit. On the menu, there's pig, beef and chicken items, even a fish fry. They're great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with or without friends/family. Known for their BBQ, in a variety of flavors, it's simply finger-licking delicious! I like coming here for breakfast mostly, love me some good home fries and a juicy steak. Portions are large and filling. I've also ordered take-out and picked up my order, the staff is super friendly and there's such an upbeat vibe to the place.

Phenomenal food and prices!…read more I got a double bacon burger topped with onion rings, pulled chicken, and brisket that was HUGE! I had to hunch over to take a bit so I didn't get it all over me... great flavor and very delicious. It was a crazy order for me bec I usually keep it simple but this was calling my name. My server was great. She was super attentive and made sure my cup was never out of water. (I usually drink water when dining out) The place is def little so it gets packed quick. A couple booths and a couple tables. Maybe 10 total. Parking can be very tight in front so go to the back or side. I'll be back to try other things.

Skoobs Village Grille - Chicken Finger Sub (tenders sauced w/"Jessie's Everything" specialty sauce, topped w/bleu cheese)

Walking around downtown Lancaster, I saw plenty of places to grab dinner. Running a search on my…read moreYelp app for best restaurant for dinner, Skoob's Village Grille popped up and all-in-all, it was a good experience. I walked in around 7:20pm on a Wednesday night to a busy restaurant and bar. I had no issues with parking as I used one of the public parking lots near downtown and took a short walk over, but if tried to find a parking spot on the street, that would've been pretty difficult. I did see the parking lot for a, now closed for good, Rite Aid that had a few cars and some open spaces, so that seems to be an option as well. Upon walking in there was a host station, which said to wait for the host to seat you. Past the host station, there is a good-size bar and several high-top tables and chairs, a separate dining room with plenty of tables and chairs for families/larger groups, as well as an outdoor patio with more high tables and chairs. Plenty of TVs were hung up around the bar/restaurant and classic rock was playing over the speakers, but it wasn't too loud, you could carry a conversation with relative ease. The hostess was going to seat me but then a random couple came, ignoring the sign, and took it that table... The hostess managed to find me another high-top table by their outdoor patio entrance. After I was seated, I was forgotten about for nearly 15 minutes. I was about ready to get up and leave when one of the waitresses going in/out of the patio stopped by and asked if anyone was taking care of me. She apologized and immediately took my drink order. Once I got my drink, I was about ready to order dinner but was undecided, so I asked her what's the more popular item and went with it. The wait for my dinner was a bit long, nearly 40 minutes passed by the time my dinner was brought out - At this point, it was after 8pm. For dinner, I ordered their Chicken Finger Sub, with the fingers sauced in their "Jessie's Everything" specialty sauce (a small upcharge) and topped with bleu cheese served with a side of fries. The chicken finger sub was excellent! The chicken tenders were fried perfectly and there was the right amount of lettuce, tomato, red onion. The "Jessie's Everything" sauce was great - It wasn't too spicy-hot, the sauce reminded me of a banana pepper. The Constanzo roll with the tomatoes on the bottom did make this sub a little hard to eat as the filling kept sliding around and falling out the sides, but it was worth the mess! The fries were fine, nothing special. Looking over my bill, I thought the price for my dinner was reasonable for the quality and quantity I received. Skoob's Village Grille nails the vibe of being the bar in a small town where everyone goes to for a drink, classic bar food, and to relax with friends. If I have one nitpick, I think the service times need to be looked at and improved. But even with that nitpick, I'd come back and try one of their burgers or an order of chicken wings with one of their specialty sauces!

We ordered takeout and it took about an hour or more before we could pick it up, but I guess that's just the usual Friday wait times these days. On to the fish fry. The fish was light and fluffy. It had really good flavor without being overpowering. The best part about the fish fry is the sides and this place doesn't skimp out on sides. A big serving of fries, potato salad, mac salad, coleslaw, and rye bread made this meal HUGE. They all tasted great. The fries were crispy and I like how they put tin foil between the fries and fish to keep them both fresh. Parking here is a little tricky on a busy Friday but the vibes in here are very old school bar and restaurant. We will definitely be back for more fish fry specials!
