I brought my ASUS laptop in because the processor was stuck at 0.4 GHz. At drop-off, it could boot…read moreand the main display worked. After their repair work, the main display no longer functioned. The manager confirmed in writing that the display worked after the initial cleaning, then failed while the laptop was still in their care. They also acknowledged that some liquid metal had been missed during the first cleaning and was discovered by a second technician. The shop attributes the display failure to a preexisting liquid metal leak, but also stated that they could not determine the exact sequence of events. They declined compensation for the display failure and said they could not source a replacement motherboard. Their proposed resolution was to waive the cleaning labor charge and refund the diagnostic fee. I was a returning customer and chose this shop again because I trusted them after a previous repair. That makes their handling of this situation especially disappointing. I entrusted them with an expensive laptop containing important study materials, and when its previously working main display failed during service, their proposed resolution was limited to refunding service fees. That trust is now gone.

I requested an appointment over email and Alan got back to me very quickly. He was able to get my laptop up and working again, remove my Windows password, and even performed a tune-up. I took it to Vicki and for a fair price... she retrieved all my old files and replaced the hard drive with a new and better one... made sure that my PC was compatible with Windows 7 before hand (and it was) and put Windows 7 Home Edition on it (my PC originally had XPService Pack 3 on it). She upated all my my drivers and and my RAM and now my old PC works like a charm. I still use it to this very day and I have had no problems with it. Her service is excellent.
