truly delicious food and really lovely service! The hummus is some of the best I've ever had. I loved the falafel sandwich, too!

We wanted to get quick food and saw the high ratings for this place and tried it. A lot of menu items I had to look up, which is always fun. Seems a fair amount of sausage ( no pork) options. And lamb tongue was on there. I wasn't sure what i would like so I went safe this time. They were really friendly and super patient with us trying to figure it out. Definitely a busy place for locals. Our food was flavorful. I didn't expect pickles on it and they worked! They pack the chicken in, no skimping for sure. There is limited indoor seating. And canned/bottle drinks. Probably more of a takeaway place.

Tuhama's is a tiny hole-in-the-wall that has some of the best shawarma sandwiches in the area. Both meat and chicken shawarma sandwiches have the perfect balance of meat, sauce (garlic in chicken, tahini in meat), and veggies (pickled cucumbers in chicken, pickled turnips, tomato, onion, parsley in meat). Both are absolutely delicious, I highly recommend any sandwich from here. They recently put the chairs and tables back down, so you can eat in if you desire.

I took my uncle here last night because he was craving a shawarma sandwich, and Dearborn is loaded with a lot of places that sell them. He travels around the globe a lot and loves coming to Dearborn because of all the amazing food options he has. I haven't been to Tuhama's but I've heard good things about it in the last so I thought I'd give it a go and take him. My uncle ordered a chicken shawarma and was in and out quickly and the price was good. When we got home and he tried it, he said the chicken was lacking in flavor, and after having a bite or two, I was pretty disappointed and embarrassed for taking him somewhere I haven't tried. The sandwich was overloaded with garlic sauce and still tasted bland/ not cooked long enough. We're just going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it was because of how late it was that the food quality was affected. I don't think I'll try them again but it was worth a shot

I tried their Tuhama's Chicken burger and their meat shawarma and boy was it good! I really loved their meat shawarma more than their chicken burger but they both were delightful. For sure the best meat shawarma I've had. The chicken burger for me was so good too but lacked more flavor. It was too plain and not seasoned enough but tasted still so good. Texture of the chicken was crunchy and moist. The wait does take a little long too but it's worth it.

Dearborn's Best Kept Secret This place definitely has the best sandwiches in town. Not too many people out side of Dearborn's Arab American community know about it, but this little hole in the wall restaurant will leave you satisfied and not break your bank.I agree the Shawarma sandwich being huge and great. I'll say it's the best deal to date filled with succulent marinated chicken that melts in your mouth. We been customers over a decade, place always filled with regular customers that truly know the very best in Dearborn. Today had the Mixed Shawarma OMG very best ever truly a must try. She had the Double Damn Patty Tuhumas Burger outstanding flavor. So great to see father n son working side by side, he will carry on the business for decades unlike so many businesses the kids have zero interest. Find them on Facebook, Yelp, Instagram and TripAdvisor. Show this small family business some LOVE.

Each shawarma sandwich was $6 which is pricy for Dearborn but the sandwich was very good. Great taste.

Sammich is a term reserved for only the holiest and mightiest of all sandwiches. Sandwiches make a good snack, but sammiches are forever. Sums it up perfectly. The Ontario sandwich is quite possibly the best sandwich I've ever had (in recent memory)! I am so glad I accidentally wandered into this spot. I was visiting the Arab American National Museum down the street and wanted to grab a quick bite and I didn't want McDonald's or Burger King. I thought...hmm a sandwich shop. Let's just grab a quick bite. I didn't know what to order so I ordered the Ontario and an iced caramel latte. Once the sandwich came out I thought," Hmm looks good." Then I took a single bite and OMG. The toasted crunch, the chipotle sauce, the perfectly sou vided chicken breast, and melted cheese...it was just an explosion of favor! The French fries were perfectly done and had a good crisp. The spot is quiet and comfortable. I could see myself coming back to enjoy a slow afternoon while eating a godly sandwich.

During that call, the hostess assured us that we would not be charged the $50 cancellation charge. As it turned out, we were able to come in that same evening and dined at the restaurant, first enjoying drinks in front of the fireplace then being serviced by our favorite waiter, Paul. Despite this, a $300 cancellation fee was later charged to our card. When I contacted the restaurant to resolve the issue, the matter was escalated to management. The response focused solely on reiterating the OpenTable cancellation policy, without addressing the specific circumstances: we called in advance, were told we would not be charged, and ultimately honored the reservation by dining that evening. We have also stayed at the hotel and previously rented the private dining room, so this was not a one-time visit. That history made the interaction particularly disappointing. Policies are important, but so is discretion and guest communication. In this instance, the service experience did not reflect the level of hospitality one would expect. I hope this feedback encourages a review of how guest concerns are handled moving forward.

Unfortunately the location in…read moreDearborn Heights just isn't somewhere I go very often so it's been stuck on my list for the longest time. They opened a second branch in East Dearborn recently which finally allowed me to give the subs a try. The restaurant itself is quite small and is mostly a takeout destination. There are only 14 seats in the small dining room, a small fridge stocked with drinks, and the order counter, from which you can see the kitchen. I went in on a very empty weekday lunch and got one item, which took about 10 minutes to come out: Lebanese Sub, Half ($8.99) - They toast this sub well, resulting in a very nice crunch on the exterior. Just be careful eating it - you can pretty easily lacerate your gums if you're not careful! The interior is moist for the most part, with a bit of a mild garlic and mayo mixture that covers all the ingredients. There's a double layer of grilled chicken breast that forms a base layer, followed by some fries that are crunchy on the exterior and fluffy on the interior, and finally a layer of crunchy and acidic pickles. The chicken is the weakest part of the dish - some pieces are overcooked, dry, and tough. It's most noticeable in the thickest areas where there's not enough mayo/garlic to add moisture to the sandwich. Still, overall I found the sub to be good and the ingredients all complemented each other well. Note: The little red tray that they served the sub in smelled heavily of bleach and my first couple of bites had a slight whiff of bleach thanks to that. If you eat here, I would recommend removing the food from the tray before eating. Zaghloul Subs is definitely worth a try.
