    Biscuit & Gravy
    Panette P.

Biscuits and gravy- Tasteless and doughy biscuit, runny tasteless gravy. The gravy was slopped on the side of the plate. They should have wiped the plate. Neither the cook nor the person that brought the order to the table bithered to wipe the plate. Obviously there's no quality control or training on restaurant practices. Service was quick and friendly, clean bathroom As I was ordering, a customer came in to return his drive-through order of a Rocket. He said it was ice cold in the middle. Ewww- frozen meat.

We were visiting the area and based on reviews decided Tudors was the place to go. They did not disappoint. My husband & I loved the breakfast sandwiches and home fries. The sandwich choices were a bit overwhelming but everything was delicious.

Biscuit review only: there was no way I could let a place called Biscuit World not be tried. If you ever have the opportunity to stop in here please do. These biscuits are not so much to look at but when I say they are one of the best I've ever had; soft, fresh, and savory. How good.. you don't need to put a thing on them; no butter, jelly or jam. They set the standard, no butter dripping just pure goodness. Next time I will grab a dozen and freeze them. AMAZING.

The name says it all; the menu is a multitude of biscuit combinations. I came here expecting to order very little and ended up placing a second order. There's nothing fancy or healthy about the food. But every now and then you need some good ol' country cookin' Staff is friendly and food comes out quick. I especially liked the Fried Apple Biscuit and the Potato Melt Biscuit!

Their breakfast burritos are good, but I do not care for their biscuits at all. I think they are bland.

The flap jack is like a McGriddle. Which is fine. And the biscuits and gravy is fine but the biscuits are kinda hard.

I used to travel and stop here often and it was amazing. The craft area of handcrafted merchandise has become not as sophisticated and high end workmanship. I noticed that change the last time I stopped through so that was disappointing. I used to often browse for gifts but that time nothing much to see. But on to my main thing -- the food. I'm actually heartbroken that now it's not in any way what it was. I learned that a few years back The Greenbrier Hotel stopped operating the dining room. And it shows -- they have remodeled and added tables. You no longer go through the cafeteria w the chance to see the grill and the food. And the food is pretty low to average score. The fried green tomatoes used to be pan cook w cornmeal and now battered and deep fried -- terrible the vegetable plate used to be amazing but barely edible. The cornbread used to be a large tender square delish but now a couple of tasteless muffins. My plate was served quickly and the food was barely warm. My friend's meal was very average, the salmon. The other was the soup and a side vegetable. Again average. I'm not sure why they lost The Greenbrier but it's not worth the cost. Still a nice place to walk around and stretch your legs but the food isn't worth the price and the crafts not at a high level. So a very disappointing meal. So you've been forewarned. All good things must come to an end.

Mind you, the restaurant was not packed, but they seated us in between two tables when there were at least 6 other open tables in the room. Server was quick, friendly. I ordered breadsticks, not realizing that they provide bread for the table (I made the assumption they didn't based on the menu having bread and breadsticks listed). The breadsticks were a very odd texture - seemed doughy but they were not undercooked, lots of butter & garlic. I had the stuffed shells for my entree. My salad consisted of lettuce and cut up tomatoes (which I hate), nothing more. Therefore I had lettuce with my French dressing. The entree came out quickly and looked great. However, the ricotta on the inside of the stuffed shells was super creamy and not very tasty. The sauce was ok, not sweet enough for my liking, but not bad either. The shells themselves were al dente, but seemed chewy. My husband had the shrimp cocktail, which he enjoyed. He ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti as his side. The chicken parm looked great, but seemed to be a frozen chicken patty that was deep fried and drenched in sauce/mozzarella. The spaghetti was pretty good. Overall, meh. Won't be back, but we had something to eat and supported local not a franchise so there's that.

This place is a bit of a delightful plot twist. From the outside, you might expect the usual--but step inside and suddenly you're in a cozy little universe where the cocktails are dangerously good (and somehow still kind to your wallet), the bar feels like home base, and the food? Way more scratch-made magic than you'd ever guess. And let's talk about Amy. If hospitality were an Olympic sport, she'd have a gold medal and a signature cocktail named after her.
