I first found out about Tudor's Biscuit World from a coworker who grew up in West Virginia. That was about 15 years ago. Now, whenever I'm in West Virginia, I try to stop by. Last week, my wife and I were down in Beckley to pick up our son from the Scout National Jamboree and decided to stop by the local Tudor's to get some breakfast sandwiches. I got the Tootie, Country ham, egg, & cheese on their own buttermilk biscuit and my wife got the Ron, Savory sausage, egg, & cheese on a biscuit. As usual, they were excellent. We ate in. The staff was very friendly and came around to refill my wife's coffee twice. The restaurant was clean, as were the restrooms. If you are in West Virginia, I'd highly recommend checking out Tudor's Biscuit World. They have the best breakfast sandwiches around. read more

The staff was very friendly even though they were short staffed they were doing their best! The food was good, I think my main suggestion for the biscuits is they need more butter! Although I don't eat eggs (not a fan) so I'm always happy when I can find a place that offers breakfast biscuits without eggs! This place isn't big but Beckley isn't a big city either. You can dine in or take out they have a drive thru window as well. Just a heads up there's a pizza place that occupies the other side of the building so there are two entrances although they share a dining room. read more

Maybe you need to know what to order. My first time here, the biscuit was good. The biscuit sandwich was not. Unmelted cheese, cold over-crisp, brittle bacon, and a lukewarm precooked egg. "Butter" was a vegetable oil spread. No butter for biscuits?? It will be a one-and-done for us, but I was generous with a three because of the biscuit itself. No butter, no bueno. read more

Their breakfast burritos are good, but I do not care for their biscuits at all. I think they are bland.

Biscuit World's entrance is on the left next to the drive through- Best damn biscuits (so says this southerner) did not need butter or jelly! The chicken on mine was delicious & tasted like it was fried in funnel cake batter! (I loved it!) HUGE biscuits! Large platter options seen ordered by neighboring guests - ambiance has smaller seating area shared with another food place (Gino's) but it seems like most people seem to choose the drive through. Had Tudor's at a Beckley location for first time. We took our food to go. We failed to see the excitement of food from Tudor's. I took one bite of a biscuit and it was like the bottom of the biscuit had been sitting in a tray of pure lard. It was thick on the bottom of the biscuit and disgusting in my mouth. I spit it out into a napkin and put it in the garbage. All of my food was disposed of and none of my family appeared to enjoy their food. It is hurtful to me just knowing so much food went to waste that day. The food would have been excellent had it been prepared and stored properly. I will never eat at a Tudor's Biscuit again. I am sorry but I am stating facts. Perhaps dining in might be better. read more

The biscuits are big! Very soft, just like a Southern biscuit should be. I got a biscuit with bacon, very well done of course, and a buttered biscuit. Had I recalled how large the biscuits were, I would have only ordered one, The staff was very friendly and obliging. Biscuits and gravy- Tasteless and doughy biscuit, runny tasteless gravy. The gravy was slopped on the side of the plate. They should have wiped the plate. Neither the cook nor the person that brought the order to the table bithered to wipe the plate. Obviously there's no quality control or training on restaurant practices. Service was quick and friendly, clean bathroom As I was ordering, a customer came in to return his drive-through order of a Rocket. He said it was ice cold in the middle. We went to Tudor's on Eisenhower on Wednesday of this week and ordered biscuits and gravy for my sister and myself. When we got them, both were cold. Should've sent them back and made it right, my mistake. One of my sisters friends and her husband went to the same store the week before and ordered beans and cornbread, also cold. If this was the first time I had ever been to a Tudor's, I would not go to any of their restaurants, but this is the only one that I've had bad food at, and believe me, I have been to ones all over. The people were nice, but the food was terrible at this restaurant, I will not be back to this one. I get a few things from here, usually either an egg biscuit or a duke biscuit with no cheese. Always gotta get the large sweet tea. 9 times out of 10 the tea is perfect. I'd sometimes get the blackberry biscuit, which is super good and sweet and sometimes the big tater with no cheese but tbh, the big tater has left a lot to be desired lately. The potatoes taste terrible. The star of the show is obviously the biscuits themselves and they are really good. The only weird thing, when I eat my biscuit and then take a drink of my tea, I'm left with a weird feeling in my mouth lol. Maybe from artificial butter? Not sure. These biscuits are not so much to look at but when I say they are one of the best I've ever had; soft, fresh, and savory. How good.. you don't need to put a thing on them; no butter, jelly or jam. The name says it all; the menu is a multitude of biscuit combinations. I came here expecting to order very little and ended up placing a second order. There's nothing fancy or healthy about the food. I am not a biscuit fan but there was nothing healthy anywhere in the area! They have dine in or drive thru. Sadly I think they are short staffed like every where else BUT...... The boys and I ordered cappuccino's and a shaved ham biscuit sandwich. They loved it. Best sweet and salty biscuit ever! Then we ordered the flapjack bacon and sausage sandwich and they were fabulous! I would SOOOOOO recommend a hearty breakfast stop here! Staff was nice and fast and those biscuits were fabulous! Very nice place for Breakfast in Beckley, WV I learned about Biscuit world on my recent trips to West Virginia. Until this visit, I had never visited or eaten at one of these locations. There seems to be at least one location in every town. There are over 70 of these restaurants with many of them in WV. I have eaten at four of these locations on this trip alone and have always been pleased. This visit was not any different. It is located in a stand-alone building at the corner of Harper Road and Harvey Street. Parking is pretty limited and is only in front and behind the site. There are drive-through and eat-in dining options. For the dine-ion options, you order at the counter and get a number that allows them to bring your food to the table. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner but I very much like their breakfast. Their biscuits are very good. The tea is excellent and their eggs are cooked to order. A classic breakfast is about $6 and you get 2 eggs made to order and your choice of bacon, sausage or ham, and toast or a buttermilk biscuit. It is a good amount of food at a price. The staff was efficient and very pleasant. The dining room was a mix of booths and tables. The restaurant was clean. The food came out quickly and was delicious. This particular location had a specific kind of jam that was only available at certain times of the year. I would definitely recommend this to my fellow travelers who are hungry and visiting the Buckhannon area. read more

The flap jack is like a McGriddle. Which is fine. And the biscuits and gravy is fine but the biscuits are kinda hard.

I absolutely love biscuits and these are the best I've ever had. The breakfast sandwiches with bacon, egg, and cheese, the Mary B., are absolutely delicious, the bacon is crispy and tasty. I also get a 1/2 dozen biscuits to go as well. The biscuits are also great with blackberry jam/jelly. Whenever I'm traveling through WV, I always stop. So delicious. This place is no frills but very very good, and cheap. I'd liken it to a Waffle House for biscuits. The last time I was there I had the super breakfast and it was very good, but it was so much food. I could not eat it fast enough before some of it got cold. On another visit I got the blueberry pancakes, which were taste, and the hot syrup is a nice touch. For a tasty, low priced meal, Tudor's Biscuit World is a good choice. (I have had better biscuits, but they were homemade!) The sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich is my favorite. The blueberry pancakes are also quite good, though they don't have real maple syrup. But what kicks this particular Tudor's up a notch from three stars to four is the exceptionally friendly staff. I mean, I grew up in Beckley, so I expect people to be friendly in general but these guys are exceptional. It makes ordering pleasant, and though they don't have wait staff, they do bring your meal to your table when it's ready. read more
