I called Tucson plumbing after I noticed that I had a leaky exterior water faucet. They showed up within a few hours and charged me almost $500. I was aghast at how much they wanted to repair a leaky water faucet. I would recommend getting an estimate before you allow them to do the work. I can't imagine how much they would charge if it was a serious plumbing problem worthy of a plumber. When I complained about the price, the plumber advised me that I could have easily done it myself. Tucson plumbing and heating installed three plumbing in my home when I built it new in 2014/2015. In 2025 we decided to start a major remodel of the entire interior. When the walls were opened up we found that more than one fixture vent line was capped in the wall and not vented through the roof. The worst was yet to come. Because our drains were gurgling and sometimes draining slow we decided to jet the main sewer line out. As part of that service the company we hired also videoed the inside of the pipe. Look at the photo to see what we found. A screw has been drilled into the pipe. The location of this pipe is under the post tension slab of the house. The location of the screw is near the bottom of the pipe. Therefore, this screw would have been in the pipe at the time of original installation in 2014. This would explain the several backed up plumbing events and most recently the flooding of sewer water in multiple rooms of our home. This could have only been an intentional act by someone during construction. If not Tucson Plumbing, then who? Regardless, Tucson Plumbing should have noticed a 3" screw sticking half inside and half outside the pipe during installation. I was a loyal 10 year service customer of Tucson Plumbing, but not anymore and never will be again. They're "FIRED"! read more

I had a non-emergency need to replace two sill cocks on a 30 yr old stucco house. I called in the morning expecting a wait of several days or even weeks. It turned out that they had a cancellation and were able to get to me the same day in the afternoon. I was away but invited them to come and do the work in my absence. The tech called me and advised that he advised against replacing the valves because of the need to punch a hole in the dry wall opposite the valves to check for after-install leaks. He recommended replacing the inner parts and leaving the valves in place. I thought that was the only logical path forward and authorized him to proceed. I think it took him 30-60 minutes. There was a $69 call out charge and a service fee of $301. Total $370. I was satisfied with the whole encounter, but I think the service fee was excessive. For less than an hour. I had an outside pressure regulator valve go bad after ten years and started leaking. Tucson Plumbing did the original install when my home was built in Saddlebrooke Ranch. I was quoted a price of $600 on the phone to do the work. I was shocked how much it was going to be. When the plumber got here he wanted to charge me $650 when I was quoted $600. I called the office and they made it $600. Well when the tech cuts the insulation off the outdoor pipes to access the plumbing, there seems to be a piece of iron rebar in the ground that was right next to touching the copper water pipe..... probably a pipe support during construction. It was covered in a bright orange insulator sleeve presumably to stop electrolysis eating away at the copper pipe. So during the original install somebody did the right thing and insulated the rebar from the copper pipe. So this young guy proceeds to replace the valve and in the process needlessly ripped off all the electrical insulation off the rebar. He took some photos and closed up the insulation and re-wrapped it. Later I looked at the photos and noticed he did not re-insulate the rebar against the copper pipe and simply closed it up as finished. So in time most likely the electrolysis between two dissimilar metals would have eaten through the copper long after Tucson Plumbing was gone leaving me a major problem. An experienced qualified plumber would never have done such a thing. I called the office and they seemed unaware that electrolysis was even a thing and they sent him back the next day. He proceeded to wrap the exposed rebar in plumbing tape. He then looks up at me as if to say I'm done and I noticed he failed to insulate about 1 1/2 inches of rebar at the top. I'm thinking to myself is this guy brain dead at this point since that was why he was there in the first place. I have no idea if this tape he used is an electrical insulator although he claimed it would fix the problem or if I was just getting a snow job to cover his butt. My issues with Tucson plumbing are price gouging..... charging $600 to install a sub $100 valve (their cost) and $500 labor considering he was actually working only about a half hour labor or less. My second issue is the technician ripping the electrical insulation off the iron rebar and failing to re-insulate when done. This could have caused a major expensive repair for me down the road if the copper was eaten away by electrolysis. He wrapped the rod and didn't even wrap the entire rod until I told him. My third issue is the tech closing up the job without even showing me the work that he did for inspection. My last issue is I don't know if plumbers pipe tape is a good enough insulator or if they just slapped something on there and told me it was good. The so called plumber didn't even seem to have the knowledge that electrolysis was a danger that needed to be addressed. Scary for a plumber to not know this. I knew Tucson Plumbing was expensive going in but now I see their plumbers are incompetent as well. I don't want to pay premium prices for crappy work by barely knowledgeable young untrained plumbers. So if you think these guys are quality experienced plumbers do your research you may be shocked at the incompetence and lack of training. I am done with Tucson Plumbing. read more

Chris was knowledgeable and flushed my tankless water heater in 30 minutes but I was required to pay for an hour work as well as trip charge. I have this done once a year and last year it costs $130 and this time it was $309. Will not use them again read more

The job required removing a thermostatic mixer from our hot water heater and adding flex tubings, materials less than $50. We were charged $602 and it took less than two hours. That's almost $300 per hour in labor and the high end of the average for our area is $150. I will never use Tucson Plumbing again and I would not recommend them to any. read more

Called because an outside spigot failed, causing water to gush out - we had no water as we had to turn off at main cutoff valve. The tech came within a couple of hours. He was professional and competent, explained that he had to do some welding to install new spigot. We thought the charges were on the high side but per neighbors they were average and reasonable. The plumbers---Jesus Jimenez-Ochoa and McIntosh Martinez...were courteous and knowledgeable with a nice touch of humor. They came in under the original estimate and apparently did a good job because we haven't had a problem. We have used other plumbing companies with varied results, but have used Tucson Plumbing for our last three or four jobs and now that is our "go to" company. He replaced not only the toilet but the supply line valve as well since the current valve was worn. This is specifically for Steve T We called Tucson Plumbing and talked to Dori, the dispatcher. We told her that we had a clogged kitchen drain and a leak. She said she would get someone out to see us on Monday, since we called on a Friday. We asked if all the plumbers were employees and she said yes! She also said that all the plumbers were employed ten years or longer. When the plumber showed up Monday, we found out that Dori did not accurately describe our problem on the work order, but he came expecting only a leak. We also found out that the truck that came out with the plumber, who was an independent contractor, was not fully equipped to handle a clog further than 50 feet from the kitchen sink. (our clog was past 50 feet. The longer snake was not on the truck due to the lack of equipment distributed to the contractors. The plumber. Brian, was very exceptional, and was highly skilled. However, without the proper tools, he did his best, After over three hours, Brian left with everything apparently working properly. An hour after he left, the Clog returned and was worse than when we started. We called, and Brian was to return the next day. He snaked it again with no success. He needed a longer snake! We immediately called the company and talked to Jasper, the supervisor over all the contracted plumbers. WITHIN THE COURSE OF TWO MINUTES, JASPER INSULTED MY WIFE, INSULTED ME, AND WAS SO RUDE, I ALMOST CAME THROUGH THE PHONE! Not only was he rude, but he lied to us blatantly throughout the phone conversation. This guy has no business being on the phone ever with a customer. He has 0 people skills! We had to overlook Jasper's temper, bad manners, and rudeness with the hopes that they would return without charging us more than the $586 we already spent. Brian returned the third time with the proper snake. The problem was fixed to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend Brian, but were very dissatisfied with Jasper and the high prices charged by Tucson Plumbing. read more

Two men (one a new hire in training) came to my home. I had to request that they wear masks and then had to remind one of the men to put it on after being out in his truck. They did not have booties with them or bring any lysol wipes per the website statement below. These are all professional practices that have been in place with contractors for pre-covid. I have asthma and do all that I can to keep my home clean and as free as possible of allergens and viruses. I rarely write a review like this and hope it helps discerning customers. The manager stated he did not want to get into a political discussion when I noted my feedback. He missed the point and attempted to minimize my concerns. Received an estimate for $650 to install a water filtration system that we purchased separately. I called to schedule the installation and was told that it would be an additional $200 because they had to run a line to our kitchen. Ok, now the estimate is $850. This past Wednesday our tankless hot water went out for the 4th time. In the past, Tucson Plumbing has been able to diagonose and repair our problems. The hot water heater was putting out a "code 11" which indicates that the gas is not properly igniting. This past April Tucson Plumbing replaced the igniter switch. When they came out on Wednesday, the plumber/tech came out without a gadget called a manometer, a standard and critical tool used to analyize gas pressure. When the hot water heater company refused to work with him without the tool (duh, the unit runs on gas), the tech said that his boss would not let him come back till the end of week, walked off the job, and totally screwed us. The good news is that hours later Pioneer Plumbing got us up and running. I do not recommend Tucson Plumbing. I will never use them again for anything. read more

After calling the owner, Jasper, myself it was clear he was not willing to hear our concerns and for lack of a more appropriate term, he was a bully and threatening. It is not my nature to write negative reviews, yet while attempting to have a "meeting of the minds" - communication went from poor to disastrous. This is a situation where it is necessary to post my experience and would not recommend due to aggressive tone and non-flexibility. The tech was very pleasant, clearly very experienced, and did an excellent job repairing our pinhole leak in a 3/4" copper line, but the resulting $521 charge was a bit exhuberant. We had the repair done on a Sunday morning and admittedly, the service was prompt (within 2 hours of our call), so I was prepared to pay a bit more for the work, but we were clearly overcharged by about $200. read more

I called on a Wednesday to schedule a plumber to come out for a construction bid. We scheduled for Friday. They gave me a range of time that they would arrive which was 8am -12pm. They also told me about their 70$ bid charge that would apply to the bottom line if scheduled. All of that was fine, except they never showed up. Thank you, Tucson Plumbing, for saving me the 70$ and showing me up front that you can not be dependable! I'll go with the other bid that showed up promptly, for free, as they promised. read more

1st. Let me say that at least we got the job done . This was neither after hours or on a weekend . Tim showed up an hr after the office told me he would Total time from the time Tim ( the plumber ) showed up till I got the bill was 1hr 50 min . I volunteered to help him to expedite matters ( I am a tradesman as well) and at no time was told hat I would be charged extra for the pleasure . The process of replacing 2 valves 1 - 11/4 in ball valve and 1 -3/4 inch gate valve went smoothly except that I had to go to the store and purchase the valve ! I also let Tim use my tools !! He apparently did not have a saws all ! For this I was charged $417 !! With my labor ,my tools and my parts ! Just about 2 X what the job was worth under extraordinary circumstances. this was not that . Am I angry? You bet! When I got the bill I could not speak . I called the office the next day and the girl said Tim would call me back. When he did he said " it was out of his hands." Beware of this company. read more

Scope was to check BBQ grill gas hookup and ensure right line between gas line and grill was used. The plumber checked and found the solution with my help in providing the manual and determined he did not have the right parts. So he went to the hardware and got the part and installed the right line. The installation was a plug in play but it took about as long as I would have replaced it - expecting quicker for a plumber. In the end, I was charged for the hardware trip and longer than expected install - what started out as a $69 trip charge (which was basic) but it quickly added up for a $550 plumber job to replace 2 basic gas flex hoses! The serviceman was very nice. He adjusted two toilets so they would flush efficiently. I also had a new kitchen faucet I wanted to have installed. He received an estimate for the installation from the home office. The estimated charge was $629.00. Unbelievable! I sent him on his way......I paid the 69.00 trip fee. So the estimate was $629.00 to install the faucet. The serviceman adjusted the water flow in the toilets and said they were fine. I watched a 10 minute video showing how to install a faucet on you tube. Hardly a job worth $629.00! I think the elderly should be very careful! read more

I've been using Tucson Plumbing for several years, and just had a new hot water heater installed. Also I use a water filtration system on my house and they just changed the filters. My water tastes great. Last year the water never quite tasted right even though they came to check it. I'm not an expert but feel they are a little expensive; however, in my case I like the customer service and the ability to reach them easily. They've never been late for an appointment. The guys are always pleasant but I think some are more talented than others. In general I'm very glad they're there for my plumbing needs. read more

The quality of their work is not at issue here. They get two stars for exorbitant prices. We had them come out to replace a leaking seal in the toilet. Popped in a new seal, fixed. Then we asked them to swap out an old shower head for a new one that I provided. A couple twists, done. The bill came to $30 for the plastic ring (under $5 at stores), and $229 for labor. I found that charge outrageous and told them so, but they insisted the charge was correct. If you call Tucson plumbing for any simple repair, be forewarned. Their pricing is inexcusable. read more

They came out to do what turned out to be some very trivial plumbing tasks at a minimum of a $69 trip fee which was agreed to. Once they arrived they gave me the quote (on the spot) it was $429 for what eventually turned out to be 1.5 hours of work and 3 inexpensive parts that I could have purchased at Hope Depot for $15. The quote was $429 which lead me to believe that maybe they might needed 4 hours to do the job...... but actually took 1.5 hours! These guys are rip off artists! An honest plumber would have charged me for the time ($/hr) it took and the parts at a reasonable price. And to top it off, when the owner was contacted he did nothing to reconcile the problem. This place cares only about one thing...... themselves! Poor customer service and a greedy owner! I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. read more
