Called in service for an issue with shower. The tech, Luis, refused to listen to what I had to say about the problem. He never removed the drain cap, he never used any tools to look into the drain. He just ran the shower for 90 seconds and insisted that nothing was wrong. Don't use these guys. read more

This is the worst plumbing company, They put in a new water heater and redid the vent and now the vent leaks water into my house when it rains. I called to have them come and fix this and they advised me that they only waranty their labor for 30 days. I have an 8 year warranty on the hot water heater but the terrible plumbing company ruined my roof and now it leaks into my house. They have damaged my house and damaged my roof to my house. Do not ever use them because they do not warranty because they will not warranty their work. read more

I was extremely disappointed with their scheduling. We were without hot water for 6 total days counting the weekend. They scheduled us for Monday between 1-5 PM. By 4:00 we had not heard form them and called their office. We were told the tech would still come out as soon as he finished the home he was working on. Around 5:00 we were told they wouldn't come out. Apparently, they were working at home w/out water. I felt like the tech should have let us and his office know sooner that he wouldn't make it out. Whether it was working overtime or sending another tech would have thought that they worked overtime and took care of our issue. We were then scheduled for Tuesday morning between 7-9. I told their office that, under the circumstances, they should have been to our home at 7:00. We were told that the techs had to turn in paperwork and he needed to get the part from the plumber who didn't show on Monday. Horrible. Warranty company scheduled them. New water heater-tech did not bleed the lines. New garbage disposal-did not replace properly so when I ran the dishwasher, water flooded under the sink onto the floors. No show/no call for second appointment. I called the office and a supervisor insured they would contact my tenant the next day to reschedule. No call. I submitted a request through my home warranty company to have a blockage removed from my bathroom plumbing. I was assigned TAZ Plumbing. The technician came to my home and diagnosed the issue. I will add that the technician did not speak English very well and it was extremely difficult to understand what he was telling me. A week has passed and I have heard nothing from the company as to when they will be back to fix the problem. I cannot use my shower, toilet, or washing machine. I feel it is unacceptable for a company to take this long just to get an estimate to a warranty company, leaving a customer severely inconvenienced. This is extremely unprofessional and rude. Let's start with the staff - Jose is the man. He's clearly a seasoned plumber and jumped right into the job. I swear this may have been the fastest plumbing job I've seen. Between pulling out my range, dealing with the gas line, re-plumbing the connection and shutoff valve, he was in and out in like 10min. I swear he probably spent more time looking at then job to make sure he had what he needed vs. knocking it out. The man clearly knew what he was doing and did it quickly. Added perk he had all the parts on his truck and reused several of mine. As for the employee that scheduled my appointment, she was wonderful. Wish I got her name, she was friendly, kind, and was very pleasant to work with. Now as for the pricing, I did take off 1x star for the pricing. I get that plumbing is not cheap, and I also recognize I'm paying for the knowledge, experience and bonded/insured company. That said, for what appeared to be a very easy / quick job that was scheduled in advance, it hurt the wallet a bit more than I was expecting. I mean I get it, you get what you pay for, but it was like 30%+ more than what I was expecting from asking around. So plan accordingly. Overall though it was a very good experience with Taz. I get several reviewers had some poor experiences, maybe it was just the tech they were working with. Horrible. I found them on marketplace on Facebook and was told they accepted venmo. I knew it was dodgy after seeing on marketplace they wouldn't let you know where they were located. When I had the guy show up 15 minutes late he looked and called and told me it would be $240 for an hour work. This was for a clogged dish disposal then proceeded to say they do not accept venmo. Do NOT GO HERE. If you're in Tucson use 88 drain. He came out in 30 minutes and only charged $88. read more

Our washing machine overflowed. They came out, told me there was a break in a pipe, it would cost a little over $7,000 to repair. For that much I got a second opinion. The second guy came out and after using a camera and looking at the same pipes told me they were old and had some narrowing due to build up. He showed me the video and we talked through everything. It's hard to believe that's what they charge after speaking to 2 other plumbing companies. Well, American Home Shield and TAZ Plumbing not recommended!!!! I had a leak under my kitchen sink since December 28. I put my call in to American Home Shield and it took this long (until today) for the plumbers to come out. It started out as a small leak which ended up being a huge leak and a broken hose from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal. I had water pouring out everywhere. So my friend took a piece of a foam from an exercise bike handle and did a temporary fix. Since it's not leaking, they denied the claim to fix it correctly. I paid $100 for TAZ to tell me that they could not fix it because American Home Shield would deny the claim. This plumber walked in my house without any tools so it tells me that they had no plan to fix it today. What a scam collect $100 for a trip to my house. I still have a problem. If you were a realtor or someone looking for a home warranty may I suggest looking somewhere else? read more

I needed the flange replaced on our toilet. The Tech came out and said he needed to cut a third of our tile, down into the concrete, the pipe and possibly into the wall. The job would cost 2300. Barring anything else they may find. The next plumber who came from Code Blue said none of that was necessary. It simply needs to be replaced for 525.00. Our new water heater works well, so there's that. The complaint stemmed from refusing to itemize the bill so that we can see exactly why we were being charged the amount of money we were. We had a drippy faucet. It took three trips out here to get it repaired. The second time they were here, they did damage to my cabinet, broke my drain pipe, which to be fair, they fixed, left a huge mess, and left tool marks on my showerhead. I also had a immunocompromised friend over and I asked the repair man to wear a mask when he walked through the living room. He ignored that request. I also requested that he close my garage door or use the front door after needing to go outside. We keep our bikes in the garage, which I explained to him. He left my garage door open three separate times in that one visit. Attached are pictures of how they left my cabinets. I have made several calls and emails, along with the pictures. It has been three weeks. They still have yet to respond. Don't invite these people into your house, and avoid them if you have American Home Shield. They also left a huge mess which they did not clean up. My bathroom is clean before they got here, not afterwards. read more

We have been waiting 6 days to get our hot water heater replaced through our home warranty company. They were supposed to come 5 days ago, then 3 days ago, and today. Apparently when they went to pick up the new water heater today, it wasn't available. Is there no one that coordinates this in advance? Tomorrow is day 7. I work at a hospital and I haven't been able to properly decontaminate and shower at home. We're new to the area so no friends/family who we can visit for help. Timeliness is NOT something this company possesses. If you want something addressed within a reasonable time frame, find another company. My kitchen sink was backed up so I called for service on a Tuesday morning, spoke to a representative who told me I would see a technician that day but around 1pm I called to ask when the technician would be showing up and the next representative I spoke to on the phone told me no one put in the order and I would not be able to receive service till the next day at 5pm. TAZ was great at rerouting a broken sewer line in one of ojur AIRBNB homes. We had a deadline of just a few days as guests were checking in. Taz not only rerouted the sewer line, they also replaced an aging water heater and fixed a leak in the other bathroom. All was done on time and was done well. Very professional and excellent service. Warning...stay away from this company. I learned the hard way. Taz plumbing was assigned to look at the plumbing problem at my rental condo by my home warranty company. The plumber found a small leak in the faucet spray hose line. They then told the tenants not to use the kitchen sink water until they got repair parts. But they didn't shut the water valve off. That was over 2 weeks ago! So, since then, the tenant of course starts to use the sink. And then the leak turned into a big leak, and flooded the downstairs unit when the tenants were out of town. All in all, I'll be paying over $1200 in repairs because of the incompetence of this company. When I called them, they said "well, we told them not to use the sink". Had an appointment to change my water heater via the 2-10 home warranty, Taz told me there would be a fee to move the gas line out of the way to do the install and the fee would be 125.00 (or very close to that). That's kinda weird since the gas line goes to the heater, none the less I agreed and had them come out only to find that the price would now be 285.00!!! Again this was through a home warranty , and when I called my warranty company they advised that Taz plumbing never told them there would be an additional cost to me 2-10 Home warranty offered me a reimbursement OR a cash payout option, TAKE THE CASH OPTION INSTEAD and use a different company, I went with Just Water Heaters and they installed a water heater for me and I was able to use the check from 2-10 home warranty. Taz plumbing gave me two different prices to move something that takes 5 minutes to move, and wanted me to pay 285 bucks!!! Outrageous. read more

I called my home warranty company for a kitchen faucet that didn't have hot water, and they assigned TAZ Plumbing. They called several times before the appointment and the service man arrived on time. The faucet was fixed pronto (hot and cold leads to faucet were reversed...who would think to turn the handle all the way to cold to get hot water?). That morning, my toilet began acting up and wouldn't drain quickly like it did the night before. He ran a roto-rooter and cleaned up the problem quickly. Great service, gave good advice on things to change in the future. I've already recommended them to my neighbors and friends. read more

Read several reviews of this business and was skeptical, but once the plumber Adrian arrived and began his assessment, I could tell he knew what he was talking about. Had a 90% clogged drainpipe leading from the kitchen sink and laundry room out to the main line. Adrian at first used the standard snake, but once it came out clean, he knew it had to be residue buildup on the inside of the pipe that could only be cleaned out using a water-jet cleaner. He had to return to the office on the NW side to retrieve the device, which was a little annoying but not his fault. Once he returned, the process was done in about 30 min. Some of the residue back-washed to the cleanout under the kitchen sink, so he was able to show me what was in there - yuck. Thanks again, Adrian for a job well done. Final cost was just under $500 ($600 with the AHS service call) but compared to the potential floor damage that could have happened on our nearby laminate flooring, I'd pay it again tomorrow. It's not the best way to start the day by getting out of bed and having standing water on your floor. Ben was out that day to get our ruptured hot water heater shut down and removed. Unfortunately we have a very small mechanical room and it required them to order a hot water heater but when it arrived Elmer and his apprentice were here to complete the install and get us back to hot showers. Start to finish, working with TAZ Plumbing was an easy and professional transaction. Super friendly staff and they showed up when they said they would show up. They installed a hot water heater through warranty but the installer welded near the wall and didn't use a shield so I had black smoke marks on my wall and had to repaint and I also noticed it smelling like gas and he said it would go away..nope it was a faulty controller or whatever it's called.
