We have used Silverado several times over the years for various plumbing projects that come up in our old house. This time my wife was convinced we needed a new hot water heater and we had some other minor leaky faucets and such that needed attention. So, I called and set up an appointment for the other day. There was a minor mix-up in the dispatch office on the morning of and the wrong guy with the wrong truck with the wrong orders showed up on time (that was nice). Several excited calls followed and then David showed at about 10 a.m. in the right truck with the right tools and the right parts to do the work. Removal and installation of the new tank went quickly as did the other plumbing issues. The point is, Silverado came through and took care of us while David was always friendly and polite. He worked quickly and expertly finishing everything it what seemed to be a short amount of time. Everything was cleaned up and it all works great now. In the 7 years since the first time I called them, I've used Silverado a handful of times for small stuff and they've always been reliable - but last week Rodney really went above and beyond: I had 2 really old shower faucet cartridges that needed to be replaced (and I don't like doing them myself in case they break off inside the valve body) but when he took the first valve cover off we realized the retaining clip was missing (probably corroded into pieces long ago) and only age & friction were holding in that cartridge. I made a quick run to Ace to see if they had any replacement clips while he checked his truck for any spares. When I came back empty handed I found him using the one good clip I had from the second shower as a template to make a new clip out of wire from his truck. Instead of being stuck w/o water all day while driving across town to plumbing store to find the part, this guy had me up and running in 30 extra minutes. read more

The backyard pipe connecting to the spigot broke off, leaving only a 1/4" sticking out. The main water had to be shut off on Sunday. Called Silverado early Monday morning and had someone out by 10 am. Kevin replaced the pipe in the wall with minimal impact on the surrounding wall. The price was VERY reasonable. We were interested in having two toilets replaced. A bit difficult to reach Silverado via their website, but through their chat we got through. We were delighted to have Manny Medina service our needs. He measured us up. Assured us that the model toilets we wanted would work. We ordered them from Home Depot. Manny picked them up, brought them back, installed them, and to my wife's delight he wore botties while working our project. Manny took about 45 minutes per toilet. Job, completed in one day! Our service was excellent. We needed service for a waste garbage disposal. We then had our serviceman look at a toilet that had been put in by another company. Since it had been serviced twice by the company that placed it and was still not working properly we had Silverado place a new toilet. Now all is well. I had used this company with great success and outright joy in the past but did not realize that it had been sold. In May I had a flood from a water leak under my house. I called Silverado for service since the leak was under the water heater installed by them last year. I asked for emergency leak detection and immediate removal of the flooding. Two hours late from the dispatch time of arrival Gilbert Pesqueira and Chauncy Woyee finally showed up, and according to the house sitter I hired to be present, Mr Pesqueira completely "stoned out of his mind". In phone calls to my office that day my office manager related that the tech was obviously under the influence of mind altering substances. They fumbled around for 4 hours, left to get equipment they forgot to bring(rented at Home Depot 6 miles away), after taking a 95 minute lunch. The equipment trip took 75 minutes. Mr Pesqueira misdiagnosed the leak and chased that for 4 hours. Mr Woyee spent over 3 hours playing on his phone right in front of my Ring doorbell. Two hours after they finally pumped out the water he suddenly found a hose that was on. I was charged almost $200 an hour for the two so called techs, including their extended lunch break and rental trip when they failed to bring the proper equipment. When I disputed the bill he confessed he did do leak detection at all. The damage done to the ducts under the house is significant. I have attempted 7 times to speak with anyone at all at Silverado to no avail. I have been left on hold with no connection. My final bill for 2.5 hours of actual work was $2237.81 for a hose left on. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed with the service I received. A technician was sent out to address a leaking water heater--but here's the catch: the heater already needed to be replaced, and the water had been shut off by the association, so there was no active leak. Despite that, the technician spent time draining and attempting to clean out the unit, which makes absolutely no sense. Why would anyone waste time and billable hours on a water heater that is clearly on its last leg and due for replacement? To make matters worse, I waited over a week for a call from a supervisor to get an explanation, and I received no response until now. That kind of delay is unacceptable. Yes, the AC condensate line was cleared--fine. But that does not justify the unnecessary work on the water heater or the resulting charges. It feels like a complete lack of common sense and consideration for the customer's best interest. I will be speaking with the HOA about this appointment and the overcharging, and I will make sure others know how this situation was handled. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company--what happened here was not just disappointing, it was ludicrous. read more

So once again I desperately needed a plumber so I reached out to Silverado. I had used them a number of times and gave them 5 stars then. Today, Saturday, I called and they said they would be here in 45 minutes. A young man named Kyle arrived on time after I expected to possibly have to wait hours if not tomorrow. He dug into to job, was courteous and knowledgeable. He took my toilet off and had to use the big machine. I don't know what that means. I asked him how much it would cost and he said oh it shouldn't be any more than $300 which I thought was a godsend, considering what my daughter had paid to another plumbing service for the same issue. He got done he cleaned up things and I paid and I even gave him a tip. He was so wonderful. I recommend Silverado plumbing to everybody and I will continue to use them in the future if need arises! A crew from this company came to work on my neighbor's house. They dug a trench and threw all the dirt and rocks on my side of the property line, in the process burying my landscaping lights and creating a huge mess on my property. Usually when companies do this kind of work, they put down a tarp and minimize the mess. Not these guys. When I asked them to clean up the mess and stop trespassing, they started arguing with me and repeatedly said "we will fix it when we are done." I had to stand there and insist that they remove the mess and stay off my property. Ignorant, disrespectful, unprofessional morons. We contacted the company at 8 am and they gave me a 12-4 window, I called at 4pm asking an ETA and the lady I spoke to said we were next on the list. After that point things got completly crazy, I called every hr for an ETA and they kept saying we will text the tech and get back to you and never did. Finally at 7:15pm, the tech called very confused on what was going on cause he was told by someone on his side that I had requested to reschedule for the next morning which I had not. He said he would still come out if needed as he was heading towards my location so I said ok cause my schedule didn't allow for a next day appt. WHAT wasn't relayed was that it would take him over an hr to arrive at my house. He arrived at 8:45pm and did the job to ensure we were taken care of however, I'm really upset about the poor communication between myself and what was relayed to the tech on his end. Woke up this morning to a stream in my front yard. Called our regular plumber and he texted me to say he was taking the day off. Called the plumber he referred and they told me they could come 7 days from now. When I repeated the fact that I had an active leak he sighed and said guess he could do three days from now. The next two places told me 12 hours minimum. I turned to Yelp at that point and saw Silverado and their great reviews. They were at my house within two hours, and two hours later the issue was resolved. The guy who's name I don't remember was nice, helpful and efficient. He fully explained everything to me, answered my questions and gave me clear follow up details. We called this company a couple nights ago because there was a leak in the garage. They sent out a technician and told us the water softner pipe needed to be replaced. The next day they sent out one " technician" to replace the pipe. The job was done very unprofessionally, absolutely appalling . The pipe has a kink and there is no water pressure. I told the technician to come back and fix it. He said he would but never did. Now we have to call another company to fix it. I am very curious how in the world this guy is able to get his license to become a plumber? read more

It took 3 days to receive a quote after they came out for an estimate. I called to schedule the repair after I received the quote and I was told I would receive a call from the scheduler w/in 24 hours. I called after 24/48/72 hours and each time I was told they were working on it and I would receive a call within a few hours. I finally gave up and decided to call a more reliable company. The estimate was e-mailed to me on Wednesday evening. I have the e-mail as proof in response to their comment. I called at least twice to follow-up on the estimate. read more

My property had a broken pipe under the foundation that needed to be fixed. An estimate was given to fix the issue and then they told me they would have to re-quote me. It was almost double the amount. I had no other choice because they had already made a 2'x4' hole in the bathroom. They made another 2'x3' hole in the kitchen, and fixed the issue. However, they left dust literally everywhere in the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The technician didn't even clean up. I called the office and advised them of the issue & they said a manager would call me. It's been 4 days and I'm still waiting for a call. Not to mention their representatives are not as friendly. Did I mention they left dust everywhere and there is a new born in the household? I do not recommend this company, I would rather pay extra and get treated as a valued customer.
